  • Not one of my favorite episodes, if I were to clasify it I would have to say it was the worst episode this season

Not one of my favorite episodes , if I were to clasify it I would have to say it was the worst episode this season , the only reason I gave it an 8 is because of the tiny bit of GSR . I wasn't at all fond of the whole A - case.

The only part of this epiosde that I liked was Sara's talk with Grissom . She tells him that he's always been more than a boss to her , & Grissoms reaction - he was totally speachless - he didn't know how to respond to that.
  • Best CSI scene ever

For me this episode was not memorable save for two things. First and foremost was the scene between Grissom and Sara in his office. "You've always been a little more than a boss to me." You just gotta love how that scene and Grissom's reaction sums up their relationship. This scene is simply perfection; every second of that scene was played as well as could be. Sara's character is so upfront and Grissom just can't get the words out. I love it. And then we have the killer's creepy performance at the end. Very creepy. I believe the actor has gone on to do movies. I think he was in 'shooter' with Mark Wahlberg but it was definitely a creepy performance worth watching. But nothing tops the look on Grissom's face when Sara thanks him and gets up to leave his office. And her 'it's Okay, Okay" ranks up there with "That's a stupid reason" for the top 5 best delivered lines on CSI ever. And you can't overlook the fact that we get to see alot of Nick in this ep. I enjoy him and Vega.
  • Death, drugs and rock and roll

This one didn't carry beyond the end of the episode, which has to rank it as a rarity in the CSI-verse, but not in a good way. There was a dearth of interaction mostly due to the change in personnel shifts which has separated the team, but even given that handicap this episode was mediocre. The two main storylines involving the underworld of mexican narcocorrido, and the exploitation of an eldery lady by a greedy telemarketer were badly paired, both too weak to carry a full episode, either would have worked as secondary to a stronger first stream story. Ther was really only few moments that took this episode from abysmal to mediocre, and the best of these was the exchange between Grissom & Sara, once again she managed to leave him speechless with just a few words and a look. It's a talent many would envy.
  • Sort of a filler episode...

Snakes, though beginning with a gross premise -- a snake in a head, doesn\'t do anything to build on that momentum. It delves into a sect of the Las Vegas Hispanic community, and unless you speak Spanish, it\'s likely that you\'ll find you\'re a tad bit lost as the story continues on.

Kudos to an appropirately creepy portrayal by Tony Plana as the creepy witch doctor, though. But as the episode develops, it just gets more and more farfetched, ending with an \"almost shoot-out\" that\'s supposed to seem dramatic of climatic -- Nick\'s screaming in Spanish with his gun drawn that the man they\'re collecting harmed an innocent girl, Detective Vega looks a little afraid -- but the whole thing seemed farfetched, including the murderer\'s motive for murdering the girl.

All in all, not their best work.
  • Add a little GSR and you get a nearly good episode.

So the episode itself was rather bad. It's so bad I can't even remember what the case was really about. Nick would have been right at home if he had grown a 'stache for this episode but fortunately he was 'stache free. The part with the snake was creepy but added to the dark tone of the episode.

Now the greatest part of the episode was the GSR. Now it wasn't a lot of GSR as GSR episode go but it still was there. When it comes to GSR Grissom says something that crosses the line then Sara feels that she needs to say something. Not that I'm complaining or anything, bring on the GSR!!!!!

  • El espaƱol de Nicky era la mejor parte. Don't speak Spanish? Me neither, really. But my Nicky does...

Probably the least "riveting" episode of the season as of yet ... though, it seems by now, the writers have covered nearly every type of community one could fathom. Nick carries the A-case nearly entirely by himself (with a tad bit of help from Cath) and carries it well ... too bad the case was only mildly interesting. And now, for unclear reasons, Warrick (swing shift) joins heads with Greg and Sofia (night shift) to investigate the "death of a salesman." Warrick and Brass carry the only senses of humor in this one ... making Sara's confrontation with Grissom about their "relationship" seem even more serious.
