I was disppointed in this episode from the beginning because it recycles a storyline used in a recent episode of CSI: NY titled "Raising Shane" (that aired just a few weeks prior to this one) in which a CSI is falsely accused of murder. What redeems this episode to a certain degree is how well written it is and how the writers took a familiar storyline and did something new with it and made it entertaining. Recycling may be good for the enviornment, but not so for great television shows like CSI: Miami.

  • Not bad, I suppose.

It's not bad, I guess. You know, I really don't like Natalia and I was hoping she was actualy the killer. I think the fact that I dislike her got in the way of what a good job they did twisting the two crime scenes together. I wonder why Nick stole that stuff (if they mentioned it in the episode, I don't remember it). Valera admitting to the murder, really through me in a loop. Then Eric and Nick getting violent and Ryan coming to save the day. Whoo! Go Ryan! So ,we finally meet the night shift. DNA boy isn't bad looking.
  • Nick (natalia's ex) is murdered (let's all grief for a few seconds. Everyone has mourned?)

This episode was the Natalia-show and I don't understand what she did to deserve this. Don't get me wrong, she is a fine actress, but what storyline did Ryan get? Why can't they give Valera a more interesting role? Well they gave her the role of stupid friend who was stupid enough to date Natalia's ex --> stupid mistake. I think... they just used her for that, because they didn't really want to introduce a new character. Buhu. Anyhow, I always like the whole 'internal affairs' things, because it shows the more human side of the MiamiDade lab. Okay they are tough, okay they can solve every case; but people, they are not perfect, plus they have lives too so it's kinda normal they get involved. I kinda loathe Jake. I don'tknow why, but he bugs me, he's all loose and arrogant like 'hey I can do this with my eyes closed, this acting job', but maybe that's just his cocky character. And ..he's hot. The search for evidence was more exciting than other times, and it was a very good episode. Until the end. I mean: let's hold on to the good things? C'mon Horatio, you gotta do better than that! The guy beat her up! I'm just glad Nick's gone; no more Natalia shows (unless she has another dumb-as-a-post sister who is kidnapped, no? ), anyone?) for a whole while...
  • the investigation of one murder directly correlates with the investigation of another murder as one of their own csi's is brought up on charges of murder

i really loved this ep..i just wish i didnt keep getting interrupted..spoiler..from the start i was hooked..b/c we see cops after natalia and then they arrest her? and ur like wait a minute..what happened..and then they go back in time to an investigation before that one..that investigation was good and it was nice that when the other person died they had something of value from that murder..but the real one was the one natalia was in trouble for..then another csi came clean..luckily it turned out it wasnt either one of them..it was a guy whose wife killed the prior murder person..isnt it awesome how some things relate
  • Nick is murdered and Natalia is the suspect.

A Natalia episode! She is arrested for the murder of Nick Townsend and she must face the night shift CSI, Jake Bekerly, when Jake don't trust her. Valera made a confession to Jake that she accidentally killed Nick, but Jake don't trust her too. Meanwhile, Calleigh, Ryan and Delko investigate the death of Benjamin.

OK. This is one better episode. At least CSI: Miami shows improvement from this episode. Nick is murdered, and Natalia is arrested. This plot seems to be too normal and boring. Then later on, Horatio have the killer and their name is clear. This is also normal. Good episode, but not as interesting as the synopsis given.
  • A Natalia episode!

I quite enjoyed this episode. It did two things for me. It got rid of Natalia's creepy ex who I hated and it made me warm to Natalia a bit more. I thought she did pretty well in this episode and I liked the bit at the end where she broke down in tears and put her head on Horatio's shoulders. I actually like the idea of her and Horatio together as she seems to be his type. Poor Maxine in trouble again though but there absolutely no way no sane person would go out with one of their friends abusive ex husband. Jake really doesn't do it for me either, he doesn't seem to be a very good cop, he got his suspects and he was just trying to squeeze a confession out of them. All in all though, not bad! I just wish the lab wasn't under that much scrutiny because it's been a bit done to death.
  • Not a great plot - not a great set of actors SPOILERS

This episode is about a man found dead in an apartment, then this leads to Nick (Natalia's ex husband) being killed. The story in this episode is not good, it seems to be meshed together deliberately to show as much about Nick, Valera and Boa Vista as possible.

This doesn't work because the main characters everyone has gone on to like are barely featured in this episode. Eric is given one seen and it seems he was given it just so he appeared in this episode once. The actor who plays Jake isn't very good in this episode and his character is a bit pointless too.

The plot is not believable, it seemed as though there were two plots and they were stuck together to make one and it didn't work well.

The good thing about this episode is that they finally got rid of the character Nick. It was a pointless waste of time and it wasn't worth exploring at all. At least this plot will not be revisited.

The actors they use in this episode can't hold the show by themselves and it becomes apparent very quickly that the other guys aren't there.

They also didn't explain how Natalia's DNA got into Nick's bedroom anyway. Jake said that Natalia and Nick were sleeping together - was this confirmed or not?

All in all, not a good episode.
  • Natalia is susptected for killing her ex husband and Horatio works with the night shift to save her.

I liked this episode but I didn“t get a wow feeling from it.

But I always think its good when someone form the team is a suspect. I also like the fight between Delco and Nick.

    Luckily everything ends up good.

What I dont understand is how some people can say tht this episode is a copy of "Raising Shane" in CSI NY, its more like CSI NY copyed CSI Miami from "under suspicion" when H is the suspect, cause in both "Under suspiciond" and "Raising shane" one of the team members are suspects, so its more like CSI NT copyed CSI Miami.

Bue it is boring that Natalia is a suspect, cause Im kinda sick of that sort of theme on a episode, please come up with something else.
  • Could someone please tell that guy Jake to take acting lessons?!

    "Mediocre"
Jake was annoying and the episode was bad. could someone please explain to me why that stupid woman would sleep with her abusive exhusband that she put in jail? And the other stupid woman dating even after she was warned twice? The actor who played Jake really needs to find a new line of work. He clearly cannot act.
  • This was the episode when one of their own CSI's were accused of a crime and the internal affairs got involved in solving the crime.

I feel that the plot line was good, but it could have been a lot better, and much more exciting. The part when the detective was interagating Natalia, I felt that the cop was rude and he shouldnt have speculated teh evidence like that. The episode did keep me guessing, but i knew before it ended taht she would be cleared. It was obviouse becasue the main characters never go to jail. They just get killed. Like the primere of season three when speedle died. That mad me upset, becasue he was the coolest character on the show. He shouldnt of died.
  • Valera unfortunately didn't get her just desserts!

    5.4
    "Mediocre"
Everybody wanted Valera off of the show after what happened with the Mole episode to pay for what she had done for the team. Sadly though she didn't get her so called just desserts. After she was accused of killing her husband. The Night Crew and Internal Affairs screw things up. But of course, our favorite cop Horatio comes to the rescue.
  • Ok...so Eva LaRue is on the show. Does it always have to be about her?

    8.0
    "Great"
While I enjoyed this episode, because of all the 'could-haves', 'should-haves', etc...just about every episode that Ms. LaRue is in, seems to revolve around her. I don't know if the writers are trying to pull in the daytime audience or what, but you have to know that your cast is plenty strong enough to keep your fans interested. Yes, the story was interesting, especially finding out that Boa Vista was still sleeping with the ex-husband. She certainly has played the victim enough...maybe she can drop the "poor pitiful me" act now. Having Eric and Nick fight was great. Pulling in Callie's old boyfriend as the midnight shift homicide detective was interesting. He could definitely learn from Horatio. Exploring everyones' connections was great. I loved the final scene with Horatio playing the "father-figure", so to speak, to Boa Vista. It was touching and sadly true....some people will find that their lives are summed up in a card-broad box when they die. In other words, life isn't about the material things you have, but the people you touch, and the lives you make a difference in that truly measures your worth.
  • Nick is killed off and two women of the CSI are under suspicion

    8.6
    "Great"
Nick is found dead in his appartment, Natalia is arrested and Valera admits killing him, which she didn't. And Jack is put in charge of the investigation.....

Okay, this was a rather confusing episode...the interaction between the two women is strange, Jack's handling of the investigation seems intentionally bad so that Horatio can step in..

Erik takes a swing at Nick, this part was good. Also good was the reaction of the other members of the dayshift, Ryan, Calleigh and Horatio...tried to keep in the loop but did not interfere (not directly anyway)

Plot B dealing with the first murder was better, didn't see the resolution coming..

All in all, next one is hopefully better
  • Disappointing, predictable, been there done that, same stance, same dialogue, same blah blah blah. Change it up a little fellas! Let's take this show somewhere already!

    5.5
    "Mediocre"
For a huge CSI franchise, they sure are skimping on this episode. Storyline, acting, over-all directing, was flat. Extremely disappointing one of the worst episode. Natalia is a dull character with a one-note expression who doesn't bring any feeling for her. No empathy or understanding with this poorly scripted character/acting.
  • Kind of disappointed with the writers.

    "Mediocre"
I was hoping for something really interesting this time, but just got another "run-around" episode. Everything was soooooo freaking scattered with the episode, I had to rethink about everything that happened. Valera & Boa Vista.... trying to cover each other up??? Wth was up with that storyline? First, it did look like they were trying to cover something up but the stories was just plain retarded... I don't know... And Eric & Nick fist fighting, wouldn't Eric have been sent home or something? At least have a talk with Horatio or something... I was just very disappointed with this episode, thought it could've been put together better.
  • Natalie get taken in on suspicion of killing her husband. the night shift takes over the case to find out the answers . However they screw up an as usual Horasheo goes over the night shift wok and finds out who the real killer.

    3.1
    "Bad"
Just when you think natalie will get the boot she sorely deseves she isnt the killer. How could the night shift screw up the investigation so badly. Its like the only people good at being CSI are the main chractors(that goes for the origanl series). CSI Mamai used to be good but like many episodes this season there is a lot of hype and no return. the episodes tend to drag on. this episode was way to elberate. I realy dont think any one would have watched if there was a hope that natalie would be gone. hopefully this will be the last season. over all very poor episode.
