  • A right royal screw up

The officer under suspicion is nothing new in the world of CSI, its happened to Nick and Danny and probably a few others as well but its never been does as badly as what they did in this episode. Firstly why is Horatio or Hortios team even investigating the case? They're all biased. Why aren't the night or swing shifts investigating? Why aren't the dectectives keeping a closer eye on Horatio if he's under suspicion. Why did Horatio even go and confront the killer? Horato you think would be smarter tha this. Even though the judge unfairly wouldn't take the case further why isn't Orlando or wherever having the killer transfered to there? This episode was full of blunders. We haven't even seen the woman before. This was badly done, the major problem being we didn't even believe the idea that Horatio could of killed the woman. Unfortunate because episodes like this should be a non-stop rollercoaster
  • Hated the episode.

You could see the plot coming from a mile away. The judge at the end made you want to throw something at the tv. The guy walking free at the end was very annoying. I watch the show to see how they catch the bad guy. I hate that they have Eric using drugs. The show is heading for shark infested waters.
  • Saint H is human after all

I think this was the best episode so far on season 4. We saw that H has life... they brought up Yelina situation. Frank still kicks ass.

Even this (someone may say once again) was bit more H-centred episode. I liked it. I love Calleigh, I love Ryan. Eric... well, I've always disliked him.

But the story... I think it was great. Is there a man who is smarter than Saint H and his team? They showed something about, well I call it H's new background, which makes things intersting, especially when we wait for crossover episode with CSINY. And despite screwups CSIs did week earlier. They were great. Alexx, even with little screentime, has still great one-liners.

One unneccessary thing for this episode was to bring that damn judge back. Perhaps some other case, but not this one.

H has now Mal Noche after him, this judge and this serial killer. Did we actually had to bring him (judge) back? Writers have ignored _so_many_things_ what they could have kept in the show (like Det. Adell and Det. Salas) but no... they decide to take this back.

    Hmph.

Oh yes, despite disliking Delko - he gets storyline. Yay!

I really liked this episode, but I don't quite get why no one thought about the song! Thievery Corporation's Heaven's Gonna Burn Your Eyes! When Horatio's been put into a hoding cell by Stetler, he asks for Calleigh, and askes her to bring her kit. Calleigh: I can't believe Stetler put you in a holding cell.

Horatio: It's what he does, Calleigh.

Calleigh: Resden seems to be one step ahead of us at every turn, and you know that if the news gets this it'll look like there's blood on your hands when we know that isn't true.

Horatio: But there is blood on my hands.

Calleigh: That's why you asked me to bring the kit.

and in the background the song is playing and it says "...in my arms, I will catch you." when Calleigh swabs Horatio's hands.

Two teens went off the bridge and both friends survived. They found a woman in the river. It looked like someone was trying to frame Horatio because someone shot out the tire and Horatio was the last one to see the woman that was killed. They put a spike strip up to make someone go off the bridge right where the woman was located. The killer was believed to be one of Horatio's suspects in New York . The real killers name is Walter. He injured Horatio in New York. He was embarrassed by H because H let everybody know who he was.
  • A slow-starting episode which picked up pace about halfway.

This episode didn't start off too good. It was interesting to see Horatio in the role of suspect and how the others handled it, especially Tripp seemed to have a very hard time with it. But Horatio was far too involved in the investigation. Since when is a suspect allowed to witness the autopsy and get all the latest news on the evidence? I was also a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see the team stand on their own two feet without Horatio. I was hoping we would get to see what they had learned from last episode, but that didn't happen.

The episode picked up however when it seemed like they had Dresden. The scene with Horatio and Dresden at the construction site was really good, especially with the turns that the storyline took.

I also liked the fact that it didn't end on the high note I had expected. Sometimes cases aren't solved and sometimes criminals walk. The CSI shows (or any crime solving show for that matter) hardly ever show a case where the suspect goes free, so it was interesting that we got to see that in an episode like this.

Delko is starting to really bug me. He just won't give Wolfe a break. I thought it was pretty low of him to lecture Wolfe on worrying about personal issues when Horatio is a suspect, and then go off on personal errands himself. Don't ask of others what you don't do yourself.

All in all it was a good episode, but it had some annoying faults.

Horatio is indeed human after all as he must turn

In his badge and gun. You know how IAB Sgt Peters

Is after him and has been as he is the rival and nemesis of Horatio but H is unbothered by it.

As he has other issues that he must face and trusts that his team will be doing the right thing!
  • Wow what a episode!

Wow what a episode, Horatio is under suspision of MURDER!

You knew he didn't do it but it was exciting to see what was going to happen.

The professional that Horatio is, he follows procedure but I don't understand why he was still allowed to be around the lab when he is the suspect. (Even if he was "trusted")

It was a good episode to see a bit of Horatio's past. I would like to see some more episodes like that. Maybe even show a few of the other characters past also.

The constant good guy act can be a bit annoying and unbelieveable though.
  • What do you know, there is some humanity in Miami.

    "Good"
The interesting part of this episode is, surprisingly, Frank. The way he treats Horatio when he turns himself to the investigation is almost... pathetic. The questioning scene is just flat out hysterical, with Horatio calling all the questions and making him follow protocol. In the interrogation room scene, nice touch on Frank pulling the chair to sit beside Horatio, as to show a peer to peer level of conversation, instead of a confrontation between interrogator and suspect. The respect with which Franks handle Horatio is exactly the kind of thing that makes CSI (Vegas) so great, and that I find is lacking in its Miami spinoff: a chemistry between the characters, a level of comradery and appreciation for each other.

For me this wasn't one of the best episodes of CSI Miami.... Horatio overeacted in my opinion delivering in badge and gun right way.. and after he still kept on leading the team on the investigation... it was a little bit strange!

And also (but probably just me) I still cant understand what hell happened in NY... only that he quited the job to protect his partner :s

    I have seen much better.
  • Tell me , is H for real? The way he treated himself with this case is pathetic.

Look, I realy like the show, but this episode was realy humoristic.

H was so severe about giving away his badge and treating himself as a suspect although it was obvious he didnt do it..

Anyway, I hope they will have a good story this season because right know after H found out his brother is alive... Nothing can top that.

If you look for me, you can find me roll some dice in Las Vegas.

  • One of the better episodes of the season.

I think in the coming weeks we are going to find out alot more of what happened in New York. For Det. Tripp to think Horation had anything to do with Yelena being gone was wrong. Horatio trusted Callie to tell her what was going on, but with someone trying to frame him, he should have never went to that construction sight by himself. To bad he couldnt have dealt with another judge at the end.
  • At last, something is happening in Miami.

An actually good episode from Miami. Still the acting isn't that great but one step at a time right. So Horatio used to work in New York, eh? I wonder if he ever got to know Mac? Maybe, Mac was Horatio's partner and that is why he resigned. However, they would have probably mentioned it somewhere in the last crossover episode. Maybe they can mention it in the next one though.

Why does it always seem that Horatio gets personally involved. Why can't Delko? What was with Delko buying the drugs? Might just be setting up for another story somewhere down the line, foreshadowing and all that stuff. Anyway, mind the rambling and I would like to say that this might just be the best Miami episode since they killed Speed.

  • Took two plot lines from the first CSI and merged them into one plot line and came up with this story.

Took two plot lines from the first CSI and merged them into one plot line and came up with this story. Which isn’t a bad idea, but the two plots that they used are overused stereotypes plotlines that have a real nasty habit of showing up in Crime Dramas a little to much.

One of the plot line is that one of the team or the team leader is under suspicion of murdering somebody that was close to them, this happen to Horatio as well with Nick at CSI. Both of them have to rely on their team to clear their name. What I like with Nick’s case is the fact that he was told to stay out of the case and let his team to do work which is extremely realist, while over at CSI:Miami Horatio is allow to do basically anything that he wanted during the investigation. Why is Horatio allow to do something like this? I mean it wouldn’t be allowed and in fact Horatio should of went home during the entire case. If he did this then the case against his crime counter-part might of not been throw out in court by the judge that had threatened him last year that he would do something like this to him. Now he lives up to the threats.

The other over used plot is the returning of a serial killer that got away and coming back to continue his work or taunt the team leader. Again I do like these plot points because it shows that these characters are humans and that no matter what they can do a few of them will slip throw their fingers. When they get another crack at the person, they will do everything that is in their power to make sure that this person dose not get away again. But he seems to used a little to much of late in this current year and while this would of make a great episode for CSI:Miami if is was used at a different time, this episode just feels like a recopying of what other crime dramas have done in the past.
  • Key to both back and Forward story

Interesting look at some back story as well as the convoluted life that H lives. Also seems to alude to the need to know what science can be used against you in this series. The twists and turns induce those who ocasionally watch this show to tune in more often, and confirm why those obsesive ones are.
  • This was an awesome episode! It brought back many past references and it kept you thinking. This was different from so many other episodes in that they knew most of the way who the killer was, but they couldn't stop him, and had to prove it wasn't Horac

    9.7
    "Superb"
This episode was really important in terms of plot line. This episode brought out many previous events that are crucial to understanding what this show is all about. The corrupt judge at the end was quite angering, but I love how they bring things back. I hope this isn't the end we see of this murderer and the judge we met in a previous season. Also, what the heck was with Delko's weed? I hope they aren't planning to get rid of his character. This certainly leaves many questions unanswered, and leaves more to be revealed in future episodes. If you missed this episode, get it from someone who taped it, or whatever, you gotta see this!
