  • Woman gets kidnapped, she calls the wrong number yada yada yada? Horatio will fix this, everyone knows that!

I hate him, I hate him, I hate him! I could go on for two thousand pages. Him is Ryan. Why did he have to ask Natalia out? He is ruining it for me! Not only the fact that Natalia and Eric were such a cute couple, also that here on tv.com everyone says that Calleigh and Ryan have some kind of connection?! Whatever you know! Why is he doing this to me? Why, why?

I am totally depressed. By the way, he looked like a college boy in those clothes. Not his kind of style. What’s wrong with him? He takes Natalia to Mexican wrestling?? Jeez! Oh yeah, about the story. It wasn’t very interesting. Usually I rate CSI Miami episodes very high just for the story and I give a few “bonus points” for the emotional stuff but this story was actually weak and I didn’t see Calleigh enough. I am pissed. I did love the moments between Horatio ad Marisol, they are so cute. Especially the final scene between them, it was beautiful. When Ryan said he forgot his money and asked Eric for some I was just rolling over the ground, laughing. My dad was watching 5 minutes (he never watches CSIM) and he was smiling. When I explained him the situation he was totally laughing! That moment and Horatio/Marisol were kinda the peak of the episode. It’s sad, I know. But I will keep watching CSI Miami and I will always be a CaRWash-fan.moreless

In my opinion, this was David Caruso(Lieutenant Horatio Caine)\'s best performance this season. \"Urban Hellraisers\" (Episode #81) a close second. He showed a different side- a more humanitarian side- in \"Dead Air.\" I think the paternal aspects of his personal life are bleeding thru his character, making him a more \"real\" character. Very visceral. I have heard he is a method actor, and I now believe it.

Little known fact about this episode: In scene 7, Hannah Baker makes an uncredited appearance. If you listen closely, you can hear Horatio say, \"Hannah, take this to the lab.\" !!!moreless
  • Delko?!?

    6.5
    I know, I said I wouldn't watch it anymore and I did.

Have I missed the episode where Delko was officially named "Center-of-the-Universe-Most-Eligible-Bachelor-also-God's-Assistant"?

What was that smirk when Ryan said he felt something for Natalia? And then made her feel guilty about it while he's seeing other people?

He also stepped in a crime scene path and picked up evidence on a coffee table without documenting it (pictures) first.

The actual story-line was not bad at all, though.

Anyone else feels that Horatio and Delko's sister's relationship is nothing short of creepy?moreless
  • Episode where you don\\\'t know when the twist and turns will happen.

    8.6
In general, I really enjoyed this episode. The only thing that I questions, perhaps I missed it, but we saw twice that Horatio was on the phone with the killer when the gun shot rang. However, when we saw that conclusion of what happened, the gun went off while the two men were fighting. That was the only part, perhaps I missed something, but other than that, I very much enjoyed this episode. Many twists and turns.moreless
  • A woman at an outdoor cafe receives a phone call on her cell. The caller is a woman who claims to have been kidnapped and is begging for help. The woman at the cafe brings the phone to Horatio who is nearby and the search begins.moreless

    9.2
I enjoyed this episode from start to finish. The writing is very good and that makes this episode work pretty much at all levels. The show's first rate cast is another reason why the episode is one of the best of the season in my opinion. The twists and turns are very believeable and keep the viewer hooked throughout. If you haven't seen this episode, I highly recommend you do.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Chelsea's phone is a brown Nokia 7370.

    • The cellular phone where the distress call was received from the kidnapped woman did not have a SIM card inserted, therefore it could not receive calls (only make emergency calls). Even if the phone was fully operational the phone screen shows that the ringer was turned off (crossed musical note) so it could not have rung.

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Marisol: As long as you're with me, I know I'm going to be fine.
      Horatio: And you will be.

    • Ryan: You and Natalia. Is everything good now?
      Eric: What's up, Wolfe?
Ryan: I went to a party at her house the other night, you weren't there, I was the last one to leave, so, uh, I was wondering.
      Eric: Wondering what?
Ryan: Uh...you and Natalia...you guys...still doing your thing?
Eric: No. No, we backed off.
      Ryan: Really.
      Eric: Yeah, really.
Ryan: Because we were talking, and um, I got the feeling that she was interested...
      Eric: Yeah, interested in what?
      Ryan: Me.
Eric: (laughing) She's interested in you?
Ryan: Yeah, it's just a vibe she was throwing me.
      Eric: Vibe, huh?
Ryan: Yeah! And before I did anything, before it went any further, I just wanted to clear it with you.
Eric: You wanted to clear it with me?
Ryan: Yeah, I wanted to...I wanted to get the green light.
Eric: You get to go, man. Cleared for landing.

    • Eric: Heard you had a party.
Natalia: Oh it wasn't really a "party" party. I just had some people over.
      Eric: My phone didn't ring.
Natalia: Because I thought you were working!
      Eric: I would've known if you'd called.
Natalia: You know, I thought we both decided that we were moving too fast. So I guess I was putting up some boundaries.
      Eric: Mission accomplished.

    • Ryan: Um...what do you think about Mexican wrestling?
Natalia: Is that a trick question?
Ryan: No, my friend got two tickets at the Miami Olympic Arena. It's nothing I'm really into but it's hilarious, and they wear masks and I thought you and I could go and we could get a laugh out of it together, so what do you say?
Natalia: Well um, wait a minute, are you (approaching him and dropping her voice) are you asking me out?
Ryan: Yeah, yeah, I guess I am.
Natalia: Well yeah, because uh, well, you know I'm seeing someone, right?
Ryan: No. I heard that was over.
      Natalia: From who?
Ryan: The uh, the person you're seeing.
      Natalia: Really?
Ryan: Yeah, he gave me the go ahead, in fact.
Natalia: The go..I mean, he actually said the go ahead?! He said that?!
Ryan: Um, I think what he said was that you were "cleared for landing."
Natalia: Wow! Wow, so I'm like locker room talk, then.
Ryan: No, no, no. We were just sitting there, comparing notes.
      Natalia: Comparing notes.
Ryan: Uhhhh, you know what? Forget I asked, I'm sorry.
Natalia: No, actually if you want to go to a boxing match, that's good, I'm good.
      Ryan: Really?
      Natalia: Uh huh.
Ryan: Great, it's Mexican wrestling, and I thought we'd go out to dinner first.
      Natalia: I'm in!
      Ryan: Great! (leaves)
Natalia: Yeah. Great. (roughly opens lab door)

    • Eric: I heard Wolfe asked you out.
Natalia: I heard you gave him the go ahead.
Eric: The way I understood it was the other way around.
      Natalia: Right.
Eric: So, what are you guys going to do, dring Midori cocktails, watch movies on the couch?
Natalia: No, as a matter of fact, we are gonna go out in public, because Ryan actually made plans.
Eric: Well, have fun at the ballet.
Natalia: Whoa whoa wait a minute! You pimped me out to your friend, and it's my fault?
      Eric: Pimped you out?
Natalia: Yeah, I'm "cleared for landing?"
      Eric: It wasn't like that.
Natalia: But you said it, right? Okay, here is what I know. You and I actually had a chance, and you blew it.

    • Frank: Give it up, or you buy the whole enchilada!

    • (Marisol wants to stop her chemotherapy treatment since the side effects may make her unable to conceive a child )
Marisol: I just don't want to take that chance.
Horatio: I understand that, but... If we lose you then nothing can happen.

    • Tripp: Scare her?! We call that felony stupid.

    • Delko: (referring to the broken glass door) It doesn't take rocket science to figure out the point of entry.

    • (Talking to patrol officer about kidnapping)
      Horatio: She's dead or dying.

  • NOTES (3)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Delko calls Kelly Olive Oyl, referring to the wife of Popeye, who always spoke through teeth clenched around a pipe, because her boyfriend's jaw was wired shut and he would not have been able to speak clearly.
