This episode has caused me to stop watching this show. I'm now back into the original CSI. It's not so negative and tragic, it has more humour and the only people who die are the "victims" that are supposed to. I don't understand why you would begin something you don't bring to completion. It feels like Horatio just USED this sick woman for sex, he never really loved her. He is no longer the Hero in my eyes, SHE IS. She wanted marriage, a baby, a life....she got nothing! It's a mistake to think his having a wife (and even a child) would minimize his character. On the contrary, it actually enhances it, makes him more believable and human. I thought she was pretty, both inside and out, honest, brave, compassionate, everything I USED to think he was. I can't stand watching him anymore, especially with other women, it feels like adultry even though she's dead. It's just bad writing, a poor storyline and I can't even believe it comes from the same writers as the original.moreless
This is probobly the best episode of any of the csi's it was a sad finish but it was a great episode i dont know how the people can rate this episode 1 and 2 , really what is wrong with it there have been some much much worse episodes.in the courthouse where they got the gun and shot up the courtehoouse set the tone for the rest of the episode it was alot better then the second part of this two parter it is another examole why the csi franchise is so awesome hope to see more of these episodesmoreless
The episode starts with Marisol and Horation in an ambulance and the Mala Noche gang stop them. That's so sad because Horatio and Marisol just married last episode, right?
Poor Delko, his ex-girlfriend Gloria, tries to "vanquished" every woman who is near to Delko, and thought that Marisol is his wife!! Wow.
However, Marisol died, and Eric and Horatio want to seek revenge to the Mala Noche gang member--Antonio Riaz. This episode is probably one of the best episode in this season, one of the highest ratings in CSI: Miami I've ever rate. But the writers can do better, especially for Ann Donahue, I thought she is the creator of this series.moreless
The "Mal Noche" gang trial turns bad when a diversion is created by the witness and the defendant goes free. One of Delko's ex-lover, Gloria, is intimidating all the women he is close to. After Natalia and Marisol's car windows are thrashed, Eric warns Gloria to back off..
Later on, Eric and Marisol are shot. At first they thought it was Gloria but then finds out that it was actually the Mal Noche gang. As the ambulance transporting Marisol is on its way to the hospital, it gets blocked by a car of the gang members. A shooting between the gang members and Horatio occurs. On another note, how can Horatio be so calm when Marisol, his wife and the woman he loves got shot?? I mean, come on!! He doesn't show any emotions even after Marisol dies in the hospital! The story plot was not too bad, but Horatio's lack of emotions made this episode lose its dynamic.moreless
Firstly, someone has referred to Horatio marrying a sick girl, but I thought she was supposed to be in remission? I must admit for this storyline to be more believable they needed to be married for longer - it was hard to feel the pain, when the character hadn't been around for very long - it would have been nice if we could have seen some evidence of her making Horatio a happier person, then we would have had more empathy for his loss. I don't agree it brought Eric and Horatio closer, or healed any rift - Eric had already accepted the marriage and Horatio keeps a little distance between all of his team anyway - even though he looks out for them. The whole storyline was created so we can have a confrontation between Horatio and Eric and their enemies later on but there were many other ways of doing this...it would have been more believable if Yelena, or Ray junior had been murdered, actually. Still, I must confess I loved the part where Horatio takes out the would be ambushers "stay down..Stay down.." ...Classic H!moreless

Mala Noche
This gang is clearly allusive to the well known criminal organization known as Mara Salvatrucha. This is a Los Angeles-based, predominantly Salvadoran, gang that is also active in Central America. Although the gang was made by Hispanic people, now also includes African-Americans and occasionally Caucasian members. They're called also "MS-13", "MS", "posse" and "Maras". Here, The members of Mala Noche are often called "Malas".
