Amazing. The beginning at the bridge is breath-taking when everything collapses. The case of the kidnapping is well written. The teams acting is incredible in the final scene where they are at Tim Speedle's funeral. This is an remarkable and one of the saddest episodes ever. Tim Speedle makes a return in 6.4 "Bang, Bang, Your Dept".

Goodbye to one of the best CSI's I knew, Tim Speedle. I saw this episode for the first time last night, and was quite sad to see Speed go, even if I knew that it was going to happen. The first episode of CSI Miami I watched was in Season 5, and I never really knew speedle, but when I saw one of the older eps I had to figure out who he was. I grew to like him and his sarcastic ways, but to see him die, it made me cry. Superb syncopation between music and scenes, and a very emotional goodbye makes this episode one of my favourites here. It's quite sad that he had to die though. And in my world, Horatio kicked the crap out of that jewel guy.

I don't mind Ryan as a replacement, but I do miss Speed's wit and humour (even if it may be sarcastic) and I can't wait to watch "Bang Bang, your debt" to see Speed's "return"moreless

  • Soooooooooo sad...

The last episode of second season was quite disappointing. The first episode of third season definitely made it all better. At least as far as the plotline and action go. The story was incredibly sad and it made impossible for me not to cry. Especially during the funeral scenes.

It definitely won't be the same without Speed although I must say, that I was far more upset after the death of Warrick Brown in the original CSI series than after this episode. For now I'm quite intrigued as to what else can happen in third season. Or rather what did happen 'cause so far I'm quite behindmoreless

Mmmk. I recently watched this and I cried out my eyeballs! LOl not really or I wouldn't be typing this. Um. Tim Speedle was the best character on there yet. But then RyanWolfe replaced him which he is indeed hot but I missed Speed. He was a lovable character and very funny.....I would love to see Speed again in the near future. Maybe even rise from the grave...but that isn't possible. Maybe as a ghost...like he did in Bang, Bang, your dept. Anyway...I super miss him! I know that Rory wanted to be off and CBS agreed but couldn't they like do something less.....yeah...I MISS SPEED!!

I cried over and over everytime i re-watch this episode. H tried his best to hold his emotion and his tears... it was almost exploded when talking to the diamond guy...
Alex and Calleigh almost burst out i think...
That IAB guy... what is it exactly in his mind... investigating when the body is still warm?? And then rushing Calleigh to examine Speedle gun... Eric also tried hard to keep his emotion... and to focus in his work to save the lil boy. The best part is that lucky the boy is safe in the end... though at the cost of one CSI's life...
My tears almost fall again.. hikz...moreless

    • Goof: While the couple are sitting on the back of the rescue truck, you can see them switch positions under the blanket 2 or 3 times. Edit
    • Goof: In the beginning, when Horatio calls in and says that they have a missing 6-year old boy, they say they are on the case. Then, near the ending, they mention something about the boy, and they say he is eight years old. That's two years off. Edit
    • Goof: The reference to a vehicle wheelbase of 60 inches is way off. There is no car whose centerline distance between the front and rear wheels is only five feet. Most automotive wheelbases are between 90-100 inches and the biggest cars get over 120 inches. The S-Type Mercedes referred to by Horatio has a 121.5 wheelbase. The writers should have referred to track or track width, the spacing between front wheels (or rear wheels), where 60 inches is fairly common (and the S-Type is 62 inches). Track width would also be a lot easier to use as evidence since calculating wheelbase from tire tracks would at the least require measuring the arcs from all four tires. Edit

    • DOI Guy: Two months before this bridge is retrofitted, this happens. Eric: Yeah, well, you've got your problems and I've got mine. We haven't released the crime scene yet. DOI Guy: Your crime scene is part of a bridge failure. Eric: Well murder trumps the bridge, okay? So you're going to have to relinquish the boat. DOI Guy: You CSI guys have been dusting and tape-lifting for five hours. What else are you planning on doing to the thing? (Something catches Eric's attention. He shines his flashlight on the boat.) Eric: Have a look at that. You see that? (A bracelet is caught on the boat.) Eric: Must've been jarred loose when the boat was being towed. I'm going to have to search the exterior of this vessel.
