Eric is so cool when trying to reveal the snake's hide out place. So big snake!! Eric said "apprehending the suspect" and I cant believe someone will check that big snake in! Another reptilian teeth found!! And the snake's stomach got something interesting... And then another familiar name pop up in the screen... Cruz... i hate that man... but well... not bad ending for him... disowned by his dad... wonder whether he gonna do some revenge on H or not...

I cant believe there could be identity theft that could be that similar... has everything... name, address, other id... have to be very careful when throwing trash which containing id.

An operation uses large snakes to smuggle drugs in the country. A woman is found with slime all over her. A python or a Boa ate her. He squeezed the life outta her. The snake was under a bed, but when Delko got it he was dead. Probably of a drug in his system. The tooth was a lizard tooth. A quarantine exemption means that anything can get past authorities. Snake overdosed on pills. Same place as the Cruz brothers. Male overdoses of unknown substance. Clavo was the dealer. That's not Clavo's real father. The mother didn't deny it though.
  • Weird and wonderful - death by snake! Plus a case of identity theft, but who stole who?

Not a classic by any means, but watchable.

A body is found in a cabana, covered in strange gunk. Turns out she's been digested by a large snake, which is subsequently discovered dead. The CSI storywriters are nothing if not daring, coming up with a fairly outrageous plot here!

The snake is actually a mule - used to transport drugs, and all roads lead to... Clavo Cruz, one of Horatio's targets who he could never put away because of diplomatic immunity.

Meanwhile a bag theft that led to the discovery of the body leads further to a case of identity theft - but it's not clear who is the thief and who is the real person. It's cleverly done, because it takes a while for the truth to out, and both women are very believable in their stories.

The outcome of both stories is satisfactory but awkward. Clavo and the DNA stuff is especially forced, even though it is good to see such an out an out egomaniac get his comeuppance.

The identity theft ending is a little obvious and I don't think it's too sad. It seems that greed was as much of a motive as the frameup. What I don't get is the way they can show the nailfile in the eye. Time was when that kind of scene was only for cert. 18 movies! Now we get some very convincing gore at primetime. I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised it's allowed. There's even the scene with him being stabbed in the eye!

So it's a good episode, but no classic.
  • But akwardly executed. Vendetta rules this episode

This episode of CSI:Miami was interesting. Paternity and mistaken identity. The main story line of Clavo Cruse was done with little delicacy focusing on Horatio's drive to put him behind bars. It also showed the difference the truth can make when Clavos father revoked his immunity when he found he was not his son.

The other story line was slightly underplayed but highlighting the problems with todays legal system: Indentity Theft. In the end the poor woman who had her idenity taken became the criminal but was driven to it by the person who took her indenity. It seems unfair not to punish the thief or in some way punish her for ruining this womans life. It can be a fair conclusion that had the thief been punished the woman may not have killed her ex husband. The plight of the woman was understandable as well as what drove her to kill her husband. It was also a clever manipulation of the evidence that she planted to put blame on the thief. It seems unfair that the truth won out on this woman but also very true to life.

This episode showed a lot or Horatio's one man crusade against the wrong doers in this world but it also started to give Ryan a bit more screen time something he sorely needs. Eric seemed to be somewhat detached from the events in this episode though he was working with Horatio on this case but Horatios vendetta got focused on too much unlike in the of CSI's where the element of team work is much more prevelent.
