CSI: NY

I found this episode interesting because it made me and wonder why someone would take the time to bury somebody in a water tower. I also like the way Stella and Sheldon solve their case. Their case involved something called cool hunting.

I found the term cool hunting interesting because of what it meant.

There's a dead body in the water tank in an apartment building notorious for its history of death. Mac and Lindsay found several evidences that points to a doctor (which looked scary with red watery eyes). But some things don't add up.



Although, Danny and Lindsay are not working this case together. He was ask to assist (fans would like this scene). From the data of thickness of the boot depression onto the sand, Lindsay determines the weight of the killer. The killer couldn't have carried the victim although the shoes belong to the man they've taken into custody. I think this is a simple but smart way in solving the case.



The other case is also just as good, but in a secondary sort of way.

THE BEGINNING:

A creepy building with a disturbing past? A woman dead in a water tower of a building, and the shower and faucets seeping blood. Sounds like something out of a Stephen King book. Wait, this isn't set in Maine. Great beginning, even though the whole blood and the faucet thing wouldn't happen, it's still a great thrilling aspect to it. THE CASES:

I loved this case and loved the whole chick with the blood. She committed suicide only to frame the guy, and she made it seem like a murder. He was an addict to morphine. What I loved most about this case was that mystery upon mystery kept piling up. There was science behind it, but still. I wish we knew what really happened with the nanny. I mean we know what really happened with the girl who choked, but what about the nanny? I totally felt for the poor super who was in love with her, and she totally just ditched him. I mean she just used him to get his keys. What a creepy lady. Then again it was very depressing. She lost all hope after her daughter died. She lost her life when she lost her kid. I definitely loved the Shakespeare bit.



Then there was the case of the dead field consultant who died from the owner of another company. I mean we assume it's the other field consultant competing with him, but it ends up being the owner of the company who was angry that the kid couldn’t kill him. It was so crazy too. I love that he thought he was "doing good for his people," but Stella points out how he sold out his people. *sigh* guys suck.



FAVORITE SCENE:

The bit with Lindsay and Danny carrying her, I mean I'm sorry. I am a DL lover. Who doesn't love that scene though? It was way too funny!



Also a touching scene was when Lindsay was going through the steps the victim did as sh was committing suicide, checking out the prints then stepping around with socks, and everything. She did an amazing job. Then when she looked down and then she is in the tower and looks up. Also Danny with the handball. That was brilliant. He was so cute. And then him gloating about it later.



OVERALL:

This was a really great episode. It was not only an interesting case but they also had good acting, and the cases definitely made you think and feel for the people.

The openning of the chapter with people using their bathrooms and the water turning red was impressive. The case of Mac and Lindsay of the woman who planned her suicide to blame the doctor that wasn't able to save her daughter because he was drunk was really smart and well written. Danny, Stella and Hawkes investigate a case of a guy found dead in a swing in Washington heights. He was a cool hunter and gets in two fights and in the second one the guy gets hang with the swing chain. Best parts of the chapter: Danny playing ball with only the wife beater...and the roof scenne when Danny carries Lindsay...

Great episode!

I thought the idea of a trend forecaster was GREAT! The whole idea of people being paid to come up with the "next hot thing" was really creative. I love when AZ teams Stella & Danny. It obviously she is a leader but how she leads is great. I liked how it was resolved and how it came full circle of Rico wanting to "protect" his people but he's no different from Hatfield. They both wanting to take advantage of the culture and make a buck. Now for the lady in a the water tower. This was really cool. I loved the teaming of Mac & Lindsay. She very much absorbs whatever investigative skills Mac wants to teach her but she's also willing to go with her own instincts. Which in this case played a keep role in solving the crime. The twist that Stacy in her suicide, attempted to frame Zimmerman in revenge for her daughter's death was a great twist.

Okay, the show started with ppl showering and suddenly, their shower turn into a nasty blood shower. The CSI's went to the crime scene which is the water tower and found a dead body in it. The building was supposingly cursed, according to Lindsay because she took a "graveline tour". In the end, the victim tried to frame the doctor for her death bcuz last time, the doctor was on drugs and he couldnt perform CPR well for the vic's daughter.



The other case. Danny and Stella found a dead body in the playground. A chain from the swing was the murder weapon.



And WOOT, Danny plays handball! Did you see the way he dressed? *drools* He had to play handball and win the match in order to get some useful information. And no to mention, Danny carried Lindsay!! D/L moments!!!

The cursed building case is quite lame. Even though, it’s nice to see something different than the usual murder case again. But the characters are way too much stereotype! The mother with her lost daughter, the morphine addicted doctor and the stupid, but well-tempered worker. No I didn’t like that.

The second case I liked much more, but I think that there should have been a more detailed view on that neighbourhood. Sure it was difficult, but I think it would have been much nicer, if they had shown more of it inner functions and vitality, rather than some stupid ball game competition. Especially Jenny Rodriguez didn’t have the screen time she deserved. Think about it: She’s the central object in this whole case besides the victim and wee see her in one imagination flash and one short questioning scene. I think that it would have been rather interesting too see how she lives and why she was involved with this fashion scout.



After all it’s a nice try, but the story had so much more potential!!!
