  • Great episode all in all. a must see.

    The beginning:

Kids playing poker and one is a cheater. They kick him out immediately someone else rings the doorbell and we think its our cheater. But it's not. It's someone who blows a huge hole in the door and the face of the guy looking through the peephole. The cases:

The poker player who is dead, we think the cheater killed him, but we find out it was a random act of violence. The worst thing is we feel bad for the killer. He's an alcoholic who became of that because of a mugging. The killing happened because he got punched and he promised himself he'd never be a victim again. The poor guy lost his wife and his kid to alcohol. The guy at the end broke your heart. He barely talks but his expressions at the end were just heartbreaking.

Then there was this weather girl died. We figure out it was her partner in the planned DVD sale, the camera man. He said he only knocked hr out. but he left her there to die. so he did kill her. He may not have meant it. But he did. Favorite scenes:

My favorite scene most definitely had to be with Flack and the interviewees. I mean there was the guy not calling 911 and not seeing what was wrong with that. Then there was the woman asking what time it was and shutting the door in Flack's face. And of course, the best of all the interviewees? The guy that was only in his underwear with a bear in his hand, who winks at Flack. Then there was also Flack breaking the Cubans. I mean that was absolutely hilarious. I loved it. Favorite Science Bit:

There was the scanner that scanned the ground for depth and everything. I loved it!

    Overall:

It was a good episode. Sure it had a sad ending with the father but it was still an amazing episode with amazing acting. I enjoyed the peephole scenes, and the concept of the peephole. Especially wonderful was how the peephole closed it and as we close out of the episode it's like we're peeping into the lives of the CSIs. On top of all that, was the great acting done especially by the killer of the poker player.
  • Puzzles are great to figure out.

I really enjoyed watching the puzzle pieces go together on this one. From determining that Tara drowned in two inches of water, after she was hit on the head. I loved it that Danny determined the exact time of death just to show up Hawkes. This was a case Danny was very passionate about, him calling Leonard to the mat leaving Tara to die. In the case of the Joel Ivey, I thought it was really interesting that James killed the wrong man by going to the wrong floor. Lindsay scene with Mac was great. As well as the scene with Stella and Flack in the Cigar store, it was classic.
  • A poker game gone wrong and the weather forecast said that the weatherlady is gonna die.

Okie, the pokergame case. I normally would be able to figure who the murderer is but in this case, it was out of my expectations. I didnt expect the drunk guy to accidentaly shot that poor innocent man who was about to continue his poker game. Okay, maybe he wasnt all that innocent because he sort of cheated in the poker game.

And the weatherlady case. The walrus documentary nearly made me laugh till i drop off my chair. And it was good to see that the weatherlady actually change her mind about selling the tape. She did it for her sister. =)
  • Mac, Lindsay, Stella and Flack investigate the death of a poker player who was shot in the face, while Danny and Hawkes check out the sexcapades of a reporter who was found dead in the park.

Note: This is a late review. I wrote this a long time ago but only got the chance to post it now. ^_^

The episode is the funniest one I've seen so far. I can understand Lindsay's frustration at being the new girl since she has to do all the "dirty work". The look on Flack's face while interviewing the building's tenants, especially when that fat guy in briefs opened the door, was priceless. I almost fell off the chair with laughter. And Danny, Hawkes and Adam watching the "walrus documentary" and Lindsay walking in on them was also a good one.

All in all, it was an entertaining episode. I'm not exactly crazy about the plot, but I'd watch it again.
  • So cool this episode was so cool!! Really, I've been in total confusing for half an hour, didn't expect that it would end like this!!

This episode was terrific again. CBS is half a season ahead of us in the Netherlands, so it's difficult for me to not watch al die episodes summary and review and everything, but it's going well. Well, Bad Beat was amazing, never expect that it would end like this. And Gary Sinise is really cool too, just like Eddie Cahill and Hill Harper. My favorite CSI!!! Maybe it's not original to say, but it is!! I'm already very excited about the next episode. A week is so long to wait!! Monday it's time for CSI, Tuesday CSI:Miami. I love CSI, O Yeah!!
  • The reason I\'m a counsellor.

It is tragic when a good person\'s live is ruined by tragedy. However with good help, a real trained (not self appointed) counsellor in supervision her/himself can make a tremendous difference and turn the victim\'s life around. This is a case of someone who for whatever reason did not get help, and instead his life nose dived. Eventually he ended up ruining his life and that of others because he did not get help. It\'s all too common.

I\'ve been through it myself, and from this episode I see it again. If we can learn from art imitates life like we see in this episode of CSI, anyone who goes through a tragedy, please get trained professional help to get you through it. Make sure you get the right help though, someone who is trained, registered and in supervision in counselling, not just that they say they are a counsellor. There are too many charletons around. In spite of what people tell you, you will probably never get over the tragedy completely, but you can learn to live with it, and learn from it. I did.

Excellent portrayal of what can go wrong if you don\'t get help.
  • Alot of scenes in his episode made me laugh.

nice episode. love it. Criminal killed the wrong guy because he was too drunk and reporter got hit on the head and was left there "drowned" to death. Theres a few scenes that made me laugh - like Flack interviewing a few room owners - im so glad they included the scene.
  • Man shoots the wrong person.

Absolutely wonderful episode. The guy cheating at cards was a great red herring. I liked that you were not introduced to the murderer until the end. It keeps you guessing as to how it really happened and who did it. This show just keeps getting better and better all the time.
  • A poker game turns deadly when one of them was caught cheating. Weathergirl's sexcapade costs her life. For this ep, there is nothing spectacular to watch for.

You'd have to read the synopsis about what happened. I'm just gonna skip straight to the likes and gripes.

    Memorable moments:

Linday's furstration at her long termed "rookie status".

Flack's interview with numerous odd apartment people. (it's abit like the one in "Grand Murder at Central Station")

3 CSIs enjoying a amateur porn show.

    Gripes:

-1 Cheesy dialogue. Some of them are Mac's lines too.

    -0.5 Above average plots
  • Back to plain old CSI: NY.

After last weeks crossover episode I was rather disappointed with this episode. Nothing happened. Like every other CSI episode in existence, it had a set plot with not a lot of room for plot twists. The only rather interesting part was how the murder of the poker player was a mistake. Other than that I can't really remember what happened. I can say that I bet Sheldon is glad that Lindsey came along so he wouldn't be the newbie in the lab. Sheldon is a rather interesting character because he is a CSI but used to be a pathologist so he's got all that interesting knowledge. I also like how he seems to know all these pointless facts. I seem to say this after every recent CSI: NY review and I'll say it again. I want to see more Lindsey character development. There is always next week though.
