  • Ryan being fired, why continue watching?

Why do shows nowadays turn good characters bad or kill them off to get rid of them. Ryan may have made mistakes but he was always there for all. I enjoyed his character and what seemed like his growing friendship with Calleigh, great pair, now it's Delko and Calleigh no way Yuck As for story lines do they think that if you change the place and names we are not going to notice the repeating. That's it they have lost me I only stayed with there superfical story lines because of Calleigh and Ryan.

Is this show CSI Miami or the Horatio Show? Nearly every episode revolves around him, At least I won't be there to see when he once more saves everyone.moreless

After this season got off to a very disappointing start, it's great to see CSI: Miami return to being the great show it once was. "Burned" is another great episode to come out of the latter half of the season. A great story with a lot of twists and turns that just kept getting better. There was certainly a lot happeing in this episode but it all worked well and wasn't too much for the viewer to follow. Ryan getting fired was a conclusion nobody could have seen coming. It's nice to have CSI: Miami back.moreless
  • Ryan fired! Why? He was the best! Delko and Calliegh? Never. Yeilana back? What else could happen? Oh ya, a couple setting there house on fire!

Ok lets start off with the plot. An ex-lover taking revenge on her old boyfriend. You would think that maybe you could pull a prank or a least do something to him, but no. Instead she and her couple set their own house on fire! It was a good plot though.. i would have never guessed it. Yeilana coming back? will she be a permanint once again? Will her and Horatio have a love connection in the future? Only time will tell. Also Delko and Calliegh are having a little flirt once and a while. I don't think it will work out; one of them is going to get hurt. Ok i saved the best for last:Ryan. Once again, why? Sure he has made a few mistakes, but cut him some slack. I mean he got shot with a nail gun, he has been acused of being the mole and more. I just don't understand why Ryan wouldn't tell Horatio the truth. I was practically sreaming for him to spit it out! But he didn't, and that cost him his job which he so dearly loves. I mean he can sometimes be a jerk or rude, but that is ryan, and I am sure that some people would agree with me that he is adorable. But i have a feeling that we will be seeing more of him in the newer episodes, but not as a CSI....We will just have to wait until the new episode coming up.moreless
  • Why?

Why did Ryan get fired. I really do not understand. It's just silly and wrong, i wonder how they will rehire him. They can't just fire him like that without no more explanation. It really makes me wonder. Just like the time in CSI NY where they fired Claudia because she tried to frame a rapist by messing with the evidence. I know that it's wrong but still I feel so for them. They just tried to make the world a better place for all of us. The explosion was awesome too, the way the man got knocked back. Enjoyable in a weird way.moreless
  • Fast paced with a twist at the end...

I agree with all magdalena82 says about Ryan's bad luck. I actually like him in the team and hope he gets his job back. What I didn't get about this was that Horatio didn't go out of his way to find out what Ryan's problem was and to help him keep his job - when you consider how he has stuck his neck out for other team members in the past, it was out of character for H to let him go so easily.
I wouldn't like a relationship to develop between Eric and Calleigh - they've been too much like brother and sister in the past for that to change now.
And Yelena returns - in an ideal world she and Horatio will finally get together after Eric goes to H and tells him he should move on like Marisol would have wanted and H maybe opens up to him a bit about his feelings, and his past...then the writers could draw a line under all the angst and the team could get back to crime busting! In reality though, we are probably in for more "will they, won't they?" in future episodes.moreless

    • (After Valera gives her the DNA results) Natalia: (on the phone) Frank? You got a new car yet? 'Cause I've got someone I would love for you to pick up.

    • Horatio: I appreciate your help on this. Yelina: It's my job. Horatio: Speaking of which, Yelina, P.I. work can be very dangerous. Yelina: Ray was killed while breaking the law. I was denied his pension. I have to work. Horatio: Yelina... Yelina: I was a cop. I can take care of myself. Horatio: I'm concerned about people like Anthony Bryant. Yelina: I understand, really. But I have Ray Junior to think about. Horatio: My point exactly. Yelina: Always looking out for me, huh? Horatio: And I always will.

    • (Calleigh gets a piece of glass stuck in her finger at the crime scene.) Calleigh: Ow! Damn it. Eric: What happened? Calleigh: It's a piece of glass. Eric: Hang on a second, let me see. Ooh. Calleigh: That'll teach me to leap before I look. Eric: Got it. Calleigh: Eric… (he smiles)

    • Ryan: Hey Frank, I got your message. What's the emergency? Frank: I got a uh..suspect that's giving me the silent treatment. Ryan: Oh yeah? You need my uh..superior interrogation skills to work him over? Frank: Keep dreaming, bud. He asked for you.

    • Horatio: Anthony, on the day that someone tries to kill your ex-girlfriend, you hire a private investigator to follow you around. Why is that? Anthony Bryant: Let's just say that uh, when you get to know someone, you gotta go with your hunches. Horatio: In addition, we have burglary, stalking and arson. Anthony: They're all arrests. No convictions. Horatio: I think that's going to change. Anthony: Look, the burglary came a week after Claire and I broke up, when I went back to her place to go get my stuff. I even had a key. Horatio: What about the stalking? Anthony: She wouldn't call me back when I tried to tell her our dog died. I mean..look, this is all Claire making something out of nothing. Horatio: And the arson? Anthony: You mean the one last year? We were still together then. We decided to burn stuff our exes gave us. It was some stupid bonding thing. I guess a neighbor freaked and called the cops. Horatio: You have an excuse for everything, Anthony. Anthony: And an airtight alibi. Horatio: Yes, well that's going to change too.

    • Natalia: So, um.... so Calleigh seems to be taking an interest in you, since you got back. Eric: Yeah, she's been great. Really helpful. Everyone has. Natalia: Yeah. Not really what I meant though. Eric: What?! Natalia: I... oh well, never mind. Eric: What, you think me and Calleigh? Natalia: I saw her kiss you! Eric: Only on the cheek. Natalia: I'm just... y'know, saying.

    • Ryan: I'm sorry Lipton, but you sink or swim around here on the evidence. You're on your own, okay? Michael: Hey, I don't need that heat. You forgetting Wolfe, you owe me ten grand! Ryan: Let me tell you something; that has nothing to do with this. Michael: I didn't put those cards in your hand, kid. You wanted to play poker with the big boys. Ryan: I don't have that kind of money. Michael: You make this go away, your debt goes with it. Ryan: We're done having this conversation.

    • Natalia: There's something in his teeth? What is that? Alexx: Now honey, I can't do all your work for you. (hands her the evidence bag) Natalia: Thank you.

    • (The water heater from the burned house lands on Frank's car.) Frank: I just bought that car. Horatio: You alright? Frank: Yeah. First it's a damn land mine, now it's a flying water heater. What next? Horatio: Next, we catch a killer.

    • Ryan: What am I suppose to do, now? Stetler: Get out of the building.

    • (Ryan steps off the elevator.) Stetler: I can't let you on this floor. Ryan: What? Stetler: Well, you're fired.

    • Frank: I gotta nickels' worth of advice for you, pal. When a woman says, "get lost," get lost. Find another one, end of story.

    • Eric: Your accident might have just turned into our biggest lead.

    • Eric: (laughing at Frank) Ah, so's the water heater come standard, or is that custom?
