In this episode of CSI Miami the following happens. With an explosion within a fashion clothing boutique, with only one victim, the team are called in to investigate. When the team investigate they learn that the bomb was actually the dress which the victim was wearing. When she finished zipping up the dress, it went off. When the store manager sees the dress, she says that they don't sell that dress, in his store.
The team learn that the victim was actually a shoplifter. She was shopping with a friend and so Eric goes to see her. He learns that she was also shoplifting. A fatal hit and run happens at Julia's house, but luckily it isn't Kyle. We learn that Julia is bi-polar. We soon learn from Julia that it was Kyle driving the car, which killed their neighbour. Kyle swears that he didn't do it. The team solve the case and we learn that it was Julia's financial advisor, who she hadn't paid in a year, who killed the neighbour. He was taking her car as payment. We learn that the victim was stealing clothes for a plastic surgeon. She was going to make false claims against him, so he called in a favour and had a bomb put in a dress, to kill her.moreless

  • Kyle and Julia really aren't that bad!

If you understood both Julia and to a lesser degree, Kyle, then you would have to know that. Julia has bi-polar and that you feel so sorry for her. But then again, you really hate it that she uses both her son and H. Shopping indeed could become dangerous to your health. Especially if you have a crime investigated by H & Company. I really miss Alexx a lot and thought she really talked to the dead. Like if they were alive really well. The new ME is ok. But needs to get some time getting used to I think. Liked it when she flirted with Ryan.moreless

This was what I will call a solid episode. The case of the exploding dress was interesting enough, but I felt like it was set against the backdrop of Julias meltdown. I am glad we got a little more insight to what is going on with Julia; she is bipolar. It explains alot about her past actions. It was kind of sad and sweet how far Kyle will go to protect her, but it also seems to be foreshadowing something. I wish Kyle would have stayed with Horatio, because he seems destined to end up back in jail if he stays with his Mother. Not much else went on during this ep. I was hoping to see some more flirting with Wolfe and the new M.E.moreless

  • In a literal case of "Shop 'til You Drop" (The original title of this episode) a young woman dies in a very peculiar way at a trendy clothing store. Elsewhere, Horatio finds that Julia is becoming unstable and may have killed her intrusive neighbor.moreless

There are positive things to say about this episode. One such thing is that is very well written. As farfetched as the stories may be, they did seem to come together in a somewhat plausible way and I liked that. One thing that I did not care for is Elizabeth Berkley's performance in this episode. I think her worst in the series to date. I kept being reminded of her in "Showgirls" when I saw her flipping out (The "ketchup" scene in "Showgirls" comes to mind). I hope Julia goes back on her meds in the next episode. I hope.moreless

  • Shop till you drop dead.

The writer's have managed to give new meaning to the term, shop till you drop. Horatio must determine the cause of an explosion in a high end fashion boutique that killed a teenage shoplifter. Just when things couldn't get messier, Julia's bi-polar disorder leaves her behavior spirling out of control and Horatio comes to her emotional rescue. Leave it to the writer's to come up with a creative place to plant a bomb-in the lining of a dress. I found the two rich teenagers who shoplifted for thrills unempressive but Julia's recurring appearances in Horatio's life are anything but boring. Learning that she has bi-polar disorder better explain her past behavior as well as give me a reason to care about her. The one thing that frustrated me the most was Horatio's unwillingness to believe that Julia can do no wrong and everyone who has a legitamte complaint agaist her are out to take advantage of her. His blind faith is a good indication that he still cares about her and wants the best for her. Kyle's attitude towards Horatio is still getting on my nerves but the friction between father and son make their storyline believable and a pleasure to watch.moreless
