  • Well-written and a great show!

    9.1
Again this show is a great show as one murder

Is suspected as an insurance and money fraud scam to

Get thousands and thousands of cash to be set for life

On people's deaths. While also investigating another death as well.

Like I said, the show is getting better and have better characters than Las Vegas IMO!

    • Teresa: Had I known that it was all a test, that he never meant the things he said, I would never have snapped…but I'm glad he's dead.
Horatio: After six hours of torture I'll bet he is too.

    • Speed: Why anyone needs to prove that evil exists is beyond me.

    • Horatio: Somebody wanted to make sure he saw something.
Alexx: Or based on the damage to his retina ...
      Horatio: ... saw nothing.

    • (Horatio notices some strange marks on the victim's body)
      Horatio: Those needle marks?
Alexx: Puncture wounds. You said you were thinking cult?
Horatio: Maybe like a life-size Voodoo Doll.

    • (Speedle is still working on the shredded pieces of paper. H walks into the lab.)
Horatio: Hey, go home. Get some rest.
Speedle: I can't. (takes a deep breath) At this point I'm addicted.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Plot: The college professor was based on a real high school teacher in Palo Alto, California who, in 1967, had a powerful hold over his students when he taught them about Nazis. The incident inspired a 1981 TV Movie called The Wave.

    • Title: A Horrible Mind
The title of this episode is a reference to the 2001 Russell Crowe film A Beautiful Mind, which was about a college professor.
