CSI: Miami

This is, again, another testament to Horatio's character. Although he is focused on solving the crime, he is also genuinely concerned about a teen boy who was assaulted after a Miami Heat game while trying to protect his mother. Well, "H" is also a role model by trying to help the boy's mother to keep her hopes up for the healing of her son. He finds out who did it and solves the case (as usual) but takes it a step further by staying at the hospital as much as he can to make sure that the boy survives and that the mother has hope. I think we all find out that "H" has faith in God when we see, in the last scene, that he notices that the boy has a necklace with a cross on it in his hands. He tells the mother to go and get something to eat at the hospital cafeteria while he stays at his bedside to watch over him while she finally goes and gets something to eat. Just another fine example of how Horatio has sympathy (or even empathy because he lost his brother)for someone who is a stranger in a bad circumstance.

The story line about speed dating is quite a web. One woman is angry because a man that she thinks is her boy friend and wants a future with her is actually speed dating for easy sex.



This same woman has an ex-husband who is jealous of her dating. He left her after having three children together. She still looks great, but he seeks other woman.



Low and behold, one of the other guys at the speed dating event is linked to the seriously injured man from the basketball game. It is a very tangled web, but Horatio still has a chance to have a tender moment with the worried mother and the injured son.



A good episode.

A night of speed dating gone bad. his car was vandalized which shows personal murder. She admits to pouring acetone on his car to prove her point b/c he dumped her to get back with his ex. He also stole from his past date and they got into a fight. A speed dater (male) was the one who broke into her appartment and stole her sterio. She told everyone everything. Robert was a witness to an assualt and sent in his statement to the police. He died trying to call the cops. The first woman's ex killed him. . .
