    • When Scott shoots his stepfather outside the crime lab, Natalia and Ryan hear the shot and spin round, after which follows a 'frozen time' camera shot leading out of the lab to where Scott is holding the gun with the bullet still in midair. It would have to be the slowest bullet ever for it still to be travelling that long after it was fired.
    • Continuity error: When Yalena and Horatio are trying to locate Ray Jr., she goes to to put the GPS device in Horatio's left hand, but then the shot cuts and you see him taking it with his right.
    • Goof: During the initial scenes of the episode, were Riaz runs into Horatio outside the police station, a bus passes by and Horatio disappears behind the bus. The bus didn't really go between Riaz and Horatio, it passed to one side of them, the camera angle made the disappearing trick possible, plus there was a blue car in between Horatio and Riaz.
    • When Horatio sends the scan of the leaf via PDA to the lab in Miami from Rio, there is a "CSI Shot" zooming out of Brazil and into Miami from a satellite's point of view. However, the zoom out of Brazil seems to originate from around Recife, a city near the equator, which is over 1,500 miles northeast of Rio de Janiero, where Horatio and Eric are supposed to be.
    • Natalia Boa Vista has become a CSI, and is currently being reluctantly trained by Ryan.

    • Cooper: You know it suits you. Calleigh: What? Cooper: Being boss. Calleigh: It's temporary. Cooper: Okay, Lieutenant Duquesne. Calleigh: The payscale'd be nice though.
