Stella interrupts a trial for a murder case acusing the DA to plant evidence. After his wife's lover disappears and the DA is no-where to be found they start to investigate the possible murder of the lover. They can't find any solid evidence nor body because the DA erased all the evidence. After a lot of search and Hawkes having to dismantle a huge machine they find some bone tissue and they can blame him for the murder. Meanwhile, the first trial goes on after the murderer, that was released because of the planting eveidence, gets caught again trying to kill the only witness.

All the team works together and to solve the 2 murders. Great work.
  • Very good episode yet not the best of S6

Very good episode. I especially liked the dramatic beginning and introduction of the murderer. It gave the viewer a pretty realistic impression. Gary Sinise as a producer is the right way to go. He does such an excellent job, and I always enjoy the episodes he produces. I'd like to see more of A.J. Buckley though. Anyway, I believe the whole CSI team had an equal share of air time although it was more about Stella this episode. As a huge Flack fan, I could have a whole episode just about him, so I'm glad he got a lot of air time in the previous ones of Season 6. I hope there is more to come, because he's really the tip of the iceberg :).
  • A man in prison for a brutal murder of an eighteen year-old girl is released when it's discovered that evidence at the scene was planted. The investigation takes Mac and the team into the personal life of a close friend and associate.

When this episode first began, I thought viewers were once again going to get the tired formula of a man accused of murder who may be innocent. I was relieved that was not the case. I like the directions this story took which made the episode very entertaining and had me interested in where the story was going. There were some flaws in the storyline concerning the personal life of the DA. I asked myself while watching the episode "How exactly did he get the bodies of a man and the man's dog out of the apartment with nobody noticing?"
