A security guard is found dead after shots ring out at a rap star's concert and the CSIs must investigate. Rap star 10-Large won't talk to the police regarding the murder or why someone would try to kill him. But when evidence suggests that perhaps 10-Large's bodyguard was the intended target, the CSIs must look into the dangerous world of personal security. Meanwhile, Alexx gets the shock of her life when a supposed cadaver from a recent car accident wakes up in her morgue, suffering only from hypothermia.moreless
  • CSI:Miami - Rap Sheet One of the best episodes of CSI: Miami. This episode needs more air time because it may help to minimize gang activity if viewed enough by prospective and active gang members.moreless

I have watched this episode twice now and I just can not get enough. I wish they would show it more, like they do the other episodes. It is an older episode, but perhaps the message within might deter some of the "want to be gang bangers" from moving into that type of life style. I keep hoping that it will be aired over, and over and over again.

All of the actors did such a fabulous job. It seemed as though you were living the drama.

The actor Xzibit is a fine actor and his charisma draws you into the scenes. I hope that he will become a permanent addition to the CSI cast one day. Xzibit would truly be an asset to this series, especially since he will now have the experience of being cast as an agent in the new X-files movie.moreless

    "Great"
This episode was pretty boring it reminded me of the latest episode of CSI Las Vegas Popin' Tags (yes I know this came first but I did watch Popin Tags before I got the chance to watch Rap Sheet).

I found the case of the woman suffering from Hypothermia & waking up in the morgue giving everyone a scare more interesting, but also has been done before on CSI Las Vegas.

    • Out of loyalty, XZIBIT agreed to appear in this episode as a way of paying back composer Jeff Cardoni who wrote and sang the theme to XZIBIT's auto-repair series Pimp My Ride. Cardoni scored the original music in this episode along with partner Kevin Kiner.

    • Goof: In the scene where Speed and Delko are in the lab looking at the broken bottle, Speed puts on red glasses and shuts off the light. When he is done, he takes off the glasses turns on the light and the glasses are suddenly on his face again (and he takes them off again).

  • QUOTES (13)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Speed: If Veronica's so innocent, why did she try to dump the body?

    • Eric: If the evidence is equivocal, we've got to go with the only witness. Speed: Yeah, the other one's dead, that helps.

    • Speed: Amnesia huh? That's pretty convenient... maybe she's got an evil twin we can interrogate. Eric: Look she has a concussion, memory loss is common. Speed: It'll all come back to her once she gets an attorney.

    • (Frank and Calleigh reenact the concert shooting) Calleigh: Can you be my bodyguard? Det. Tripp: Only if I can call you Whitney.

    • 10 Large: (checking Calleigh out) Damn! Nice cakes! Calleigh: Oh!... charming.

    • (One of the bodies in morgue freezer comes back to live) Alexx: It's Alexx, are there any Rescue units in the building? I need a crew in the autopsy theater immediately, I've got a live one.

    • (Horatio and Det. Tripp question a suspect) Horatio: How did you get your name? Thugg-G: Thugg-G? Horatio: Yes Thugg-G: Yeah, you know I did some major dirt back in the day, but it's in the past you know, I did my time. Horatio: And you're about to do some more. Det. Tripp: I'm pretty sure you're aware "10 Large" has a restraining order against you Mr. G, and you violated it. Horatio: Welcome home.

    • (Speed and Eric discuss a rap magazine) Eric: ...Yeah, but he's just talking trash, in the business it's all about the streets. Speed: Right, you've got to keep your pimp hand strong.

    • (Speed and Eric are collecting the crowd's cell phones) Crowd Girl: Don't you need a warrant of something? Speed: Yeah, if you want it locked in evidence for 3 years. Eric: Or you can just give it to us for 3 hours, your choice. (the girls hands over her phone) Crowd Girl: Ok, but what am I supposed to do for 3 hours? Speed: I don't know, stop talking?

    • Horatio: I notice there's mmm... blood on your jacket. Bodyguard: It's a busy afternoon. Det. Tripp: Yeah, your client got shot, nice work.

    • (A shooting has occurred at a rap concert) Alexx: You know rap? Horatio: No, but I know wrap sheets, and Dwayne (the rapper's name) has a criminal past. Alexx: He assured me that he was fine, refuses treatment. Horatio: Interesting... Frank, any witnesses? Det. Tripp: What's left of the audience, we're holding on to them, but a couple dozen people fled the scene. Horatio: Flying bullets will tend to do that, won't they? Is Mr. Large (the rapper's artistic name) talking? Det. Tripp: Not to the cops. Horatio: Ok, but the press is fine. Det. Tripp: Yeah, no doubt this little incident will push his release to number one. Horatio: Yes, number one... with a bullet.

    • Horatio: Dispatch said there were two victims… Alexx: More if you count the guy's ego.

    • Horatio: Craig, fingerprints are like old habits… they die hard!
