To be honest, I expected more of an episode in season 6. Cases that blow your mind, action that doesn't hold you in your chair and characters that cause pure amazement. However, this episode belongs more into the category of "boring" and "not well thought through." The whole big brother theme isn't something new that people aren't aware of. Unfortunately, it has become part of everyone's daily life. Especially because of that, I assumed if you use the big brother theme in an episode make it unpredictable and unforgettable. Well, it wasn't! In the end, you have the feeling this episode was more about Mac's past than the case itself. The whole scenarios were pretty lame and unspectacular. The beginning was interesting and kinda scary, but somehow they didn't finish this thought and ended it abruptly. There was definitely something missing! I feel like they have left out the special highlight of this episode. They began with an interesting introduction of the story and before you even realized it, it was already the end. There was no: "Wow, I didn't see that coming!" moment at all, and to me it was just plain boring.
Case: Really good and scary! Just thinking that this thing could be possible!!:? being observed all the time...Creepy! And the guy trying to put people on his place is kinda understandable although irrational... He actually didn't kill anyone...
Mac centric chapter... we almost don't see the other characters... Did Sid actually appear? And the apart from maybe Hawkes and Adam the other were almost not there... Danny, Lindsay, Flack and even Stella had very little on screen time...
I liked the little moment with Stella and Lindsay about Danny's progress. And Hawkes asking for Lindsay's shirt... She seems stressed and tired...
And did anyone else noticed Stella touching Adam's shoulder?? Cute!!:P
The flashback was good and making Gary look younger really worked!!
All in all a good chapter, scary but really well done and thought... although I missed the other characters that weren't Mac...:)
Sometimes CSI: NY is borderline mediocre, but other times it really can be the best procedural on television; this is one of those times. An eery, yet intriguing storyline that played out nicely and had a very good twist at the end.
The opening scene was about as intense as I have ever seen from the show and the moment the caller mentioned Mac's father....that was good television.
CSI: NY really hooks you for 60 minutes and keeps you glued to the TV while other procedurals have their boring points where there is a downplay on action and an upswing of yacking.
Mac and the team investigate a killer who is targeting health care workers. The case soon becomes personal for Mac when the killer keeps talking about Mac's father.
This episode sadly fell flat for me. Yes, we all know hacking is real and can be done. I just had a lot of trouble buying how well the character of Victor Benton was able to hack into EVERYTHING which such ease. Also, how exactly did Benton know what car the health care CEO was going to rent? How was Benton tracking him? Plus, the Victor Benton character is an old and tired plot device. Somebody who is lashing out at a system he believes has betrayed him. We have seen this before. Mac's closing dialogue does help the episode.
