In this episode of CSI Miami, the following happens. When a mother is killed after a party at her house, the CSI team are called in. They soon find evidence that she wasn't the perfect mother that everyone thought she was. She had been abusing her children for years and they were frightened to death of her. Soon they get a suspect, the daughter's boyfriend, only soon they find evidence that exclude him. Soon evidence shows them who the true killer is, her young son. We also learn that she had another son, who died when he was 5 years old after she was punishing him. Overall a really food episode, which showed that sometimes appearances aren't always what they seem. As the episode ends, a car explodes and Eric is nearby but luckily is ok. Calleigh races to his side and then screen fades out to black.
  • Mom gets killed. Husband is suspect number one. However as the team looks behind closed doors, there is much to be said for a family that looks perfect on the outside. As a side story, we find more out about Delco, and what he is doing.

As a fan of the CSI family. CSI: Miami has become one of my number one shows that I always try to catch up on. This weeks episode Mommie Deadest... Wow, wonderful story, excelent lead in to the next few episodes. Makes me look forward to Monday's all over again. I want to see the love affair, the mystery, and the murder. Just so that I can figure out who did what to who before the show ends. Then there is always the side story about the CSI's themselves. LOVE IT! Thank You bring in these characters into our homes every monday night.
  • Emotional, intriguing, perfect!

I loved how this episode wasn't about the classical father being the monster. Instead it was the mother who was the monster and the abuser. It shows that even women can be the cause of domestic violence.

My suspicion of who the killer was turned out to be right, but it doesn't make it less sad. I don't think a jury would convict him though, not with the family history that the family has.

Eric is lurking around, looking in to old cases and the CSIs bank accounts. I can sense something bad coming out of this. I don't think Eric will have many fans in the lab after this, even if his intentions are good. And what an ending! Which will also be start of next week's episode, I can't wait to see it!
  • This episode had me glued to the screen. A must watch! It gives the Season 1-3 vibe with a shocking family scene and a build-up to the episodes to come.

We haven't had a domestic scene for a while on CSI Miami... We have an abusive mom who comes up with creative punishments for her kids, and she winds up being murdered.

I think the best part were the CSIs' reactions to the crime. I mean they see things like this all the time, but the shock on their faces when they see and later, hear about the things the kids went through were well done by the actors/actresses. Natalia shines during this episode, especially when she finds out that the son did it - her expression was really good. Of course, Horatio + kids = always good interactions.

I kind of feel bad for Rebecca Nevins and Eric Delko... they both gotta do what they gotta do. I'm kind of confused with the explosion though. Why is Calleigh there? From the photos for next week's episode, does that mean they are gonna flash back to what happens before the explosion?
