I loved this episode! My favorit case was Nick and sara's. These kids were shooting off their dads guns and tripped over something and they thought they found an alein and it was at are 51 i think. I loved how his wrist watch said ET on the back of it and how david was freaking out because the body was making noise and sara walked up behind him and told him that it was his hearing aid. I think this episode was just all around funny. I like how they showed like a bunch of different chapels that people get hitched.
Greg finally gets to go out into the field with Grissom, just a shame he failed the test.
I din't really like Greg's replacement in the lab Chandra (who I recognised from 24). I love her in 24 but her role as Chandra was different she was a little mean.
Warrick's & Catherine's cases weren't that interesting.
Now Sara & Nicks case...the dead guy in the alien suit burried in the desert, was the best out of the 4 & the funniest. The funny part was in the morgue when David heard the noise comming from the corpse & probably thought that the "alien" was trying to communicate (that's what I thought anyway), and it turns out the dead guy had a hearing aid.
Sara mentioning her childhood problems at the beginning...nice touch. It's about time we found out more about her & ner family.
They couldn't have started the season in a better way (will they could have but this was still a good start). Everyone had an interesting case and for once some continuity is present both for Greg and Sara. It was great at the beginning when Greg introduces Chandra and the replacement for him in the lab, thereby proving that he is going out in the field. Grissom asking for a pint of her blood was funny, I'm surprised he doesn't scare off everyone who comes to work at the lab. I actually felt sorry for the new lab tech, she had a lot to deal with and I was not shocked when she quit. Nick and Warrick having the bet on her was funny too. You could tell that Sara still has some issues to deal with but they can always wait, the season still started well.
I like the way this episode came together. The scene with the dead woman hacked up in the bed was a little creepy, and it was even creepier how she died. I hope I never slip in fall in my bathroom. Greg is in his final test of his proficiency test and fails horribly when he uses the bathroom at a crime scene...Duh Greg!!! Luckily Grissom give him another chance to redeem himself. I like how Warrick put himself in the victim's shoes in order to solve the crime. At the end, the area 51 guy's murder was just an accident.
I love this episode for so many reasons. The creepy alien storyline, French stwart doing drama and the twist ending. I was never a big Third Rock fan, but French Stewart makes me laugh, and in this CSI episode, he does a very good turn as an Elvis minister doubling as an alien minister. In addition to that, there's a lot of "is it an alien in the morgue" sort of stuff that is both scary, but yet, turns out to be explained by the end of the episode. This one definitely ranks up there as one of the most popular case files.
In this episode we had the chance to see Greg on the field. Unfortunately he failed his first exam. I felt sorry for him but at least he’ll have a second chance. He made a fatal mistake. He peed where he shouldn’t have peed. I didn’t like to see Hodges making fun of him but that’s just the way Hodges is.
I liked to see the new lab Technician saying in the end that Greg was the person everybody wanted.
Sara was back after her problems at the end of season 4 and she seemed ok. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. They also made sure that they would spice up our curiosity about her family. When she was talking to the mirror she said something about her family. I’m sure they will approach the subject again.
Catherine found out that her boyfriend wasn’t as faithful as she thought he was. I felt sorry for her even though I thought she was being a bit to “self-important” when she was talking to Grissom about her office. Come on, some people don’t even have offices. I also think that she complains a lot. I know that her life hasn’t been easy but enough is enough.
Nick and Warrick were amazing as always.
About the cases: Warrick’s case: the dead guy in the bathtub. I liked the special participation of Tony Amendola. I’m used to see him In Stargate SG-1 so for me it was “refreshing” to see him play a completely different part. I liked the resolution of the case. The killer was kinda dumb. He could have a least moved house or something.
Nick and Sara’s case: the dead “alien” in the desert. I felt sorry for the killer. He didn’t mean to kill him. And I felt sorry for the dead guy. Being buried alive doesn’t look like a good way to go. I must mention one more thing in this case. When David was in the morgue with the “alien” he got sacred by his hearing device. I thought that that was a funny moment.
Catherine’s case: the dead girl in the hotel room. I must say that this wasn’t my favorite case. I wasn’t expecting the ending. I thought that it was the boyfriend’s fault. I was obviously wrong.
Grissom and Greg’s case: A dead guy in the middle of a club. I liked this case. I found it interesting to see Greg doing field work. Even though He messed up. I also liked the way that they found out about the other body. Nice work with the picture. I wasn’t expecting for the waitress to be the guilty one.
I would also like to mention the new way of filming. The way they filmed the suspect reactions while being interrogate was terrific.
I loved this episode because (1) CSI is the best T.V. series ever! (2) More unusual cases to solve. (3) I felt so bad for Catherine when she walked in on her boyfriend with another woman. And what excuse is "What do you expect?"!? She was so strong though, but I still felt like crying. Why can't the writers give Catherine a boyfriend who doesn't cheat on her? 'Cause it's getting a little annoying...
The fondness between Nick and Sara really comes through in this episode...and for some reason, Grissom feels the need to always stick Cath with the cases dealing with strippers...guess he doesn't buy all that "personal experience bias" crap...Greg really gets tossed around by his colleagues--including Hodges...and Greg's prospective replacement, Chandra, seems less than promising. Though, I'm still not sure I'm too keen on the idea of Greg becoming a CSI. It's still not exactly clear WHY he would take a pay cut for a more gruesome job. Plus, he was much more humorous in the lab...now, he's just plain boring.
What a way to start season 5 with 4 cases running together, don't get me wrong there all intresting cases but Warrick case, there was one question that he didn't answer, i will discuss this later on. new DNA women, reconise her from 24 S2 as Michelle, it such a shame she quit i really fancy her. i can't beleve writer wrote her out after the first epsoide, what was the point ?, i really hope she comes back.
The first case night club shooting, Warrick and greg, really like the fact this was Greg Profiency Test which he failed because he used night-club toilets, it's funny how little thing add up. it's nice to see a rookie mistake, none pervious 4 season did we know how these people get qualified to CSI, now we know there have 3 of these to do become a CSI.
The second case hotel death of prostitue and guy was unconscience, this was Catrine cases. well we just knew either the guy will be guilty or not, in this case he wasn't guilty, still techincally the bouncer causes the accident, i'm sorry but it's his urine that made her slip hit her head against sharp object. i almost felt sorry for Catrine at the end when she walk-in on her boyfriend screwing someone else. What made that scene really stand out that she didn't batter an eye-lid she just walk out. i hope she can get over it, what kind of excuse i'm a night club owner.
The thrid case man died in barthtub warrick case and the one i have a problem with. ok we just knew once that guy won $60,000 we didn't commit suicide but the fact that teenage boy killed bother me, the first question would how did he know where he stayed?, he followed him but that doesn't answer my second question how did he get in?, think about it the guy was having a bath so front door was locked so how did guy get in, no-one stupid enough to leave there front door open. if that not strange enough after stealing 60,000 why did teenager stay at his apartment, why didn't he just leave, surely he was bound to get caught.
The last case, body found in desert, i don't beleve in aliens so i knew it was costume but did anyone spot cliche, that guy starred in 3 rock from the sun, the thought it's was funny him playing that chacter, what an awful accent he had.
