  • The impending divorce of Mr. and Mrs. Atherton gets so dramatic that Horatio and his team are forced to intervene. While this is happening people who have connections to the feuding couple are mysteriously turning up dead. The insane mystery begins.

Welcome to divorce of the future. As another review of this episode pointed out, there is a little too much of The War of the Roses in this episode. Also, there are a few implausabilities (A boat can be sunk with two shotgun blasts?) but that aside "Just Murdered" is one of the better episodes of this season. The acting by everybody is quite good and I found myself very interested in the story and how it would turn out. However I did not care for that stupid subplot involving the con woman from Delko's past.

  • Okay, I'm impressed, I really am.

This was a surprising episode. I was kind of hoping it wasn't the kid because then this episode would have totally sucked. Finding out it was the husband that killed the gym trainer and the pool boy who killed the the guy with the Lamborghini weren't surprising at all. Finding out it was both Anthertons', who killed the lawyer, was. OMG Peck on the check! When I heard they were going to kill, I thought lip-locking, not a peck on the check. Poor Eric, that dumb $^#$@^#@$, uh, lawyer going after him after he was shot. Then that stupid house wife wanting her money. I'm glad Calleigh put her in her place, even if it was only for a few minutes.

But, I think I feel the worst for Nathan. His parents fighting all over their stuff. The ending for this was cool, with the way they were flashing to their wedding day. It wasn't annoying, either.
  • Divorce gone overboard.

I know that we have to suspend disbelief when watching shows like CSI. But this episode really pushed that over the edge!

One - does a District Attorney even bother to show up at the "scheduled the same day as the arrest" motion to exclude the evidence? Two - How does Eric get to go back in the field "because Horatio is getting the attorney disbarred?" Gee, guess none of the other defense attorneys will ever think of questioning his work. Shhhh. Maybe nobody noticed!

Three - How does Horatio get an attorney disbarred? Four - When there is a violent incident on a boat on Star Island, why is the head of the crime lab even there? Much less the first responder on the scene? Guess they're all out of patrolmen in Miami-Dade.

Yes - they have to condense and use the lead actors for all of the action, but my enjoyment of this episode was very much eroded by the illogic.
  • This just goes to show how nasty divorce can be. ERIC AND CALLEIGH HAD THE CUTEST MOMENT! I almost screamed!

This episode had a great meaning. it goes to show how far people will go to win money or other items. I felt bad for the kid,Nathan Atherton. Eric and Calleigh had a beautiful moment. If you like HipHugger's then you would scream! This episode is exactly why I watch this show! It had it all in this. Horatio's chessy one-liner and the AWSOME kiss on the cheek. This also goes back in Eric's history alittle. That woman that tricked Eric is back and I have to say she makes my blood boil. All-over-all it was a AWSOME episode! watch it!
  • Divorce is deadly. Just don't get married (that appears to be a lot easier and safer)

She kissed him! On the cheek! Well that kinda sucked. But hey, at least there were other characters than Horatio in this episode. God I am so excited. Where the hell is Jake? This is so cool! This is nothing compared to CaRWash, this is going to be one hell of a love triangle. *sighs* This episode was crazy and silly, but I laughed so hard and I loved the characters so well, that I had to give this episode a good mark. How do they manage? I mean, everytime there's personal stuff, the episode is totally screwed up. It wasn't that bad off course, but there are better episodes (aren't there always?) If not for the crazy deaths of the men and women, you should really see the episode, just to look if you're able to follow it. I'm telling you, these people are hilarious. I mean, killing someone with a knife from your wedding cake? Absolutely Fabulous! Or how extravagance can be freaky good.
  • Divorce is nasty, especially when money and material possessions are at stake.

Excellent show. This episode shined the light on a divorce centered on financial and material wealth. Proves just how egotistical people become during the nasty aspects of a bad divorce. The effects it has on other people around them was an interesting aspect. After all, what is good for the goose, is good for the gander. This episode covers the gamut from a little anger unmanaged, a bit of revenge and topped off with their child paying for their egotistical actions and mistakes, ... or did he?
  • Calleigh and Eric. Calleigh and Eric!

This episode was very good. I was mostly looking forward to a lot of Calleigh and Eric. So I wish there could have been a little more on that. But I guess on tonights episode they'll give us more info. But this episode was great. A divorce taken completely out of control. Very interesting plot. Good episode overall.
  • War of the Roses - CSI: Miami style

    8.9
    "Great"
This was a humorous episode, which isn't the norm for CSI: Miami. It is not an excellent episode, but better than most of the episodes this season. I figured that things would end not so well for the couple. But they can only blame themselves. What type of murderer are you to kill the husband's lawyer (after finding he took their belongings from the safebox), then put on the the watch and earrings from the safebox? What makes this work is because the writers made the couple very insane, as they were fighting over a bitter divorce and just cared about how much money each were getting. I was a little dissapointed that the hype leading up to the "tender moment" between Eric and Calliegh was just a kiss on the cheek. It was funny how Natalia walked in and asked what that was all about. A little jealousy perhaps? This episode was what CSI: Miami needed after a generally disappointing season so far.
  • Divorce's Forensic's and Chemistry between CSI's what else do you need?

This episode brings so many questions, calleigh and erics relationshp has always been close fom the start when speedle died they started to drift apart. now season five they have been brought close together and the way the writers have managed to build on it slowly has made this episode even more better. The kiss that happened beween them was sentimental and showed deep down that there are deep feelings!

The episode its self included kelly carlson from nip/tuck truly shows how a bitter divorce can go out of proportion miami style, Eric's injury is still proving to be a problem for him but Calleigh is always there to help him out.
  • 'divorce of the future'- three murders, one hell of a marriage, an interesting plot and a peck on the cheek.....all in all - a very entertaining episode....season five is getting better and better

Man....the second part of this season really had a lot of good episodes...This one might be one of the best. Good and interesting story-line. Three connected murders - and the last one commited by the war-faring couple. Apparently this was the only thing they could agree on. And how cool was the laser grid dividing the parents' house. Divorce of the future indeed. Loved the Eric and Calleigh interaction. She really is coming through for him again and again since his brush with death. But also H was backing him up today....The team is working very well together these days.

Nathan is the real victim in this war of roses. His comment "They never fought about me" was very touching. The end with the flashbacks to their wedding was a nice idea and not at all corny. In summary, really entertaining episode. No complaints whatsoever. Season 5 is better than season 4. I am ready for season 6.
  • A very surprisingly good episode

    9.2
    "Superb"
I have to admit, I didn't like most of the CSI:Miami episodes of this season at all so far. But this one just broke out of devil's circle. It was extremely well written, with quite a few of twists and a tinkering bit of suspense.

Of course, after the two murderers where caught half way into the episode, one had to know there'd be more to come. I really did not know what the real case was, who the final murder was, until the very end. I especially liked the role of Nathan Atherton, very well played, and in addition the "Back-and-Forth Wedding/Arrest" cut scenes.

One other little thing on the plus-side: I was very content that Horatio held back with his sleazy remarks this episode...
  • Miami is back!

Every ime I consider giving up on this show, it pulls a great episode out of the bag. Yes, the case was good. Original, and not too contrived. But it was the main cast who shone on this one.

Horatio was at his best here; in charge, intelligent and poser-y. Calleigh and Eric may possibly be the sweetest thing in Miami. Nice to see the continuity fairy at work there, with Delko's injury (she's one lazy fairy). I was wondering what happened with that evil girl suing him.

Ryan setting off the laser like an idiot :) Classic. And It was just a really great episwode, I loved it!
  • Eric & Calliegh moment again!

    8.7

We see a messy divorce as it is pretty funny but still it is a divorce nonetheless. As both spouses or soon to be exes want to blame the other. But there is a deep dark secret hidden as both spouses want to plan the perfect muder. Meanwhile, we see a tender Calliegh and Eric moment as indeed Calliegh has helped bailed out Eric a lot.
  • "War of the Roses" Miami style.

    8.5
    "Great"
Interesting script to say the least. Definitely divorce Miami style. However, like Miami it's never boring. Three murders and only one commited by the Atherton's, nice twist.I actually like the twist of the Atherton's only being responsible for one murder. I actually appreciate, someone, anyone questioning Eric's abilities so soon after being shot. Didn't think it was fair or agree with how, but appreciated the questions. H going after the Felding was classic. Unfortunately, Nathan Atherton is also a victim. I wished they explored the connection between Nathan and Calleigh more. NOW for the "big" moment. I still don't think there is much here other than friends being appreciative of friends, being there for each other. Remember, Eric does have some memory loss. But we'll see, I've been known to be wrong before.
