  • Something no other CSI has...

After a long long waiting... we could finally say.. it almost happened.. we saw a kiss.. and we had something very beautiful... a marriage proposal.. but those things never go the way we expect.. and I think it was very romantic.. the way the proposal was done.. those bees... so Grissom alike.. :)

And the cases.. really catching for a while.. the bones... under the old Rambart place.. and I adored that there was room to everyone in this episode - Cathrine got screen time and something really promising may come from her need for justice. And Greg... it was so nice to see him in action... and Wallace seems to get more attention too..

It was superb episode with so many good things - exciting cases, thrilling scenes, something for everyone, different characters on focus. And so many things not sure yet.. waiting next episode
  • Finally! After waiting for nearly 8 years it's happening…

Once more, CSI does not deceive with the level of forensic in the case. On another note, it's kind of difficult not to mention the elephant in the room, but the proposal scene was just in the right dose... Not too much emphasis that it's like a soap drama proposal but what would be expected from the geeks with their bee suits and netting which gets them bumping into each other instead of a proper kiss :) Hodges being Hodges bargaining with Sara to get the sole credit for the scientific article and noticing that something's making her happy… and later on, a sweet touch with the Bugman daydreaming and having a guilty look when Catherine comes in with the carps…
  • Enjoyable and an inprovement on the last few episodes.

I liked this episode. Two good, interesting stories that used the regular cast well. Although, the way they have to keep shoe-horning Sara into each episode because of her move to the swing-shift is looking more and more contrived. But it does mean we see more of Jessica Lucas' character Ronnie Lake, so I'll just shut up about that!

The water pollution story was very sad and it was nice to see an ex-cast member of Star Trek: Enterprise making a (short) appearance [That's John Billingsley]. The other story (about a murder case from 1964) was not quite so involving but ok nonetheless.

    Spoiler ahead..........

And the libidinous Grissom finally proposes to Sara and she said yes. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That's arr.. as in sweet not arr.. as in scream!
  • Marriage? Now you guys are contradicting yourselves.

Well, I'm pretty sure you are. Wasn't it some episode that neither of you wanted to marry or was that a story I read? Anyway, the crimes were very interesting. I was totally curious as to how the writers were going to pull off "a guy with feminine features". I was totally not thinking about a guy with boobs.

Lol, Henry, that silly boy. Really, you shouldn't try to get better points then Hodges in Grissom's books by cracking boob jokes. And Hodges! Lol, i'm glad the writers had him do that scene with Sara regarding the forensics paper. Hodges was starting to mellow out a little.

You know, I hope Nick isn't trying to make a move on Wendy. She's been unofficially taken by Hodges. Then ending with Greg taking Catherine's mum out to dinner was priceless. Lol.
  • Grissom proposes...

    "Superb"
It was a very good episode. I was very surprised by Grissom's proposal to Sara. The way he said it was very much like him. Sara's answer was not what I expected, considering how strange and troubled she is.

Both cases were very good. The first one was very sad, and it was nice to see Warrick and Nick working together again. Somehow I get the feeling that Warrick seems a little lost, like out of place. I like how Catherine "flirts" with Grissom. I always thought they were going to end up together. I love Greg's passion. He's always to eager to help, to learn, I'm glad he became a CSI. His promotion was very normal, making the mistakes he needed to and helping in the field in order to get experience. So he's writing a book? Let him dream, that makes life more fun. Who knows. I hope we can see it published.

I don't like Ronnie. She lacks passion and personality. She doesn't fit in the team.

Second case, very interesting too, with Greg helping Sara after inviting himself to be part of the case. For some reason I like Greg being paired up with Sara. He sure makes her smile a lot. And that's what she needs.
  • PROPOSAL!!! A guy ends up dead in a tree and the team assume he's an aspiring transsexual, but he's not. Sara, Ronnie and Greg do the remains of a man on the original site of the Rampart.

    "Perfect"
If it hadn't been for the proposal, I would have given this episode 9.3. I added 0.7 because of the proposal. I know, I'm biased. Back to the actual episode:

Night shift does the case of "the one with the chesticles, manboobs", and find out he was drinking contaminated water. His mother killed him because she didn't want a "freak" for a son. But the D.A. won't prosecute because "she's a widow with breast cancer who lost her only son".

Sara and Ronnie (Greg pitches in) investigate a body (what was left of it, anyways)at the Rampart site, and Greg says he's writing a book on the history of Vegas. Lily (Flynn, of course) tells him to ask her if he needs to know anything, because she was there. Then Greg asks her out to dinner, and they walk out arm-in-arm. HEE.

Good, but not exceptional cases. This would be average, if it wasn't for the proposal.
  • Proposal Highlight of the episode

When Grissom proposed to Sara was great, we all knew it would eventually happen, at least not until their relationship was revealed to everyone. It's hard enough to keep a relationship a secret, but to keep an engagement a secret no can do. To me there was a predicting future from this episode, seriously Jorja revealed in an interview that she agreed to due to a few episodes that the beginning of season 8, because her character would come back at some point in the future, no one except The producers, writers, and Jorja know when. Jorja was leaving CSI, so why have Grissom and Sara get engaged, if it wasn't to point out to the GSR fans to keep staying tuned even though sara was leaving, if in fact she was gonna come back at some point. Personally, I mean we all know that jorja will come back as a guest star, but the engagement gave an underlying story as to why she would come back. Seriously think about, the two are engaged, and there was no indictation in Goodbye and Goodluck, that she was breaking off the engagement, it just pretty much meant that she had to leave to figure out some personal demons out. Hence in the next episode after Sara leaves Grissom tells Catherine that Sara is with her MOTHER in California. This may be farfetched, but I think Sara will come back to fulfill her promise to Grissom, and reveal that they will be parents, or if Sara doesnt come back until Season 9 sometime, reveal that they are parents.
  • a pivital episode for any GSR shipper

this was a really interesting episode, dealing with contamination of the local water supply and its effects on the living things around it. Think 'The Simpsons' and the 3 eyed fish in the river next to the power plant and that's the sort of direction this episode went in, except instead of a 3 eyed fish we had a man with breasts because the water was contaminated with female contraceptive pills.

Of course the highlight for me, as well as for many others, was the proposal scene. Many of us suspected that if Grissom were to ever propose to Sara, bugs would be a part of it somehow - and we were right! The look on Sara's face when Grissom casually says "ya know, maybe we should get married" mirrors her reaction in the "since when have you been interested in beauty?", "since I met you" scene. A very 'did I hear you right?' look on her face and she pauses, looking slightly confused, obviously trying to work out if she had in fact heard him correctly and waits for him to prompt "so what do ya think.. about.. ya know..." before it really sinks in that yes, he DID ask her what she thought he'd asked her, and no, this wasn't going to be one of those 'blow me out of the water and then change the subject' comments. It takes her all of half a second to give him his reply :)
  • The Proposal

This was a great episode! The cases were interesting. It was nice to see Greg and Sara work together again, even if Greg was "off the clock". There was also so many great scenes in this episode including: The Nick and Warrick scene were Warrick tells Nick "the guy is as sharp as a marble but his alibi checks out" and Nick says "really what was the girl's name?" and Warrick says "Tucson" and Nick responds "oh yes, Tucson the capital of Texas". I found that to be hysterical. Then when Greg takes Catherine's mom out to dinner, so cute! But my favorite scene was of course the proposal, this scene wasn't romantic but it fit Grissom and Sara, and all GSR fans almost got that long awaited kiss, almost! Overall a great episode, second best this season only to Dead Doll.
  • The episode was ok, not too much happened besides the obvious proposal.

What really got people going with this episode was of course the big-long-awaited-smile-inducing-pleasing proposal scene. And of course Sara said yes!

The case with the unfortunate boy was not that exciting for me. I felt very very very sorry for him. That would be so horrible to haev to be put through that. I agree with Catherine with the part about if it was her kid she would put on the breaks. I loved Catherine's line to Grissom "Do I know how to turn you on or what?" That was pretty funny!

The part of the episode I liked was the case with Sara and Greg. I thought Greg was funny especially at the end when he and Lily go out on the date. That cracked me up. I also thought their case was very interesting.
  • Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle rocks. A avarage episode with nice scenes!

This is my first review. I am a brazilian guy who loves CSI.

This episode was a avarage one. There were scenes very good, like when Grissom asks Sara for Mariage. Was amazing. They are a very nice couple and should be together.

The new character, Sara's partner seems to be nice and funny.

This season started very well, when they saved Sara at the desert, almoust dead. I really, really, really loved this episode. Was freaking awsome. I bet the nexts ones will be totally amazing. Let's hope for some new amazing episodes. That's all folks. I hope you've liked my review.

WOW!!!! i wasnt expecting that in the proposal scene, but it was perect! though not really sold on the idea that sara is perfect and not having trouble with anything at the moment. i guess we will find more about that soon though. it just seems that for a person who just had a near death experience she is just to ok with it. and they way they portray sara just doesnt seem to much like the sara we have seen in the pst seasons. the girl with the sly comments and wit~ hopefully she will return to that before she leaves.

The reason i really liked this episode was the cases were great! it reminded me of some of the older episodes. the crimes were number one but we still got a bit of the characters and personality and reactions! not like the first 3 episodes, which were mostly drama. and the cases wernt that great. i didnt really like how they did the sara thing... should have finished it last season. back to the characters in this episode... catherine wsa great, but i think she gave up the case a bit to easily. hopefully the season stays like this episode!!!

Again on the proposal scene... the "kiss" was great! hopefully we will get more!

It was the episode that all GSR fans had been waiting eight long years for!!! I have to log it as one of my favourite CSI episodes from any season. The investigation was an absolute classic - a throw back to seasons one and two that certainly caused some head scratching as to who, what, how, why and when.

High praise to all actors and actresses for this episode, it was certainly worth the wait and all the hype.

Not to take anything away from any other character or the investigation but I certainly made a point of watching it to see the proposal. It had been a long time coming and it was done sublimely. Not to mushy - because that wouldn't have been in keeping with Grissom and Sara. It was sweet in the geeky way we've come to recognise and carry with affection.

A fantastic episode that deserves high praise to all of the writers, producers, actors and the director.
  • GRISSOM'S PROPOSAL "WHY DON'T WE GET JUST MARRIED", CLASSIC....

I loved this last episode. And the last three were also excellent. I finally got to see all of them. I still love to watch the re-runs. I just hope they don't kill off Sara's character...It took Grissom all these years to finally open up to someone, I'd hate to see it get taken away from him. I am still trying to catch up on on the last episodes of season seven but to me, season eight so far is by far the best yet. I am hoping that there will be a wedding soon. Maybe a season finale. AWESOME.
  • Are their wedding bells in the future?

So Grissom asked Sara to marry him and she said yes. I loved when they tried to kiss with the bee masks on. I hope because of this they may be able to work together again (since they aren't dating really), or maybe keeping like they have been with the daytime and nighttime groups mingling once in a while. It's neat to learn about Las Vegas history too. The only thing I didn't like was the poor mother. Having breast cancer, losing your son, and killing an innocent man. That would be very hard to deal with. While the real guilty parties almost walk away.
  • Really something else episode!

We see a man that really is a woman. AKA a cross-dresser being killed. As there are references to his sexual orientation as the cops are really in a bind to know what kind of "sex" this person was. In the meantime, this Ronnie is really getting annoying. And that IMHO, she is a Sara wannabe as nobody can do Sara at all. Grissom tries to propose marriage to Sara. As he really loves her and doesn't want her to leave him. After all she has been through. Really good to see emotion in the usually emotionless Grissom. But you know, the answer. As I will miss Sara a lot. As well all CSI fans!
  • The episode was good but I can't stop thinking that Sara will not be with us for a long time…

The episode was good but I can't stop thinking that Sara will not be with us for a long time … Jorja decided to leave the show and this is going to change the show for me. It is sad to see Jorja go! The saddest thing though is that the replacement character is horrible!!! This Ronnie girl is disgusting! I'd prefer another man or a little bit older woman for a replacement. The new girl is a snot; she is obnoxious and a terrible actress! What on earth are they going to do with the characters now? CSI is not a show based on character interaction and inside storylines, but now they made it personal and we have marriage proposals and such … while the creators KNEW that Jorja wants to go … oh the drama!!!! Pfff I am annoyed. I really like Jorja's character :( :( :(
  • Grissom asks Sara to marry him.

I really liked this episode of CSI the storylines lines in it had you guessing who was the murderer. I thought that it was sad that the guy with the boobs felt like sucide was his only option. When they first brought in that character i thought that it was a boy who was trying to grow boobs for his mother but i was totally wrong about that. I also liked that they has Kathrines mom to help solve one of the cases. I was really happy that Sara said yes to Grissom when he proposed to her i seen that coming for a while but i wonder what will happen in the next few episodes.

This wasn't my favorite episode, but it wasn't bad. A young boy is found dead, but there is something weird about him. They notice he has breasts, which is a little weird. They discover it has something to do with the water. Some bones are found from way back and they find out it was a photographer who had important photos in his hand, but he was killed. Grissom asks Sara if she wants to get married and she says yes, but then she started to act weird. It was a good episode. I can't wait for the next episode because I love Without a Trace!
  • contaminated water and indians....

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
There are two main cases in this episode. One is the case of a young boy, which had boobs, that was found hung. It turned out that he was depressed and killed himself because the water was contaminated and he became feminine because of it. The other case was Sara investigating a random body found on a construction site that turned out to be an indian reporter that found out a little too much. Overall, it wasn't a good episode in my opinion. The cases weren't that interesting. Grissom asked Sarah to marry him and she said yes so...I guess they're getting married. It seems out of the blue. I know they like each other, but it's never seemed that serious. Oh well, CSI, in my opinion, has been going downhill. I hope it picks up...

Well I hate to title my review the same as most i'm not a shipper but I have to admit the events of this one fit the very special designation. In this episode a few things happened number on the case of the young man with boobs wasn't him being a transsexual which usually what you see is what you get despite CSI's great writing. The second touch was a step back into Sam's legacy and seeing Catherine and her mother as the center piece's of the story. This lead to Greg being goofy as usual in his revelation that he's writing a book about Las Vegas and it's mob day. Finally we had the big one Sara and Grissom official together. A perfect ending to the on screen ship since Sara has already said she would leave so Grissom can stay. This gives us the prefect resolution to years of shipping and Jorja Fox leaving the show good job all around on this episode.

Yes, must say more. Grissom and Sara are Engaged, Yay! I am ecstatic the bee/proposal scene was very nicely acted and written. Thanks to David Rambo who wrote the scene and Jorja and Billy who played it out just right. Okay, I'll move on to the rest of the episode. I think this episode is great. I enjoyed the cases. Sara actually got a decent case this time. It is great Greg helped her out on it. It's almost like it used to be except they are still on separate shifts. The guy who ended up killing himself, it was sad. Oh and I am in love with the bee/proposal scene it rocks. That's it for now.

For us GSR fans the moment finally arrived... almost. It was absolutely perfect how Grissom asked Sara to marry him. It was a great Grissom moment and unique in all it's glory. The bee nets kiss was perfect!! Oddly enough the hotel case in this episode resembles the CSI PC game. I guess that's proof they do work on the games? Anyway I wished there was more uncovered in the roll of film, how cool to find something like that. The other case about the boy was very sad, all the way through to the ending with the mother. This was a memorable moment in CSI history, and another great episode.
