  • Starts like the usual CSI Miami episode, but ends in a surprising way

    9.0
At first it looks like another one of those boring episodes, as the main case is about another murder at a nightclub/disco/whatever. And it looks like more boring when we see that Delko loses his badge while having a "quickie" in the streets, and when he reports the incident, the IA guy insists on the idea that everything has to do with Speedle's death (seriously, dude, wtf?). Meanwhile, Valera gets suspended because she screwed something up on a case months ago.

While Horatio is on the streets investigating another killing, he sees the guy who shot his brother, Ray; then he finds out that this guy, who was supposed to be in jail for life, is now free under parole. Then the magic of tv works it out and Horatio finds the guy, and finds out he's an undercover agent and Raymond Caine is still alive.

In the end, we see that the main case killer is a woman who was raped some time ago but her case was dismissed, so she spontaneously find herself performing a revenge on who is supposed to be responsible for what happened to her. And while she confesses right in front of Calleigh and Wolfe, we can see a bitter look on their faces when they realize the system has failed.moreless

i havent seen this ep for awhile so bear with me if i dont get this 100% correct lol..i did really like this ep..except of course for one factor..delko was being his usual self but he just got carried away really..and he lost his badge..it was sad to see but for what he did he got the rightful punishment..horatios info on his brother was just so shocking to me and its nice to see the personal conflict in there every once in awhile..and then trying to decide whether to tell his sister-in-law..that was the most conflicting of all..the other case was good and was wrapped up nicemoreless
  • Horatio learns his brother is still alive.

    9.0
The plot is starting to thicken with this episode as Horatio learns his brother is alive and still undercover. The part I like the best is the guy accused of killing his brother is undercover also and he is one of my favorite actors on The Unit. Horatio lies to his sister in law about the subject, wonder what thats about. Delco loses his badge while having anonymous sex. Her brother steals the badge and uses it to commit murder for drugs. This plot has been developing for quite some time and I am excited to see how it plays out. As usual the cast in this show does a great job.moreless
  • A fie example why I like this show

    9.4
This episode is a fine example why I like this show... for me it's the best of the CSI's (i Know most wont agree with me in that). I prefer the way Horatio deals with the cases and with is people, the storyline for is caracter keep people interested... people in this CSI are treated more like for what they are people while in CSI only Nick goes this way... well... it just my opinion!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • When Valera was leaving she told Ryan that her fate was similar to the Greek thing in the bible about looking and turning into stone. She got the Bible mixed up with Greek Mythology. The Bible thing was about Lot's wife turning into salt after looking at the crumbling city of Sodom and Gommorah. And the Greek Myth was about the Medussa, a creature that when looked upon turns the looker into stone.

    • Valera is suspended after making a drastic mistake involving a victim in a rape case several months ago.

    • Apparently, Horatio's brother Ray is not dead, but was part of a complex undercover operation.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Calleigh: Actually, we want you do to it.
Frank Tripp: You got a broken arm again?
Ryan: It's, uh, sticky situation and we need to be above approach.
Frank Tripp: Alright, but I'm gonna warn you, I hunt and I peck, I don't want anyone breathing down my neck.
Calleigh: Alright, we won't even exhale until you're done (smiles).

    • (Eric's just back from printing the place where he lost his badge)
Eric: Hey, I've got six of these (prints) I need scanned... rush.
Joseph Kayle: Look, I heard about your badge, but I'm not jeopardizing my job helping you find some girl Delko.
Eric: Listen, we think the badge could've been used in a murder today.
Joseph Kayle: Like I said, I'll get right on it... so these were at the "scene of the crime"?
      Eric: You could say that.
(The first set of prints matches a man, Joseph gives Eric a look)
      Eric: Try again.

    • CSI Tech: Wireless dating Delko? I don't know why you just don't go talk to them, they're like 30 ft away.
Delko: It's not a date, besides I'd rather just cut to the chase.

    • (Calleigh and Ryan investigate an "escorts" service)
      Noelle: mmm... "MBL".
      Calleigh: What's that?
Noelle: A client category: "Married But Looking".
Ryan: You fix up married men?
Noelle: We're here to make a profit-
Calleigh: And break up some homes apparently.
Noelle: We really don't look at that end of it.
Calleigh: Well it may have cost your partner her life.

    • (Calleigh and Ryan process a bed-murder-scene, they find a white substance on the sheets)
      Ryan: Biological?
      Calleigh(rubbing the substance): It's salty.
Ryan: I'm not going to say anything.
      Calleigh: As in Margarita salty.

    • (Horatio and Alexx process a night-club-murder-scene)
Alexx: All these sheers and no one saw the murder?
Horatio: In a place like this, sex and murder might be indistinguishable.

    • (Alexx identifies a body)
Alexx: Kim Burton, poor baby... she left behind a beautiful corpse aside from the petichia (suffocation indicator)

    • Horatio: (To Eric who has lost his badge) Play it straight. We file the paperwork, we take the hit…
Eric: That means involving IAB… I mean, that's guilty until proven innocent!
Horatio: Ok, but you've done nothing wrong.
Eric:Then how come I feel like I'm going to slit my own throat?

  • NOTES (4)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Slang: Toothing
"Toothing" is a slang term for using a Bluetooth-enabled device to cruise for anonymous sex. Two weeks before this episode originally aired (but long after it was filmed), the globally rampant nature of toothing was revealed to be a hoax meant to prove the gullibility of the media, apparently including CBS.
