well well well, firs of all, I want to say that this one was my favorite episode at least during the first six seasons, I really loved this second episode, I dont know why it is not in the TOP TEN EPISODES, it had everything you want to find in a top episode.

The scene where horatio and the bomb team try to rescue the second victim was simply the best, my heart almost exploded there jajajaja, but seriously, this chapter is one of the best chapters from the entire show, I only could find two episodes better than this one and they are from season eight.

A woman wakes up to hearing her husband yell for her. A bomb is straped to him. The bomb exploded when Al was trying to cut it off. Horatio was very close to him. The action switch was carried out on a boot from the fire fighters. He had 2 wives. One wife had on french lace and the Columbian wife was thought to have made a bomb. Nail polish and hair dye have the same additives as a bomb. The 2nd bomb didn't go off. The guy is after the bomb squad. The man wore a wig. Insecticide was banned and it was found on the man. He works at U.S. customs. Horatio set the safety switch and made the bomb clear.moreless

Don't you just love Horatio as he is Mr Cool, Calm, and Collected and never, ever, gets all messed up when he is investigating cases
The serial bomber has hit Miami and he tries to not let Megan's interferrance run and get the best of him
That is why I love H more than I do Gil and Mac
Because he does have a heart and soul!

  • This early episode really highlighted two things. Horatio didn\\\'t need Megan to solve anything. And Megan was for all intents and purposes in the way.

    "Good"
The most interesting angle of this story was the man who \\\"lost face\\\" had wives in two countries. He acted totally devoted to whichever one he was with at the time. Both thought he was a great husband. How does that happen? Only on television, I guess.
This episode was the best evidence of why Kim Delaney did not belong on the series. They developed a story for her about her watching her husband get knocked out of a window. When she is telling Horatio this story, it just seems forced. Tabloid speculation was that she was drinking heavily. Based on the level of her performance, that would not come as a surprise. At the point this episode came out, the show was trying to find and build an audience. The show did that without Delaney just fine.moreless

    • It's fine that the American wife of the victim didn't know about the other, but how could possibly Lauriana (the one from Colombia) be without the slightest hint? Whoever brought her the news of the gruesome death of her husband (a death that was prominently featured on tv, too) had to tell her at least WHERE he died, if not all the circumstances. It is not reasonable that her husband dying "at home" in a house she didn't even know of couldn't lead her to be at least a bit suspicious! Edit

    • Megan: (to Horatio) Grief is grief; work is work. Don't confuse the two. Edit
    • Megan: You okay? Horatio:Yeah, I'm fine. (puts the ring into the envelope) Megan: Horatio, What are you doing? Horatio:I'm giving Al's wife his wedding ring back. Megan: That's evidence. Horatio: I know that. Megan: You can't just give it away. Horatio: I'm not giving it away. I'm giving it back Edit
    • Calliegh: French lace from the window at the Moreno house. It's also used on high-end toupees. It gives a more natural look to the hairline. Speed: Lace on a rug. Calliegh: Uh-huh. Speed: Well, shoot me if it comes to that. Edit
