CSI: Miami

o wow, this has got to be the worst episode ever. it's anti- american! As soon as i saw this i was disgusted. They make the illegal immigrants look like the good guy and the AMERICANS themselves look like the bad guys. Do you know why they are the bad guys it's because they are here illegaly turning our country into United states of Mexico. If you immigrants want to live in America great!! but come here legally, for one so we can actually understand you. for two you can learn to respect this country, and last we will respect you for respecting us. GOD BLESS AMERICA!! And for you illegal immigrants go back to your country, because obviously you don't want to be here if your not becoming legal and we don't want you here either!

Let's remember folks, America is the great melting pot. This country was established by those from other countries. Many accents, many cultures, and many faiths were brought here by our ancestors.



Anti-hispanic beliefs were hit hard in this episode. Delko and Yelina are both battered by suspects who see them as the unwanted foreigner. It is interesting to see how each reacts. Horatio certainly finds it offensive.



It is an 'in-your-face' episode. From the divers finding the bodies on the rope to the bombing of the convenience store...the show makes the audience sit up and take notice.



It is an issue that we need to continue to address.

I liked this episode so much because it showed how big racism can be even when we like to think it isn't. The truth is that racism is our daly bread. I loved the part when a guy s being interrogated by Horatio and Yelina and the guy says: "I'll answer you when you learn to speak English." That was so in my face since I'm a Latina and he was obviously critizicing her accent. Then they show Horatio's face and it was just "Oscar worthy". Another part that I liked was when the "tienda" of an old man was shot down: I believe the detective and Eric are having an argument about how the old man should have known English by now and maybe this wouldn't have happened. And then Eric asks him: "How's your Spanish?" The detective had to admit that it was a little "edgy". That was genius. I remember having felt great after seeing this episode. Really a mind-opener for some people.

The team probes a piracy taken place off the coast. A scuba diver felt something pulling on him and found 5 bodies tied together. It was thought to be piracy. But they haven't confirmed it yet. At least one more body is on the sea floor. 9 men was originally on the boat, but only 2 survived. The men ate the guys leg to stay alive. A rocket is shot and almost kills H and them. The man leaves the rocket behind b/c he hit his eye with it. the student did everything for the money and one of the survivers made the dead boy on the raft drink sea water to kill him so he could eat him.

This one\'s a bit of a rollercoaster. We start off with the discovery of the bodies of the crew of a fishing boat, all tied together and drowned (and certainly not looking their best). This leads us to the boat\'s owner, who might be doing something shady on the side, but he notes that only six bodies were found and the crew had nine people.



The rest are found in a raft, two alive one dead - and it looks like we might have one of the survivors as going cannibal on his friend.



Even more surprising - the pirates seem to have an agenda of their own and a whole lot of weapons.



It\'s clever the way the story veers from piracy to racial supremacy issues. And it is extremely eerie to see the racists in action. As an Englishman, I particularly like the way one of them quotes the \'right to bear arms\' as an excuse for having rocket launchers. I really can\'t understand that kind of thinking.



I also can\'t understand the reasoning of the kind of people who would attack others simply because they look different, speak a different language, have different customs etc. What a lot of work it is to hate. If they spent half as much time on getting to know people, we\'d have a lot fewer problems.



The ending to this one is right for the episode, but it is a bit cheesy. Not bad overall though.

I like CSI Miami. It is a serious show not a comedy but each time it is worth watching for the “ethic” always hidden behind the plot(s). In this episode the writers point a finger to racism. Discrimination is found everywhere, even a little bit in Frank Tripp… We should all be very careful in our personal judgments. If we start tolerating discrimination based on color, race, origin or religion we end up like the Nazis… At the end of this episode, the pinheads finish off behind bars and the smarter one (i.e. Frank) finally gives a hand to repair the Cuban food store! That’s the way it should be. Please give us more episodes like this one.
