  • As the 7th season begins, the team is more determined than ever to find Horatio's shooter.

The episode begins from the end of the 6th season. Horatio is shot. We are shown that he is carried in a body bag away from the airport. Wolfe is the first on the scene. Calleigh and Eric show up a few minutes later. Ryan tells that H is dead. After the shocking season 6 finale, I was dying to see this episode. It was not so good, because the "assasination" was staged. So I was disappointed. I'm glad that H did not die. Anyway, an episode worth of seeing.moreless

This episode was well written and had a good storyline. In the first section after Calliegh said "we find out who did this, we find out" it went straight the scene of Ryan on his phone reading a message saying it was done i immediately suspect the shooting to staged by Ryan. Also the part before the theme where Ryan told Calliegh and Eric H was dead made me believe that he was really dead. Overall i was pleased with the quality of the episode and how tht Season 6 finale connected with the Season 7 premiere it was fantastically well writtenmoreless

  • Predictable but great none the less!

Did anybody really believe that Horatio Caine was dead? The answer is no. And it is answered about 10 minutes into this predictable seventh season premiere of CSI: MIAMI. The season begins with Horatio's body apparently being taken off in the M.E's truck and the team arriving on the scene. We soon learn (although we probably already knew!) that Horatio's death was just a plan to fool the people who wanted him dead. There are multiple good points of this episode: the return of Yelina Salas, loads of action (involving a shootout situation and a blowing up boat). But there is also the usual CSI MIAMI Horatio-characteurisms, and a lame ending!moreless

In this episode of CSI Miami the following happens. We open this H's body being taken away after he has been murdered. Calliegh and Eric learn that Wolfe is involved. When they confront him he admits that H is still alive. It was all planned out, by Ryan, H and another officer. The team work hard to help H, out of his situation. H learns that the bullets are still on the streets and goes after them. H goes after Ron and Ron's boat explodes with him inside of it. Eric tells H that they have searched everywhere but they have not yet found Ron's body.moreless

I told alot of people that H was just playing possum. How better to cath the guy that wants you dead than to be dead. I love these plot twists with fake deaths. CSI:Miami did it in a previous ep with H's brother and it was great. It was great this time. But, you also saw how mush H's team really cares about him because they were on the ball ready to string someone up for the death of their beloved leader. I also believe that the bad guy from this ep is not dead. I think he will pop up in a later ep this season. This was a great season premier.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • While explaining how he helped fake Horatio's death, Ryan states that the medical examiner was an ATF plant. But Dr. Wellner was actually the fill-in medical examiner in the previous episode, before Horatio had even met Agent Caldwell and concocted the fake shooting. Edit
    • Jose Zuniga who plays Juan Ortega in this episode, plays Detective Cavaliere on CSI, and has played a Detective on the original CSI since the forth season. Which is kind of ironic, because in this episode he plays a hard criminal, then on CSI, he puts away hard criminals. He also appears in an episode of CSI: Miami's first season playing Carl Galaz. Edit
    • Calleigh is the only one on the team that doesn't see Horatio alive. Ryan knows the plan and Eric meets with Horatio but Calleigh doesn't. Edit
