I was afraid this was going to be bad in a declining way, but it wasn't! Actually, it was half and half. The whole Horatio posing, repeating of lines already used in past epsiodes really sucked but, the parts where Alexx was in the court room and the last moments of the episode with Eric getting shot really brought out those lost emotions in Horatio.

New Rule: Never piss Calleigh off. She really terrified me when she was interrogating the father on the side of the road. Not that I blame her or anything. Mmmm, my favourite parts of this epsiode were the scenes with Ryan and Eric with their backs tothe camera. Dang, those pants of theirs are nice!

You know, this epsiode was so much like Dispo Day. Evidence Disposal truck gets blown over, cops are injured/killed and evidence is stolen and a CSI is shot. I hope Eric doesn't die. I think the ratings for the show would drop dramatically if the writers pull another stunt like that to put an end to the contract for the actor like they did for Rory Cochrane. I'd stop watching because CSI: Miami wouldn't be CSI: Miami without Eric. My final words are GRRRR and lol. GRRRR because it's a two part epsiode and lol because of what Cruz said, "Horatio Caine, Master of the obvious." Please don't get rid of Eric!!!!!
  • Clavo Cruz returns.

Clavo Cruz is sent to the prison in season 3 and now he is involved in a crime. At first I wonder, why the hell did Clavo stabbed the prison guard. We find out later, so that he can escaped when he is sent to the court. That what we call cold-blooded killer, do whatever they can to escape. OK, this episode is not good enough (personally). I think this episode is a little bit boring and too much drama. Nothing special. Well, Clavo Cruz seeks revenge on Horatio because Horatio sent him to prison, he wants Horatio's money as he has a hostage. Did Horatio really give all of his money? He will totally become a poor man. This is the first part of two special episode. But I don't feel exciting to watch the second part, as this episode disappointed me a little. I really hope the next episode will be better than this.
  • Great episode. This was pretty good for a two- parter.

A truck carring gun melt guns it knocked over and the weapons are stolen. then a kid is found dead in a yard and was shot with one of the guns that was stolen. Alexx goes to a trial for Clavo Cruz. he is broken out of the court house and takes a hostage by blowing it up witha rocket launcher. When H and Eric are told that the hostage is in a car in the parking lot, they go to save her. when they get to the car Clavo's men start shooting at them. Eric is shot in the leg and H grabs him and hides behind a car. when H kills the guy another guy shoots and hits Eric in the head. H looks at Eric and wispers "Eric?" this is the best two parter ever. i love season 5
  • Somewhat of a complicated story but a good episode SPOILERS

    9.6
    "Superb"
The story for this episode is a little ambitious, the sequence of events is very dramatic and a tad unrealistic for everything to follow on in such a way. The story starts with a truck being blown over, that's OK so far. The unreal part is using a rocket launcher to break someone out of court - very video game. Then million dollars wired etc...

The story may be a bit childish B -Movie esk but it's still a great episode. The characters and actors are fantastic in this one and is possibly some of their best performances.

The ending was a strange one, the idea that Eric is shot and then shot again is OK if not odd that the bullet seems to have travelled through Horatio but it's very often that the episodes before a character is killed or injured, he/she has a larger, more personal role and this is true thinking back to the last few episodes when Eric is served. Maybe it was all a hint.

I'm not sure how the story will turn out but it's a fairly good two parter. I'm not sure it's perfect though because even at the end when "To Be Continued" rolled up I wasn't hugely curious to see what happened next.
  • Just read the summary up there

I really enjoyed this episode; it was so exciting and thrilling, it was nerve-wracking, seriously! This Clavo Cruz is insane and he's not intimidated by Horatio--> not good. On the other hand; he's cocky, so he'll make a mistake. I can't wait 'til next episode! Oh my and when Alexx was in that building as it was being attacked; I got so scared! I was so happy when I saw she was okay, helpinh people! I could almost cry; I bet Horatio could too. And something else (silly I know) I saw Calleigh wear boots! High-heeled boots; but still! She wore boots! I was so proud of her. She looked hot :) Really! And when Eric was shot in his leg, I just knew this was the episode he would get shot in the head. And it did happen! Horatio was looking at him so worriedly and the next moment shot and he was lying down, motionless. Then that ominous 'to be continued' Dreadful! They seriously need to run in Clavo Cruz; God I hate that guy. I'll bet it'll be an exciting race! And then Delko! Horrible! There's one advantage--> I'm talking Calleigh and Eric :) Silly me, always dreaming. Anyway, amazing episode! Need to see this! Again! And again!
  • I love watching CSI: Miami, but this two-parter was a real let down. Its plot points hinged on absolutely ridiculous foundations. Just ask yourself... would you incinerate a loaded weapon?

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
First we have a tearjerker side plot in which a little boy shot and killed. But for that to be plausible, we have to accept that a handgun being transported to an incinerator for melting would be sent with bullets in the cylinder. Then we have to believe that someone would go to all the trouble of stealing this handgun from a disabled Miami PD truck, only to drop it in a trash can, in broad daylight, on a residential street.

Meanwhile, and more critically, it seems that the police also ship LAWS rocket launchers to the incinerator with the rocket still in place. This weapon is then put in the hands of a man who is either suicidal or too ignorant about the weapon to know that it's rocket exhaust, in an enclosed space, will cook him alive. That's who Caine's old nemesis, the clever Clavo Cruz, entrusts with a crucial part of his escape plan? Furthermore, the escape requires that the missile explosion kill or injure everybody in the courtroom except Cruz. Wow! Smart missile indeed.

So, they give us an emotional episode that hinges upon something that would never, ever happen, and compounds that with what amounts to a magical rocket. Please.

Wow, what an exciting episode. I can't believe that Eric got shot in the head. So did not see that coming. I have always loved the chemistry (so to speak) between Clavo and Horatio. I was excited to see him back. This episode had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait to see the next episode to find out if Eric died. What a loss that would of been. Hats off to the writers, this was a terrific set up for the next episode. I am a huge CSI fan (all 3 shows) and am so glad to see that the writing can still hang strong!!!
  • Keep the drama on the screen!

There aren't too many things that keep me up at night, but CSI:MIAMI...?! I'm there! Everytime I see Lt. Caine follow up on his promises or people, I can safely say "I am a CSI:MIAMI fan!" Lt Caine does not make promises or have people that he doesn't intend to keep (around). "Got to" love that Lt. Caine!!!
  • This was a GREAT episode. I cannot believe Eric got SHOT!

    "Perfect"
I will have to say this first half of this episode was great

It was very well written and kept me on the edge of my seat constantly. It all started out with a truck being stopped and flipped for guns that were headed for disposal. Then in comes a cousin of Horatio Caine's arch-enemy Clavo. This was all a setup so Clavo could escape from prison. Then in comes a teenager who is responsible for her three brothers when one of the brothers accidentally shoots his younger brother so there was some time spent on this and then when that was more or less solved Clavo is calling Horatio and trying to blackmail him. Meanwhile Alex is going to the courthouse and the csi's figure out there is a bomb and Alex gets a call from Horatio but she thankfully escapes being hurt. When Horatio and Eric go to look for the lady I knew something bad was going to happen and then Eric gets shot in the leg and I thought it was over with then out of nowhere he gets shot in the head and yes he did look dead.

This leaves us hanging until the next week to see if Eric lives or dies and Clavo is still on the run.

  • i was freaking out at the end!

ok I love this show so i looked at a TV Guide and it said something was going to happen to Alex. Either it didn't say anything about Delko or I didn't read that part because i was so not ready for that. I hated that criminal guy when he was first there and now they bring him back, that was so not cool... So when Delko got shot in the leg i was like well what the heck i didn't know that was going to happen, and i was doing something at the same time, so i was half way paying attention, and then i look back at the TV and he is just kind of laying there and i begin to freak out because Delko rocks and if he dies.....AAAAAAHHHHH
  • I can't believe Delko got SHOT!!!

    9.8
    "Superb"
I meant honestly first it was Speedle then it was Delko's sister and now if Delko is dead, oohh man!!! "CSI: Miami goes through people like I go through dirty shirts" - direct quote from my dad!!! Anyways...I love this show and I absolutely love Delko and i really hope he doesn't die. Even if he isn't able to do as much as long as he's died I'll be good...I'll be better if he's ok though. Its going to take me along time to get over the fact that he got shot...twice. If he can't do anything then they better get a good replacement for him!!!
  • OMG!!OMG!!!OMG!!! I knew it was coming and still was blown away. Eric gets shot, twice....and to me he looks dead. Clavo, H's new arch-enemy, is back out of prison and in for revenge.

This was a close to perfect episode. The best so far in this season. It all starts when a police truck, loaded with weapons, is blown up and the cargo, i.e. the guns are missing.Suddenly a cousin of Clavo Cruz shows up...and all hell breaks loose. The B-plot is quite good, a kid shooting his little brother by accident, is good, but a little overshadowed by the main plot...

Alexx in the court-room, blackmailing H into doing exactly what Clavo wants, the chase to look for the missing girl and....the shooting...Really, this was awesome action-wise and emotionally. 'Eric', H's last word before the .....argh.'to be continued'...was hard to watch..

10/10 points for this one. can't wait until part two.
  • An armed Truck carrying guns to be melted down is attacked and the guns stolen. It was a plot by Clavo to excape imprisonment. The team works to figure out Clavo's next move. As they do that, Eric was shot. First in the leg then in the head.

    "Perfect"
The show was awesome. I loved it! I just I didn't expect Eric to get shot in the head. I saw him get shot in the leg but I cried when he got shot in the leg. I can't wait until next week. I just hope that Eric doesn't die. I will be so sad. I would still watch the show but it will not be the same without Eric. I love Eric. The show is just not the same without him. I was surprised by the fact that Clavo planned all of this. I just hope they find him and Eric lives. I can't wait until next week, I hope the episode is just as good.
  • NEVER SAW THAT COMING I have the episode info for next weeks episode if anyone wants 2 know just ask

Boy did they keep that quiet. I did not see that coming !! How many people will H have to see killed-I really feel bad for him. Everyone he has cared for has been shot & killed right in front of him. I can't get over how they kept that so quiet. WOW !!!! I wonder why Eric wants off the show-Contract dispute-Just wanted to do something more ? "Bigger-better things"? I haven't heard anything about him wanting off or doing other things.ANYBODY ??

MAN I did NOT see that coming !!!
  • In a turn of events, Horatio Caine finds nemesis Clavo Cruz in yet another one of Miami's crimes when a weapons truck is over-turned. With his vengeance as high as always, Clavo hits a personal note and put the life of a hostage and a CSI at risk.

    9.6
    "Superb"
Wow, just wow. I reeaally didn't expect for Eric to actually be close to death.

I think that every CSI should have a turning point, which I thought this would be for Eric, but it's insane how they may have killed him. It's not a definite, and I know that as an Eric fan I should keep hope, but the chances are slim.

The storyline itself was kind of overshadowed by the shooting itself, but I love recurring characters, and Clavo Cruz's escape was brilliantly put together (including the court scene). As for next week and its preview, the producers sure did leave everyone hanging. I guess we'll have to just check in next week.
  • OMG! Say it isn't so! My man is down. Eric is too fine to leave the show. Somebody needs to give him CPR and get his butt back to work!!!!!

I love CSI Miami. It always has plenty of action and a great story line. I like all the characters, especially H. and Eric. They always get there guy. Eric cannot die, he just can't!!!! The show will NOT be the same without him on it. Klavo, you are going down~!!~
  • A guarded truck delivering confiscated weapons scheduled for melting was unexpectedly attacked through an elaborate ploy devised by Clavo to break out of imprisonment and escape. Horatio and his team gathers all the clues to guess Clavo's next move.

    7.0
    "Good"
The writer gets major points for Clavo's elaborate escape plan by involving so many in his scheme, however I'm taking off major points for lowering the team's usual intelligence and resources to do it. Horatio's action by calling the hostage's phone without triangulating the signal first was stupid, not calling for more backup than Erik so they can help searching for the girl in that big garage was stupid, the various stuff-ups made me wonder if all the law enforcements in Miami was on a holiday.

The secondary plot was so weak that it was better off dead anyway, but whoever wrote Ryan's lines was really lame. The boy killed his own brother with a gun he found in a trash can and Ryan said, "...you're probably just scared."? That's a total joke! As a cop he should know that the boy is also endangering himself by playing around with a weapon that may or may not be malfunctioned. The boy should get a smack on the head just for stuffing a gun down his trousers!
  • It was a shock to see Erick being shot in the head... we hope that they won't write him off because the show won't be the same without him...

    8.0
    "Great"
My husband and I are a big fan of CSI Miami. We really like watching every episode because of the nice chemistry of the casts. But last Monday's episode was a shock! We did not expect to see Erick being shot in the head and he looks dead! We hope that they won't write him off because the show won't be the same without him... they already "kill off" Spee and Marisol, and now Erick? If they continue writing off good characters in the show I won't be surprised if the show itself will be killed because less and less people will watch it...
  • Please say it ain't so!

Say it ain't so please as I will be so sad and really would miss Eric if he goes. Messing with H is one thing. But when you mess with either his family or friends, then you will really get it. H is really out for blood and will be out for blood I can smell as well as the others. Has H met his worst nightmare of all?
  • Oh Eric! Why horrible things keep heppen to you?

    8.0
    "Great"
This is the worst episode of CSI: Miami that I have seen since the first episode of the third season (when Speedle died) I really dislike the way they killed off main characters from any CSI series! Can’t they just make them leave or move to the other cities or departments instead? I hope they will not do this again.

Too bad, the murder of a boy could not get lots of my attention since this case seems to be too easy for the team to investigate. Personally, I do not see how necessary to add this part in this episode at all. Anyway, I was so excited through out this episode when Horatio met his old enemy like ex-Prince, Clavo Cruz until the end, poor Eric! We do not know whether Eric will be death or alive after this. I hope Adam Rodriguez is not leaving the show otherwise Eric will be gone for sure!

    "Perfect"
I had a pretty good idea that Eric and Alexx were going to be injured, but for Eric to be taken out quite like that, did not see that coming. At all. Having watched this show since Season One, I know Horatio is going to be out for blood, namely Clavo Cruz's blood, and I'm placing some heavy bets that the rest of the team are going to be right behind him.

Such as it is, I can't wait to see what happens next week. (Did I mention I hate two-parters?)
  • oh my god eric is shot and Clavo cruz is back, H is gonna kill someone i smell that. Great episode ever.

    "Perfect"
This episode was like the best ever !!!! Even Clavo cruz was great (in a bad way) but still great. he first scene a truck blows then 2 cops killed lead to a lot of weapon in the street, a poor boy killed who pretty messed up my Ryan but no one seems to saw it !!! Anyway the principal info of the night Eric got shot oh noooooooooooooo that scene was so painful i scream and jump on my couch , I saw the blood and i was oh my god noooooo i saw the spoilers but i didnt believe it because i knew he was shot in the leg and i thought that's it that's the only bullet then the second who came out of nowhere and just almost kill him !!! I cant wait for next week !!! I know he's not gonna die And i cant wait to see H VS Clavo its gonna be sooooo good !!!!
  • Wasn't expecting that. :( Liked the story overall, but the ending blew my mind. Did NOT see it coming.

    8.3
    "Great"
At first I didn't get the significance of the whole Cruz thing, but I soon figured it out. However, I never--never--would have imagined that Eric would be shot. If he dies, I just don't see that the show will be as good. Don't want to see him go. I like Wolfe, but he can't take Eric's place.

I would have liked to see more "evidence", as I think this episode was lacking some. Why did they wait until the end to see where the shot was fired from on the little boy? And are guns really transported so carelessly through the streets?

Anyway, I will definately tune into next week's episode to see what happens. Is anyone really such a rock as Horatio? His wife dies and he goes on like nothing. One of his top CSI's is pronounced dead and he very smoothly and calmly says take him to the hospital and keep trying? Oh well.
  • Above average script - - to many special effects and a filler

    8.6
    "Great"
I enjoyed this episode to a point. I like the plot twist of Clavio Cruz's return and H's struggle to bring him to justice. However, I've always felt that the writers of CSI: Miami need to focus on the characters and the scripts and stop worrying about the special effects (stop blowing stuff up - it's not always necessary). I was disappointed about them shooting yet another CSI team member. I think they have injured/killed enough characters. Tim's dead, Ryan's eye (yes it wasn't fatal, but his eyesight is critial to his job.) now Delko. They even injured Alex in last night's episode, after they blew up the court house. If the actors want to leave the show, just write them off (i.e have them quit the force, transfer to another city) something other then physically harming them.
  • WOW! Never saw that coming!

    9.0
    "Superb"
WOW! I mean WOW! I never thought I would see an episode like this one. The whole Clavo thing at first was a yawn.. A been there done that storyline, but the ending was insane! Eric Shot! Shot in the leg we all saw coming, but that second shot. I thought for sure would have killed him. Next weeks teaser was still unclear on if he makes it out or not.

The secondary stryline was so sad. that poor girl working herself like crazy to keep her family intact & the accidental shooting of her younger brother. How that boy is supposed to live with what happened is beyond me. I have been blowing off this installment of the CSI series, but I will definitely be tuning in next week.
  • A 2-part episode involving the ever annoying Clavo.

    8.0
    "Great"
I am a big fan of CSI: Miami (even though nothing can compare to the orginal) but I was slightly disappointed in last night's episode. The acting seemed to be straight out of some B-movie. David's acting was less than stellar... I don't know what was going on in the episode. The colors seemed extra bright and annoying - and again, what was up with the acting!?!?! When Alex asked "H" what was going on after the explosion she appeared to be struggling to get the sentence out, but then a minute later she was barking orders about rushing the guy with the blood in his ears over the hospital ASAP because he might have internal bleeding. Speaking of Alexx, what is up with her crazy weave?

I must say though that I enjoyed the action of it all. The explosions and the thrill of the chase were on par as usual. Seeing Eric get shot freaked me out because Horatio wasn't calling for help (OFFICER DOWN!!!) only to see him get shot in the head was more than shocking. I am looking forward to next week to see what happens. Hopefully the acting improves by then.
  • An amazing epsisode that involves an old nemises (Clavo Cruz)from the shows continuing arc.

    9.5
    "Superb"
All I can say is wow. I have missed the earlier episodes of this season but know most of the backstory as I have watched the previous seasons. This epsiode involved Horatio's previous nemises, Clavo Cruz, who has escaped from prision and orchistrated an attack on Horatio and his

fellow CSI. The ending to this epsidoe will leave you in shock. This epsidoe was well put together. The actors all gave us amazing performances and the writing was excellent. I don't want to spoil this amazing episode so i will leave it at that. Anyone who follows the series and happened to miss this epsiode needs to watch it!
  • May bring tears to your eyes for who gets shot, but doesn't bring a lot more to the table.

    9.0
    "Superb"
Being that this is part one of two this is only half of a review. Hopefully the second half is a bit better. The gun hiest was well executed, but why were the weapons shipped with ammo? At the beginning of the show the guys were clearing the weapons before packing them up. You can't go to the local gun shop and buy ammo for a LAW. Also the kid found a loaded pistol and shot his brother by accident. They turned on the tear factor by shooting the poor little kid and then hitting Delco. Wolfe showed his tender side, eyes watering up a couple times, as he talks to the family and investigates the scene of the kids death. Leaving us to wait a week to find out if the neck shot Delco will live or die. This is a great show overall, but they seem to get to the point a little fast anymore and want to try new film techniques out. They need to fatten up the plot because they have been a little lean lately.
