  • A man walking down the street covered in blood is not something I see every day.

In this episode of CSI Miami, the following happens. When a man is seen walking down a busy road with blood all over himself, the police are called and soon the CSI's are called in. When asked questions the young man says that he can't remember anything except for murdering someone. He has no idea what his own name is. When test are run on his clothes, we learn that the blood was from 2 women and one man. Soon the team track down a family who have gone missing and they soon find their house but it is empty. They then find out where the young man came from, and in doing so they find the dead family. The team soon ID the young man, and learn that when he was a little boy he found his father after he had been murdered. Calliegh and Eric have a talk and she tells him that she needs him to her what he wants. The evidence son leads the team believe that Doug, the young man, was forced into killing the family, by a man holding a gun at him. The evidence leads to Logan, the family's older son, was in on the murder of his family. But this turn out not to be true. We soon learn that a night club owner was the one who held the gun to Doug's head whilst he carried out the murder of the husband/father.moreless

Doug Benson is found wandering the streets covered in blood, specifically the blood of three people. Benson claims that he doesn't remember anything. The team works towards determining what happened to the Crawford family, if Doug Benson is behind and if he is why. Crawford being in the midst of several lawsuits brought on by clients he stole money from had many enemies, but was Benson one of them. Benson gives the impression of playing both sides of the fence. Then we have Logan Crawford more worried about his military ass than the man the killed his family. As it turns out neither of them had anything to do with it. A disgruntle client Sabin forced Benson at gunpoint to kill the Crawford family. Overall a pretty surprisingly well written episode.moreless

  • The lack of a B-case really slowed this episode down.

    4.0
    "Poor"
This episode would be my example of why I consider CSI: Miami as the weakest of the three CSI's. When the lab is confronted with just one case for an episode, it doesn't hold my attention. None of the cast member's really had a sense of urgency. You could say that is because the case did not require an urgent solution. This is true, but therein lies the problem. If a one-case episode is not going to have any urgency, a second case should probably be worked into the episode to keep interest up.

It bothered me that I never knew for sure if the suspect really had amnesia, or was just faking it. There were clues to support both sides. Maybe we'll see him again.moreless

    • Eric: Wolfe, you're deciding Doug did it; you're not proving it. Ryan: Yeah, that's, that's sort of what we do, Eric. We-we theorize. Eric: Yeah. Do me a favor, just process the evidence before you convict the guy, okay? Edit
    • Eric: About what happened earlier, I didn't mean to put you on the spot. Calleigh: Forget it. Eric: What if I don't want to. Calleigh: Eric, I am so confused. What do you want? You are gonna have to tell me because until I actually hear you say words, I don't even know if you believe it yourself. Do you know what I'm saying? (long pause...Calleigh leaves) Eric: Yeah, I do. Edit
    • Eric: Your friendship means a lot to me, Calleigh. Calleigh: I didn't know you thought that way. Eric: C'mon! How could you not know that, you read my file! Calleigh: That was an unrelated case. It is important to me to respect your privacy. Edit
