    • Horatio had less than half a minute to rescue Yolanda before the bomb went off. It was foolish of him to attempt to untie her hands, when he ended up picking her up and carrying her out anyway.
    • Hector Salazar's motivation for seeking out Horatio's help was because Horatio was the officer responsible for getting justice for another prison mate (Toby Allans), and proving that the killing that happened was in self-defense.

    • Horatio: Detective Tripp tells me you have information about the murder. Yolanda Ramoz: So how much do I get for telling you? Horatio: Ms. Ramoz, a man lost his life. Yolanda Ramoz: I understand that, Lieutenant, but I got my own life to worry about. Frank: Look, depending on where your tip takes our investigation, Crime Stoppers could authorize anywhere from fifty to a thousand dollars. Yolanda Ramoz: Really? (Horatio looks at the scared girl and nods in agreement)
    • Horatio: You were so happy in prison, Hector, you're on your way back. Hector Salazar: Back? No way. See this scar? Some skinhead shanked me while I was asleep. Don't want to go back to that zoo. Horatio: Why did you shoot Reverend Olvera? Hector Salazar: Reverend Mike? You kidding? Shooting a holy man is bad luck.
    • Hector Salazar: You can keep dogging me, but I saw the light. I'm reformed, Lieutenant. I'm walking proof the system works. Horatio: So am I, Hector.
    • Horatio: Okay Hector, what are the explosives for? Hector Salazar: I don't know yet, but whatever it is, it's big. That's why I came to you now. Horatio: Why me? Hector Salazar: There was this kid, when I was inside, killed a guy in his cell. Usually, no one cares if the animals eat each other. But this cop, he didn't look at it that way. Proved it was self-defense. That cop was you, Lieutenant. Horatio: Tobey Hollins. Hector Salazar: That's him. You gave him justice. So do you still see it that way? Horatio: (very softly) Don't disappoint me.
    • (Delco finds a match for the print on the murder weapon) Eric: It's Freddy Garcia. I just met him this morning at Reverend Olivera's house. He said he was getting his life straight. Calleigh: I guess once you're in, it's too hard to get out.
    • Horatio: What are you gonna do with the reward money? Yolanda Ramoz: Don't know. You got me thinking. Rev's place could use some new computers. I think they need the money more than I do. Horatio: Good for you, Yolanda. Yolanda Ramoz: Lieutenant, thank you. (Natalia and Horatio watch the neighbors rebuilding Rev's place) Natalia: This is why we do it, isn't it? Horatio: Yep … Yep. (Yolanda leaves to go help) This is exactly why we do it.

Tobey Hollins was a character in episode 4x04 48 hours to life, accused of killing a woman in a boat, sent to lockup, and then proved innocent. But, during a riot while he was in lockup, he killed another inmate, and the team proved it was in self-defense.
