Goof: When the bathtub is first examined, Catherine takes out her swab to get a sample of the hair dye. The q-tip is dirty when she takes it out of the supposedly sterile box, but is clean again when she goes to collect the sample.
Goof: Satellite TV isn't cable TV, yet the dishes on the houses say Luna Cable.
Nick's apartment is seen for the first time. George Eads, who plays Nick, requested that some trophies be removed and books added in the apartment in order to match his CSI profession and get rid of the high school atmosphere he felt. For the final outlook, the writers addressed his concerns.
Goof: When you get a close up of Nick as he's sitting in the wheelchair you see he has a cut on his cheek. It's obviously still an 'open wound' that in reality would require some sort of bandage, yet there's no bandage over it. Not even butterfly strips.
Morris Pearson: Green tea... green tea! Does that mean anything to you?
Right before Nigel and Morris crash through the ceiling we see Nick's carpet, which has a green letter 'T' on it.
This episode was aired on April 4th, 2002, but if you look closely at the medicine bottle Nick takes moments before Morris Pearson knocks on the door, the "date filled" was April 17, 2002. This scene took place 13 days into the future.
Warrick (to Greg): What are you reading?
Greg (looks at magazine): This is Pink. Pink this is Warrick. (to the magazine) You know how hot you are!
Nick: Why me?
Grissom I don't think it was about you, Nick. Or Jane Galloway, for that matter. I think it was more about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. His premise is that social beings strive to belong. In Nigel's mind, Jane Galloway was someone he could control which was okay for a while but you ... you were someone he could actually become. See, Maslow's Fifth Tier of the Hierarchy is Self-Actualization. The problem for Nigel is that you would have to die in order for that to happen. Or else he would.
Sara: Twenty-five years to life, Nick. It's over.
Nick: It's not over for me. It's over for Jane Galloway.
Nigel: Nick, you know what a nine-millimeter slug does to a skull at close range? You know? (Nigel pulls his gun back and holds it in front of his face)
Nigel: Blow it right apart, right? Brains like strawberry swirled. Whipped cream, everywhere. And you. (Nigel points the gun back at Nick) You'd have to scoop that stuff up, right? Yeah, little pieces of skull and bone and brains. All in individual baggies with the victim's name on the label.
Nick: You know I don't want to disappoint you, Nigel, but this isn't the first time I've had a gun in my face. How do you want this to end, Nigel?
Nigel: How do I want this to end? I want you to be able to remember my name.
Warrick: Grissom, this guy was right there. I could have had him.
Grissom: You helped out Nick. That was the right thing to do.
Warrick: Doesn't feel like the right thing.
Catherine: You know, Nick was alone. The stalker could have killed him and didn't.
Grissom: Yeah, I wonder why. Let's go back over there.
Warrick: I'm going with you.
Grissom: No, no. You need to calm down a little. Talk to Nick when he wakes up.
Grissom: You know that blonde fiber we were looking at?
Warrick: Fiberglass insulation -- comes in pink and yellow. But you already knew that. Is that why you're calling?
Grissom: Not really. I was checking a phone line. But good work.
Morris: You don't believe me, do you?
Grissom: Mr. Pearson, I'm a scientist.
Morris: And I am a clairvoyant. You see science without abstractions. I see visions with abstractions.
Sara (about Jane Galloway): Uh, I ran a phone check on all her incoming calls. Guess where they were coming from.
Catherine (shocked): Inside her house.
Sara: Any idea how you got this blood?
Adam Piorio: I don't remember.
Brass: We're going to take you to a place and help you remember.
Greg: What's up?
Nick: Stop invading my privacy, man, I don't like it. I'm just trying to do my job around here. I don't need the extra attention.
Greg: Okay. But, I mean, you are the one who's doing the "Forensic Spotlight" in the department newsletter. (Nick tightens his grip on Greg's shoulder. Greg winces in pain)
Nick I didn't do anything, man. Someone from the community wrote a letter of commendation.
(Nick enters the break room to find Warrick and Sara giggling over latest "Crime Stopper" issue)
Warrick: Who wrote this?
Nick: You're kidding me, right?
Warrick: "Nick Stokes, Crime Stopper." (Nick laughs) You went Hollywood on me, man.
Sara: And I quote, "in his off time, he enjoys creating and inventing toys." That's fascinating. What kind of toys do you make, Nick?
Nick: I thought I got my hands on all those departmental newsletters. Where'd you get those?
Warrick & Sara: Greg.
Nick: Yeah, that figures.
Catherine: Oh, and don't forget what's under the bed.
Nick: Why, what's under the bed?
Catherine: Something that you would have caught eventually ... "Crime Stopper" ...
Nick (laughs): No one's going to let me live that one down, are they?
Catherine: No. You know, now that you're a celebrity, you may want to think about getting a new shirt.
(Grissom and Catherine stare at the door of the the first victim's house)
Catherine: So, how did he get in?
Grissom: A better question -- how'd he get out?
Doctor: Now, these painkillers are the real deal, okay? Don't overdo it. Plenty of rest. No work for at least a week.
Sara: Will do, thank you, doctor. (the Doctor leaves, Sara wheels Nick down the hall in the wheelchair)
Nick: The gloves, you find them?
Sara: Catherine thinks he might have got away with them. But, uh, Grissom did find some wacky video collection.
Nick: Of what?
Sara: Now, did you not just hear the doctor? You're supposed to rest. We're on it, okay?
Warrick: Yeah, relax, Ironside.
(about Nick's high school prom date)
Warrick: You think she's a suspect?
Nick: No. She lives in Bosnia, man. Maine or something. She's got three kids.
What's she going to do, fly in for murder?
Doc Robbins: I can tell you two things. She died of a lack of O2 and she was a natural blonde. (Grissom and Robbins stare at Catherine)
Catherine: What are you looking at me for?

This also refers to the Season 1 episode "Who Are You?" where Nick has a woman pull a gun on him and aim it at his head.
