  • Mac gets a 333 stalker and a serial killer strikes.

    9.5
This was an excellent start to the season with Mac coming back from London without Peyton because she wants to stay in London with her family and he comes back with a stalker who has been calling him at 3:33 every morning and when Mac picks up the phone no one is there. Also Mac comes back to a serial killer who is killing witnesses of a murder who didn't testify and the killer got away. The serial killer is also leaving messages behind that will lead them to the next murder. It took the CSI's right to the end to find out who the killer was and that Stella was with him and Stella had a shoot out with him. Then after that Mac in his office is called at 3:33 with no answer. The start to the season that was needed and the 333 stalker will return.moreless
  • Welcome back

    10
What a great first episode of season 4. I found the whole plot just amazing. the location of the murder was Genius and it really should that the show is 100% New York. Some episodes of CSI NY could have been Vegas or Miami but someone being found dead and blood pouring down the statue of liberty's face can only be CSI NY. I thought that the writing for this episode was great and teh whole spray on condom thing ... whats next. I think the 333 thing will become a great character development for Mac and I noticed no Peyton I hope they didn't break up.moreless
  • Not good enough.

    3.0
I don't like this episode. When I read the short summary, I thought this episode will be interesting (something happened to the Statue of Liberty, that's hugh), but this episode is just disappointing. Nothing happened at all, just another filler episode. The CSI found human's blood on the face of Statue of Liberty, which leads them to a dead body-one of the security guard, who we saw in the beginning of the episode. And then the string brings us to another victim...Such crap. I hate this episode, it's full with rubbish. Probably the worst episode in CSI: NY. The writers should done a better job for this episode, since this episode is the first episode in fourth season.moreless
  • After blood is found on the statue of Liberty, Mac and the team race to save lives.

    7.9
I have to say, I was not immpresed. I was expecting much more, with the Season Finale as big as it was. The charactor interaction between Danny and Lindsey was weak, if not non existing. I did like the development of Macs 333 stalker. The lack of Flack slightly bothered me because he was everywhere last season. I LOVED Stella. Her charactor is seeming to break out of her shell. The part where she chased the suspect really caught me. Adam and Kendell, what to say? I thought it was unorigianal, Danny and Lindsey did the same thing and look how they ended up. Hopefully the rest of the season will be better:)moreless
  • Best of the best CSI premiers!!!!!!!

    10
When Mac was hurrying through the airport I thought there was something big going on. I instantly knew there was something going on when Peyton wasn't with him, as he was checking for his flight back to New York. Lol, what better way of meeting up with Flack than getting a witty greeting?

YAY!!! Sheldon grew his facial hair back! He looks so much yummier now. Lindsay looks really pretty with her shorter hair. ADAM! You dirty boy! Lol, I love how he and What's-Her-Face competed with giving results to Stella. XD

This plot line was very interesting. Death on the Statue of Liberty. You know, I've actually been waiting for an episode like to happen. Although, this definitely took a totally different turn that I didn't expect. However, I knew it was the landlord. He seemed really shady to me.

EEEE OMG the writers are pulling a Las Vegas. I think. 3:33 for Mac Taylor? What the heck does it mean? Ooooh this season is going to be so great!!!

My Last Comment of the Day/Night: Spray on Condom????? I have many scientific questions for this new innovations, like how much is needed for proper durability?, how much force can it take?, and ditto of Danny's question because I didn't catch the answer.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (11)

    • The man inside the timpani should have been able to easily take its head off after it was modified since it must be hard to stuff a person in one and then artfully put the head back on.

    • Even though enough time has gone by for the lab to be rebuilt after last season's finale, there's no continuity to Danny's severe hand injury and Adam's physical and psychological torture from 3x24 Snow Day. Even though there has been enough time for their injuries to clear up, Adam would most likely have some trauma and Danny would suffer from his fingers having been badly broken since as he revealed himself in 1x22 The Closer a hand injury was what ended his baseball career after he broke his wrist. His career depends a big deal in his ability to use his hands to do detailed job.

    • Adam can be seen wearing one dog tag.

    • Even though Mac has gone to London on vacation to spend time with Peyton, he appears to be alone in his hotel room every time he gets the 333 calls and flashbacks can be seen to at least three of them. He doesn't make any reference to how Peyton reacted to them or if she knows about them.

    • Goof: The coroner finds a ticket stub in the throat of the victim whose tongue was cut out, but since this man died in the ER, wouldn't ER staff have found it while trying to stop the bleeding and save his life?

    • The flight number for Mac's flight home from London is 401 which also happens to be the episode reference number.

    • Goof: The 3 major London airports (Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick) require photo check-in as part of their security protocol. This involves having your picture taken at check-in, then when boarding the plane the boarding pass is scanned and the picture double checked (the picture is displayed on a screen behind the desk and is visible to anyone waiting to board). This is standard procedure for all flights but this does not happen when Mac is boarding the plane.

    • Wardrobe malfunction: In the first part of the show, we see Mac wearing a long sleeved dark grey tee and black pants. Mid episode, everybody changes clothes, and Mac is wearing a black short-sleeved tee and black sweatpants, with a grey stripe on the sides. Towards the end of the episode, we see Mac wearing the grey tee again, while everybody else is wearing the second set of clothes.

    • The new 3-D equipment in the autopsy lab is made by Actuality Systems and is called the Perspecta Display 1.9. It is designed to create a hologram-like image that gives a 360 degree view that can be viewed by multiple users simultaneously. The website actually features the following blurb: as seen in the autopsy lab of the hit series CSI: NY.

    • Statue of Liberty Access: The upper regions of the Statue of Liberty have been closed to visitors for various reasons throughout its history. Most often, the torch and crown have been the restricted areas due to structural safety concerns. However, the entire interior of the hollow statue has been off limits to the public since 11 September 2001. A bill to reopen the statue was introduced in the US Senate in 2006, but the National Park Service, which runs the monument, maintains that it will be closed indefinitely.

    • Stella can speak Italian.

  • QUOTES (15)

    • Adam: She gets a piano wire and I get a bronze, metal thing with bumps.

    • Stella: (coming in holding a box) Mac, if I told you to go home and get some rest, you would say...
      Mac: What's in the box?
      Stella: Of course you would.

    • Nova Kent: I lost that music box about a year ago.
Danny: Are you kidding me? You can't come up with a better lie than that?
Nova Kent: I move a lot, four different places in the past year. I've given up junk, throw things away.
Stella: You specifically requested that the music box played Mozart's first menuet. It seems strange that something with that kind of sentimental value would be thrown away.
Nova Kent: Yeah well, I cried for three days when I realized it was gone.
Danny: You're killing me right now...

    • Adam: Kendall! Hey..uh..wake up..uh, we're late for work. We gotta, we gotta get up, we're late for work.
Kendall: (waking up and seeing that they are both in their underwear) Did we?...We didn't...?
Adam: Oh! No, no, no. I mean, I...uh..I wish it was yes, yes, yes but sadly, no.
Kendall: (lays back down)...Hmmmm, ten more minutes.
Adam: No, no, no, no. No more minutes! Come on! Get up, get up! Come on, let's go! Up, up, up, yes, let's go! (helps Kendall up from the couch) Must...fight....crime...

    • Hawkes: What about the trace I collected from her arm?
Lindsay: Latex. More specifically, condom spray.
Danny: (Amused) 'Scuse me? What? I didn't catch that.
      (Sheldon looks baffled.)
Lindsay: Liquid rubber (Holds the spray can, smiling). German engineering at its finest.
Hawkes: I'm not sure I understand.
Lindsay: Well, allow me to demonstrate (Grabs a big test-tube). Contrarily to what you might have heard, science definitely does matter (Starts spraying the content of the can on the test-tube). Simply, apply like so. Allow a few moments for maximum drying time and... boom! Instant condom.
Hawkes: Are you serious? A spray-on condom?
Danny: What... where does the... the... (Points at the top of the test-tube) Now how... never mind.

    • Stella: Does that smell like ammonia?
Flack: And death. (after a while) Something definitely happened in this apartment.

    • Hawkes: (to Lindsay and Danny) I don't know guys, it doesn't make sense. Sex and murder I get, vandalism ... (he shrugs) incompatible.

    • Mac: (after hearing that the two Security Guards had sex on the Statue of Liberty) Nothing's sacred anymore.

    • Flight Attendant: (shows Mac that he has a lipstick kiss on his cheek and Mac wipes it off) Looks like someone's going to miss you!

    • Stella: After everything he did, he didn't go after Anthony Colton.
Mac: For some, the greatest sin is to do nothing.

    • Adam: That's how I roll. (high pitch) What up?!

    • Stella: (Referring to sight viewer) There's blood on the coin slot.
Flack: Yeah, I like to do a little sight seeing after I commit murder.

    • Adam: (answering phone) Adam Ross.
Lindsay: Hi. I'm calling from the office of unemployment.
      Adam: Oh, Lindsay, hey.
Lindsay: Word is that Denny's is looking to hire some socially awkward scientists.
Adam: I'm...I'm halfway there already, okay?
Lindsay: It's a big case Adam, it's the Statue of Liberty, it's all over the news.(Adam turns his TV on, Lindsay continues over the phone.) We've got a lot of work to do; it's top priority and Mac is back in town. Get your little ass to work. (Lindsay hangs up the phone)

    • Stella: Who would do something like this?
Mac: Someone desperate to get his message across.

    • Flack: (shakes hands with Mac) Welcome back to the land of the free and the home of the depraved.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was a prolific and influential Austrian composer of the Classical era.

Denny's is the largest family restaurant chain in the United States.
