There really isn't much to say here that has not been said by the many other reviews of this episode posted here. However I just wanted to weigh with in my thoughts on what I think is the best episode of CSI: Miami this season (and in a very long time too). After seeing so many dull and mediocre episodes of this show, I keep asking myself why I bother to spend time watching CSI: Miami. When I see an episode like this one, I have an answer to that question. Emily Proctor has never been better. An excellent episode.

  • Poor writing, poor delivery.

I think all viewers are able to forgive all of the CSI franchise for the lack of detail and procedure applied when attending a crime scene. I'm referring, obviously, to the team turning up in their party glamourous party clothes with their hair flapping in the wind and their mouths not covered, all of which would totally contaminate the crime scene.

But this is Hollywood and it's a TV show that has to take liberties when cramming in all of the facts into a 50-minute show. So this is forgivable.

What is so lame is how the perps now are giving themselves away. No sooner are they in the detention room and see Horatio's sad-fact face, then they are overwhelmed by grief, guilt and remorse. "Look, OK, it happened like this," says one of the criminals. Thank God he gave us the plot-line, there was only 5 minutes to go.

Also, how many drug dealers and gang members would show remorse for their crime. None is the answer. And definately not in front of the police.

The writing on this show now is lame and basically poor. Even giving the show some leeway on the blindingly obvious errors for star quality and time restraints, the show lacks credibility almost from start to finish.

One of the better episode of this season

Finally we get something more from Emily's character than the usual flirtation with the cop.

This episode is exciting and thou i have already guessed that her judgment is correct, it's great to follow through and see that the evidence proves her innocence. It's also a nice twist when they found out later she was not to be blame on the death of the school teacher. It's good to see it being linked to drug trafficking and illegal distribution by another fellow teacher (oops spoilers ;)). Let's hope there's more 'good episodes' that are on par with this, up ahead.
  • Oooh, H. being a good daddy to the whole depraved young part of the world again... gets a bit boring. He's better with Kyle, where is he, by the way?!

This time we get to see Calleigh acting like a Superwoman, jumping, shooting and making all the charms needed in a distress situation. At first I couldn't believe in what she was doing and kept asking myslef 'Is that for real? is that really happening?!'. And again for a second I fell for what the TPTB were suggesting that she made a mistake and overreacted but as always the Blond Bullet Girl turned out to be brilliant, haha. The fairy tale called CSI Miami, I love you so much...

By the way, the car accident -- driving in a shop window reminded me of the French movie 'Taxi'. I wonder if the Americans watch French movies, surely the Europeans do!

Also, what struck me, is that the Dave-guy looked suspicious to me from the first moment I saw him. He was like a Devil incarnation. Perhaps was it something in his eyes... or a face.

And almost no Jake in this episode. Good. And weird how upset she seemed to be as she found out that it was Jake, not Delko, to save her career from Stutler, haha.

Time for an action-packed episode for one of the main characters of the show. Unfortunately, the episode isn't the best one CSI:Miami could offer its viewers.

As always, whenever one of the good guys is in trouble, then, it turns out he or she was the victim of the episode and didn't do anything wrong. Not that refreshing for a show like CSI:Miami after six years. This time, was Calleigh's turn to be the one in troubles throughout the episode. Not only Calleigh Duquesne drank, she was ready to drive and she shot in the middle of the street not paying attention whether there was someone else on the street. What if a kid had passed by when she unloaded her gun? What if someone else had been mortally wounded by one of Calleigh's bullets? I really wonder what would have happened in this case, but, then again, I'm pretty sure that she wouldn't have had to pay for her actions with IAB since her "time off" last more or less 30 minutes.

As much as a person can adore Calleigh Duquesne, it is pretty impossible to say she was right during this episode. If she really was the good person she claims to be, she wouldn't have drank, she wouldn't have shot in the middle of the street and she wouldn't have interfered with the investigations, no matter what Alexx told her about the field.

The rest of the episode was kind of lame, not only because of Calleigh's actions or Eric and Jake's behaviour, but also because of the whole storyline behind Calleigh's attack. It was one of the most inconsistent episodes of the show, not to mention that it was full of silly mistakes like the whole left and right concept which was screwed up at the beginning.

Such a shame, also because Emily's acting was brilliant throughout the episode.
  • Calleigh's life and career are put on the line when her life is treatened.

This episode was one of the better, in my opinion. Its starts off with an upbeat song, and action. Unfortuantly, when we get more into this episode Horatio tends to take over and Calleigh is apeared less and less. Overall, a good episode; charcter development plays a tiny role also. Calleigh and Eric's 'relationship' ceratinly grows in this episode as she leans into his comfort and expresses her inner emotions to him. From the start, when the male teacher is first introduced, I had a feeling he was involved somehow. But, it came as a twist to find that he as the one who actually commited the murder. 8 out of 10.
  • Calleigh stands her ground when she is forced into figh-or-flight mode.

Calleigh Duquesne is known for being the ballistics expert and you rarely ever see her pull out her gun. In this episode, Calleigh is forced into fight-or-flight mode after walking by a shoe store seconds after a murder occurs inside. When the murderers go after Calleigh, she's forced into fight-or-flight mode in which instinct takes over. The result causes her credibility to come into question when a car crashes through a storefront window and into a civilian. Horatio and the rest of the crew work to try and restore Calleigh's credibility while uncovering a potential drug ring in a middle school. Definitely worth a watch if you can catch it the next time it airs.
  • Indeed Calliegh is standing her ground!

I love CSI Miami as it has become my first favorite show of the CSI shows as it is more character focused. Las Vegas is like Law & Order focused while NY is balanced between both shows. Calliegh, who is my favorite up there with H, in characters. Really got a good show today. As she would be losing her job and possibly her freedom as she was after a serial killer. Shows that she is a strong woman who stood up against the IAB and prove that she was really, very capable of doing her job well. Meanwhile, why have the producers and writers are making Ryan such a whiner is beyond me. Make him more likable again. Hate it that they are making Ryan such a jerk.
  • Calleigh is forced to discharge her weapon, someone ends up dead and the investigation begins...

This week the CSI: Miami writers pulled out their best weapon to try and make up for the terrible season so far: Calleigh. Well, it worked!

For the first time since the Speedle episode, I was glued to the TV from start to finish. Calleigh is a pleasure to watch and the plot returned to what makes the CSI franchise great: an interesting criminal investigation. The episode had everything - fast cars, tons of shattered glass, gunplay and murder. And that was just the first 30 seconds! This episode was multi-layered and fast paced. I had no idea how it was going to end.

It was evident CSI: Miami went back to basics this episode. Wolfe even failed to annoy me. I hope this begins a trend that continues because this season certainly needs more episodes like this.
  • Calleigh Centric - Exactly what the show needs.

For the first time since I can remember I was so looking forward to this episode. I absolutely love Emily Proctor and her getting the full focus was long over due. The girl is seeing some action finally. I loved Calleigh standing her ground with both IAB and Jake. I thought it was great the team standing by Calleigh. Not that that was a surprise. One of my favorite scenes was Calleigh and Alex in autopsy room. Alex putting what was best for Calleigh first. Which was letting her know that the teacher was dead before the car hit her. Essentially taking some weight off of her shoulders. Jake going to Eric proved interesting. A positive thing to say the least. The school teacher conducting her own drug investigation was a little far out. I think one of the things I like about this episode was you barely realized the Horatio was in it, the rest of the team seemed to have everything under control. But as always he turns up at the end to help save the kid in trouble. This aspect of H's personality is starting to annoy and get creepy.
  • What we've all been waiting for at last!

I can't begin to describe how happy I was to hear that they were finally going to have one of those epic episode about Calleigh! I can truthfully say I was hyped up for this episode, and that I wasn't dissapointed when it came around. First of all, I thought the car/shoot-out scene was extremely well done, not to mention super cool! Finally they have given her title of ballistics expert a meaning outside the lab! It was treat to see what she could do in a unexpected life and death situation, rather than just tailing Horatio through a suspect's house as usual. The second aspect of the episode I really enjoyed was seeing another side of Calleigh. Normally Calleigh is a happy person, even when she gets annoyed she usually acts stern and never raises her voice. In this episode, however, she got genuinely angry and distraught to the point where she almost cried! It was not only refreshing to see Emily Procter's fabulous acting, but also to see that Calleigh is in fact only human. The plot of the episode was intriguing, however, I couldn't believe the kid Logan would actually deal drugs for a pair of shoes. That seemed a little bit absurd, even for CSI: Miami. All in all it was a fantastic episode and I'm hoping they have more like it in store for us!

It's about time I enjoyed a CSI Miami! Making it all around Calleigh was brilliant, something other than wimpering about Kyle, and lame plots! Calleigh is such a great character, and I love watching her stand up to the annoying brass. Facts are facts, but I guess that's why the CSI's are a seperate unit. How can anyone give out a fact that blood alcohol drops a certain % every hour, take a reading and then later come back with " you had 6 drinks?" Good for her to put them in their place. I like the little twist about the girl being dead before the car hit her. I was worried that we would be dealing with Calleigh's guilt the rest of the year, as the writers seem to run with things like that. I seem to be dissing a show I really enjoyed, which like CSI's season 6 has taken quite a turn. Back to the show... I loved the episode, and was glad to see the CSI's pull together to help out. Good CSI work, which is why I watch the show. Bravo!

I must admit this was one of the best episodes this season and for once it was not centered aroud Horatio. I'm pleased to see that thw writers are expanding on the charcters and thier work on this episode was very well done. I liked when she got feisty with her boss no to throw her to the sharks but believe in her due to her past experience and not just by what the circumstances showed. She showed the tru blue wall by not turning in her brunch mate who we find out had the 4 missing or additional drinls on her tab. Great job by all writers and cast.
