While filled with beautiful scenery and people as always, the episode suffered from a story driver for the A-plot that made zero sense. That a mildly attractive picture of a random high school girl in a one-piece swimsuit would generate rabid fans and dozens of stalkers following her every move and cataloging them on a website defied all logic. That these mostly teens were then somehow able to uncover sealed grand jury information about Horatio almost immediately (something the mob couldn't do in five years) was even more insulting to the audience's intelligence. Add to that yet another ridiculous piece of analyzing equipment (basically a rip-off from "Minority Report") in a machine that allows the tech to 'throw' images onto a wall-mounted screen, and you hit the 'nonsense trifecta' for the episode.
Saving the episode from being a total waste was the handling of the 'Horatio in danger' B-plot. With Horatio both setting a clever trap and showing his trademark hope that for once his enemy might wise-up and not commit a crime, we were given a smart secondary story that saw Horatio never panic and stay true to his character.
The show is capable of so much better than this, and hopefully this will be the season's only stinker of an episode.moreless
