  • I'm doing this, Kyle... because I am your father.

Wooow, the boy finally finds out why Horatio is so interested in him and doesn't seem to be especially ruined by the news. The whole Prison Break-like atmosphere was gripping, wasn't it? Two episodes ego I was worried that the plot would disappoint me in the most important moment (of H. confessing the truth to Kyle) but now I see that the scene was neither too mushy nor dramatic (which would be just another kind of 'mushy'...).

Looks like Ryan changed sides. Why? For money. People always do that. But I strongly believe that he's gonna be back "with us". And Tripps got beaten up. Not that I especially like him, but he was just doing H. a favor, did not deserve it.
  • While being transported with a group of gang bangers to an area prison, Horatio's son Kyle manages to escape when the transport vehicle is ambushed. Elsewhere, with his wallet empty, Ryan is forced to work against the team as an expert defense witness.

"Inside Out" is definitely the best episode of the season so far. As another review of this episode poined out, that's not saying much, but I believe it's a promising sign and I hope things continue to get better especially since the previous season was such a disappointment. It's going to be interesting to see how the writers and producers develop the character of Kyle Harmon. I hope the producers don't have him become a basic opposite of Horatio and make him a villan. I feel that's unneccesary and formulaic (almost a cliche). It's nice to enjoy CSI: Miami again.

  • "Where's the boy?" "Where's the boy?" Really, guys, he has a name!

This is definitely better than the last two episodes. More Ryan angst! And this time he's being a expert material witness for $300 an hour. Natalia shouldn't have taken it as hard as she did. Technically, Ryan was doing her a favour. He helped her learn from her mistake. Evidence first. I'm really glad she didn't give What's-Her-DA's-Face any dirt on Ryan. I'm glad she's more mature than that. Emotion!Horatio! About time, even if it wasn't much. I wonder if we're going to see much more of Kyle. Probably prison visits from his dad. I missed out on the first five minutes of the show so I didn't really understand why people were rioting the bus and what not. Episode wasn't bad.
  • Horatio's son is being convicted as are three other criminals. To protect him, Horatio sends Frank along on the prisoners bus, but the criminals escape. Horatio starts his search for his son while Frank struggles with shooting a innocent during the escape

Nice character development. I always like these episodes best in the CSI's because, unlike the regular episodes, they actually contribute to the story. I thought the crash was pretty cool but the escape itself was filmed pretty lame. The whole blur thing just didn't work for me. Anyway, I liked Horatio's confession to his son and him protecting him while following the law and sending him to prison. Conclusion; very cool episode, with, even though it's very small, a nice character development. But what really started to bother me is Wolfe's role. He's so whiny. Wauw, this is definatly the worst review I have ever written.
  • 2 million in exchange to help releasing convicts out of prison. Then a deaf girl got shot... is the one who shot the girl, Tripp?? 4 convicts all around Miami, one of which is Kyle, H's boy. How will H find his son and the other convicts?

I never thought that Kyle going to say something like "If I go to jail, I want you to walk me in" whoaaa... DNA plays great part... he got H's DNA, he cant be that bad... after all he walked back to police office... and giving himself in. And H is trying to do a bit of his part as a dad i think... by bringing his son to a barber... H asked Oscar to protect his son while he is in jail, by exchanging with the 'third strike' After his son's life in stake, kidnapped by Joe LeBrock... and then Eric said something like 'too late, Liutenant Caine has his own method' and then he and H talked about the murderer of Marisol, whom they followed and took care in Brazil. Nat, though she is mad with Ryan, with the possibility that Ryan put her in the situation and questioned for her protocol... she cant bring herself to say badword about Ryan. ^^
  • H is a force to be reckoned with....this time he is down right scary!..Great job. P

This episode is the highlight of this young season. It was fast, action-packed, kept me on the edge of my seat for 45 minutes. Let's face it - it's a Horatio show - and exquisitely done. He manages to fight like a tiger for his kid, without getting him outside the law (which I was afraid of). All the scenes with Kyle and Horatio are well done. This time I even liked the character of Jr. The symbolism of H getting Kyle a hair-cut was beautiful. But the best scene of the episode was the interrogation scene with Joe...Now that was really scary. And for once I thought that it was completely possible that he would hit the guy (or worse)...

"If those scratches are from my son and anything has happened to him ......I'm gonna come back to this room, and you ....will leave it ....in a bag."...I totally believed that he would do that.

Please...keep this standard up in the episodes to come. And we will have a season that is worthy of the real CSI:Miami...a show that makes me arrange my life around Monday evenings.
  • Kyle gets caught up in a prison break on a bus while Ryan becomes a expert witness for the defense.

After suffering through two lackluster episodes, the show is finally starting to come to life. The writing was good and the editing was fast paced. Ryan becomes a thorn in the side of Natalia and Delko when he becomes a expert witness for the defense. Hopefully this gig will only be temporary. Natalia and Ryan have an exchange of words when he constructively calls to her attention the fact that she mishandled evidence that could put one of the escaped prisoners back on the street. Natalia assumes that Ryan set her up, which was all a misunderstanding on her part. Kyle and H have a bonding moment when Kyle turns himself in. I like the fact that he is starting to trust Horatio and is proving to be a kid that has a lot of heart. I also like the fact that Horatio is making Kyle be held accountable for his actions while seeing to it that he is being looked out for in prison. I don't see Horatio expecting Kyle be given special treatment which is what one can expect from Horatio.

The one thing I didn't like about the episode is the way Horatio told Kyle that he was his father. The whole scene seemed manufactued and didn't create any suspense that a revealation like that required. I don't think Kyle comprehended what Horatio told him but I hope that in future episodes we will see more reaction from Kyle when he fully comprehends that he has a father looking out for his best interests.
  • Hopefully Ryan won't become an unlikabe character as the producers are making him out to be!

I hope and pray that Ryan doesn't become unlikable as the producers are making him to be that way. Sure he is trying to make amends for his gambling addiction but still, that is no excuse for tossing a criminal back onto the street. While H's son, is in jail after he tried to run in the season six opener. He also notices and overhears a kidnapping plot. But, before H can get to him, as he asks a guard to watch over him. Kyle gets tied up. And will die. H warns the person in charge if he does anything to his son, he will leave in a bodybag. H is amazing!
  • Best episode of the season, not that it took much to win that title.

CSI: Miami seemed to be off to a less than favorable season when this gem came along. My aim is not to give away any spoilers, so I will only tell things that don't give endings away. Anyway, this episode was fantastic and I hope it starts a trend for the rest of this season to follow. This show needs more episodes like this one so it can stay afloat. I'm glad to see that something substantial finally happened with the plot of Horatio's son, Kyle. I really can't get used to Frank in the sergeant uniform, but I guess it works. Hopefully he'll move up a rank soon. It's great to see some life in this show and hope for more like it.
  • Exciting and completely unbelievable, just what we like about CSI:Miami.

Yeh, instantaneous DNA results. Doncha just love it! Mad plot (Caine's son, who he's only just found out about, gets caught up in jail break on his way to prison. Sounds so reasonable when you type it out!), great action and directed to within an inch of its life, you've gotta love this show. I think they've got an impregnable safe that's buried two miles down under the surface of the Moon where the writers have put all the sensible plot ideas. Who cares about having accurate forensic methods when the show's this entertaining.

I hope the rest of the season is as bonkers as this episode, it makes up for the the rather dowdy and tired original CSI, which is going through a poor run of episodes at the moment.
  • Mr. Responsibility is at it again!

    9.7
    "Superb"
I've always liked Horatio Caine. Yes, he's Mr. Responsibility - sometimes he seems to carry the world on his shoulders. But because of that, he is unflinching when life throws him curve balls like a son who is caught up in a crime with hardened, nasty guys. He doesn't try to get Kyle "off the hook" - Caine believes in accountability and taking responsibility even for one's mistakes - but he is a bulldog when it comes to safeguarding a life. Yes, Kyle's life seems to be living proof of the Law of Unintended Consequences; but Caine fiercely believes there is hope - for a relationship, for change, for, perhaps, redemption of a sort.

Ryan Wolfe is fascinating - sometimes he seems to loathe what he is doing, other times he seems to relish it. His ambiguity about being a private investigator whose work sometimes puts him at odds with his former CSI team makes a good counterpoint to Caine's certainty.

I was really tired when I turned this episode on at 11 p.m., but was wide awake and riveted to the set as Caine watched his son endure being walked into a prison yard. Bravo, guys.
