A young woman is found dead in her condominium. While Ryan and Alex investigate the scene, a fire suddenly erupts. The cause of the fire is revealed to me a meth lab set up in the condo. The dead woman was a drug dealer. The investigation begins.moreless
As another review of this episode pointed out, there is a conspicuous absence of a Horatio one liner right before the opening credits here. However, this episode was very well done and entertaining. This season has been a definite improvement over last. With an earlier episode titled "Stand Your Ground" and this one, CSI: Miami appears to be getting on track. The story focusing on the unscrupulous FBI agent and his informant is very well written and acted. My interest never wavered through out this episode. Eva La Rue once again delivers a great performance as Natalia. A terrific episode.moreless
The episode started off with a woman found dead in her condo... Ryan comes n want to check to fingerprints on her but while doing so a fire suddenlly starts from the socket. the place is almost burnt completely.. When checked about the fire they show some wierd thing in the wires in the socket. this part really confused me cos i did not really get the picture here... The investigation brings up Natalia's past in FBI.. there an agent in questioned bout having affairs with the dead victim... many suspects are involed in this episode... They also confirm that the dead woman, Racheal, is a drug dealer earlier on in the show... Near the ending Alexx brings up the information that the dead woman was pregnent and Natalia confirms that the father was her brother -her step brother actually... But he denies murdering her... The landlord is caught as the murderer... The episode ends with Farallon being question bout not going to Rachael's aid... He admits that he wanted her dead so that his affair with her goes unseen...moreless
We had a chance to take a closer look on Natalia's past. The story was quite cleverly plotted. A dead CI being a reason to start rumble through an FBI agent's past. Finally turns out that even noble people aren't that noble after all. I hate to think that all over the world there are people like BV's old friend. I liked the big BOOM at the beginning. It's the second episode in a row with a noisy teaser which is a good thing in my opinion. By the way--if there was a meth lab in the apartment I'd expect the explosion to be stronger. Fortunately nothing happened to Alexx and Ryan, but they must have been really lucky. I want more H.!moreless
It served as a watchable episode to take us into the Christmas break. Had some nice action with the latest evidence gathering tool going up in flames along with the victim. All the characters getting screen time was goodmoreless
It served as a watchable episode to take us into the Christmas break. Had some nice action with the latest evidence gathering tool going up in flames along with the victim. All the characters getting screen time was good although H didn't do many of those great one-liners. Alex was her usual self with a melodramatic and unneeded statement. The ending was pretty much expected as in the criminal but an FBI agent that purposely left the vic to die was a nice touch. As I said it was an adequate episode leaving hope for better in the new year.moreless
Ryan and Alexx are examining the body and the crime scene. when Ryan tries to fume the body for prints the electrical socket burstes into flames. then the body catches on fire and they find a meth lab in the kitchen. a FBI agent is suddenly involved because the victim was his CI. all of the sudden Alexx finds out that she was going to have a baby. this is the coolest episode. i cant wait for the next csi miami. i like the computer and the USB drive. i want one if it was real. csi miami is awesome. lolmoreless
The recording of Rachel Hemming and Jeremy Broyles that Natalia discovers is timestamped 9:38 am, but in the flashback at the end the laptop in Agent Farallon's car puts the conversation at 9:28am.
Edit
This is the third time that Alexx gets involved in a fire, altough the previous two have been in the Everglades (episodes 2x14 Slow Burn and 3x16 Nothing to Lose), and both have been with Delko, while this one is with Wolfe
Edit
After the apartment goes up in flames, we later see Calleigh wearing spiked high heels as they were searching the debris. This would have been very foolish, as the floor would have been unsafe to walk on with heels like that.

Zach: Look, you're looking at the wrong guy here. I didn't come to Miami to kill anyone.
Calleigh: If you did, you'll never leaving.
Edit
Horatio: You two ok?
Alexx: We both are a litle crispy around the edges but, yeah, we are alright.
Edit
Valera: Calleigh, you needed to see me?
Calleigh: Yes, I was wondering if you would take those four cans of glass that we got from the crime scene and run them through DNA.
Valera: (disbelievingly) Every piece?
Calleigh: Yeah.
Delko: And we're gonna need it ASAP, okay?
Valera: Sure, and while I'm at it I'll find a way to end global warming and finish that proof of the unified field theory I've been working on.
Calleigh: Would it be inappropriate if I asked you right now if it was going to take you more than an hour?
Valera: (laughing incredulously) I know I'm a miracle worker, but there is a lot of work to be miracle-d here...
