Goof: When Mac is scanning in the Deli for the rat that swallowed the bullet, you can briefly see a Solitaire game on the screen of the scanner.
Goof: When the girl arrives at the party, she places her hand on the car, right above the grille. However, in Stella's picture the hand print has moved to the side.
Goof: When Stella is processing Robin at the hospital, Robin's bruise switches eyes.
The walnut dust was once used to clean up statues because it was less abrasive. Walnut dust is not used anymore because cleaning statues with it is too time consuming.
Mac is from Chicago.
Goof: When Mac is checking which rat swallowed the bullet, the "scanner" is just a handheld with a solitaire game on the screen.
Goof: The bloody hand print on the white limo in the beginning is smudged when the victim makes it, but when the CSIs photograph it later, it looks much more like a hand.
Aiden: I lived in a 6 story walk-up in Brooklyn, you could hear the rats scampering on the staircase above you. They didn't even flinch when you passed them. Mac: That's because they recognised you, they like familiar surroundings. Aiden: What they liked was my grandmother's sofa.
(Flack apprehends a suspect at a restaurant) Suspect: Hey! I didn't do nothing man. Flack: Yeah? You got steak sauce all over my shoes.
(A rapist's semen doesn't have sperms) Stella: So our rapist was shooting blanks?
(After examining Jordy's corpse, Mac notices the peculiarity of Jordy's gunshot wound.) Mac: Looks to me like something exited our entrance wound.
(Stella and Dr. Giles are discussing how the semen they found on the rape victim has no sperm cells.) Stella: Which means we can't compare the semen from our rapist to the blood sample we got from Donovan Tracey. (She sighs) Dr. Giles: Catching this guy just got a lot harder.
Stella: She was in Central Park. Mac: Looks like we've got ourselves an 800-acre crime scene.
Stella: Six plus one is seven; three plus four is seven... Danny: Five plus two is seven. Consider all possibilities. Stella: Exactly.
Danny: We have a semen sample from our rapist with no sperm. We've got one from him with no sperm. Matching nothing and nothing, that will count for something.
Mac: Aiden's on rodent patrol. I'm waiting to do a rat-topsy. Stella: Rape and rats. Worlds apart.
Aiden: (flashing her badge) NYPD. Crime Scene Investigators. Shop-keeper: You people deal with rats? Aiden: Only when they've eaten our evidence.
Mac: You're telling me a rat ate the bullet. Hawkes: That was dessert.
Dr. Giles: A rapist who left behind no DNA. Perfect crime. Stella: There's no such thing.
In the original script, the rape victim doesn't show up at the line-up, because she has committed suicide. Stella goes to her place and discovers her in the bathtub with her wrists slit open. She tries to revive Robin but doesn't succeed. It's to wash up her blood that she later takes a shower.
