  • While heading to work, a partner in an upscale law firm is run over by a motorist. Elsewhere, a man is shot and killed by a sniper in an outdoor restaurant. The crimes look unrelated initially, but Horatio soon learns the crimes are connected.

When I watched the opening scene of this episode I was reminded of the campy 1977 movie The Car starring James Brolin. That aside, I found this episode entertaining, but I do not consider it one of the better ones of the season. I think that the supporting characters (Especially Mr. Weaver) overacted in their roles here. I also didn't like how the episode ended. I didn't like how Horatio decided to conduct the arrest. One thing I did like is how it was mentioned that the MDPD refused to participate in the show Predators Among Us. I like that.

What could have been a good episode was ruined by two very stupid writer's mistakes:

1st: Ryan Wolfe interviews Hannah about the missing jewel on her fingernail, which was found in the rental car. He tells Horatio he cannot connect the jewel to Hannah so she is off the hook.

Later Delco and Ryan are in the lab where Delco relates to Ryan that Callie could not make the jewel connect to Hannah. Um, Ryan would already know this because he was the one who actually did the interview with Hannah, not Callie.

2nd: When Ryan & Delco go to the TV Studio to meet "Tiffany" they find out that "she" is actually a computer guy posing as Tiffany.

At the end of the show we find out that the same computer guy is a pedophile. Horatio immediately recognizes the guy from the TV Studio and even calls him by name - yet Horatio never went to the studio. How did Horatio know who the guy was having never met him?
  • Quite boring I would say. But maybe it's just my huge appetite for action being too huge after last few episodes.

I don't know what happend to the avi file I watched but I totally missed the ending, so I need to catch up on that as soon as possible, but the episode seems to be generally boring.

The topic of pedophiles does not make a good story for me. I know that it's a terrible thing they do, but don't get me wrong -- from all the shows on tv I watch, I can't recall one desent plot concerning them.

I just couldn't put the story correctly in my head. Everyone was spying on someone else, then killing them... then lying, pretending. I need to see it once again. And I know that Calleigh was quite a big topic lately, but I want to actually SEE her on screen. More Calleigh, please!
  • This one lawyer guy is run down by his daughter when she finds out that her dad is a pedophile so to protect her daughter the mom kills another guy that was caught on the same show as the dad so that the team will suspect a vigilante...

i didn't really like this episode but it was ok. I mean it probably is kind of difficult to come up with something amazing every time. this could have been alot better than it was though. They should have added some kind of twist or something to make it better. It really disappointed me when it wasn't as good as i expected. i don't stay up til ten to watch just any show... only my favorite shows!! This is number one but i really hoped this episode would be .better.

well i can't think of anything else to write.. oh well i have 100 words now...
  • This episode reminds me why I watch this show. No ships, just case, and a good one at that.

Probably the best episode I've seen in years. The killers were people we would never expect.

I was definitely with Eric when he said "A problem that took care of itself." The case was really good. It showed a reality that people usually try to ignore. Lots of twists and turns, which made me love it even more.

And the end...I don't know anyone that has seen this episode that wasn't blown away by the end. "You are resisting arrest...we'll see how long that lasts." Though I do not support what Horatio did, one has to wonder what cop (with a kid) wouldn't want to bet the crap outta that guy.
  • Does anyone know what the instrumental piece was during the opening scene? It sounded a bit operatic (chanting). It ran during the opening scene up to the CSI Theme song so if anyone has a clue as to the song/piece, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I loved this episode and thought it was fantastic! Horatio is, and will always be, "THE MAN"! You can always count on him to do the right thing no matter if it dips into the grey area at times. Say what you want, but in this episode, I can't think of any other reason H shouldn't have beat that guy to death (end scene). So rock on H! Keep up the good work! By the way, does anyone know what the instrumental piece was during the opening scene? It sounded a bit operatic (chanting), but it was very faint the majority of the time. It ran the entire opening scene up to the CSI Theme song, so, if anyone has a clue as to the song/piece, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
  • Because had the writers done their homework (or ever even VISITED the state of Florida) we do NOT have state tags on the front of our vehicles, unless it is a vanity plate of the owners' own choosing. What a STUPID mistake.

This show's premise was a really stupid mistake that could have been avoided by only having a rental car company plate in lieu of an official Florida State License Plate that we don't even have as a requirement not is one even available!!!

The directors and editors of these shows I cannot believe let get through, like red street curbing which is only found in and is unique to California. Some even show mountainous terrains in the background ("Drive")

I love the show, and the episode had be guessing until the very end, but these editing and continuity mistake are so very inexcusable!
  • For a Miami - Not too bad overall.

The script was ripped right out the headlines with the news report on pedophiles living out in the community and their access to young children through the Internet. Which is scary when you think of the people that can be involved. In this case you had a true pedophile, you had a lawyer, you also had a person like Durney who was supposed to be working on protecting these children, not looking for targets. The twist that I like was Kevin Weaver was using the chat room to indeed meet your girls, but to truly protect them and scare then with his daughter's story. I think Ryan's trying to impress someone. He's been wearing ties, and ugly ones, that rival Don Flack's. Horatio actually working evidence, that was different. I was also alarmed that Horatio has been taking justice into his own hands as of late. Based on this case, although the desire is understandable, I wonder about the justification. Example, Delko was not unbiased on this case at all, but manage to stay in control. I love Calleigh's talent of simply looking at a bullet and knowing without a doubt what type of gun it is, such a smart lady.
  • More of the same!!

    7.2
    "Good"
When we approach the end of the season, more of the same keeps coming... It looks like the writers are running out of ideas... A guy ran over by a car that broke his leg and cuts the fuel pipe and the fuel is really rare.... Too many coincidences, no?? To finish, they just happen to find a partial on a license plate so it makes it even easier to identify the car... What are the odds of this happening in real life?? One thing that I liked in this episode is the focus again on the pedophiles and on the hazards of the internet. It's something we can't live without, but we need to pay attention to its use by our children... I'm just not sure if the end is a good example to the police forces, but I would like to see some justice like that sometimes, because normal justice is not hard enough on these freaks....

Let's see what else is coming.....
  • The team must act quickly to stop a vigilante who is killing Internet predators.

Well, this wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was decent. this episode seemed like a filer. This episode wasn't even close to topping last weeks episode. this episode had no personal dealings in it. No one even asked how Calliegh was doing, after the being KIDNAPPED. I was rather disappointed in this episode. the plot was ok, but it did have a strong message. I think what is on a majority of the viewers mind is what is going to happen between Calliegh and Eric? After, the ending of the previous episode, many thought that something was going to happen, but CBS left us hanging dry, yet again. Also, I'm curious as to where Jake is. I mean is girlfriend was kidnapped/almost killed and nothing is shown about him. What the heck! Hopefully in the next episode, the viewers will have something to look forward to. I mean come on, they could have done a better job with the episode. At least give the hiphugger viewers a little hope. This next episode better be good or I might cry =(.

i luv this show gotta love CSI:MIAMI and the whols cast cant wait till next weeks episode.. sux they didnt show wat had happen to that guy at the eend would been even way better...still luv it though.. its wierd how men could chat online and try to meet young girls its just soo wrong and wantin to meet them in public not cool at all at it reminded me of the show DATELINE:HOW TO CATCH A PREDATOR.. its funny how HORATIO got all physical with the pedophile never seen that side of him before very heroic guy i would think
  • Has Horatio reached a breaking point?

    9.8
    "Superb"
While this episode reminded me of Dateline's now defunct To Catch A Preditor Series, the script was well balanced. Rarely have we seen how family members react when they learn that someone they love is a pedophile. The script also did a good job of showing us that someone we least suspect can be a pedophile and why it's important for parents to be more in tune with who their teens are chatting with online.

What I loved most about this episode was Horatio's reaction to meeting the pedophile at the end. While I can't condone his actions, we all have a breaking point and Horatio's seems to be with grown men who pry on teenage girls. While it isn't the first time we have scene Horatio get physical with a suspect, I hope that his vigilante action will have a consequence. Horatio's character has been through alot but no one should consider themselves above the law.
  • Gotta Love Horatio!

As there are some killers seeking out people and killing them for no reason whatsoever, you have got to love H and that he is one that won't take no for an answer no back down regardless of what happens. He is one that will stand up for the weak and will do anything, even sometimes bending the rules, in order to get the job done. Glad that the show is now back on track. Hate it that the lady that plays Alex will be leaving as she is one of my favorite characters on there. But other than that, this is Caruso's show despite not being a fan of his but with H, you just got to love him no matter what with his one-liners!
  • Now tell me David Caruso isn't the new Clint Eastwood "Dirty Harry."

Now tell me David Caruso isn't the new Clint Eastwood "Dirty Harry." I am beginning to like his new attitude. At least it is coming out in the show now. Didn't you love the way Horatio was taking off his watch while telling that jerk it was a bad week to be seeking out little girls. Oh I wonder what kind of shape he is going to be in the next time we see him. I even said "Make My Day" on that ending. Sometime you just have to bring that old Cop style of a fake resisting arrest back into the loop of things that are happening today. Bring it on gang. This was a great show.
