  • Suspect X is back

Continuing from the episode down the rabbit hole the Assassin who escaped from Mac returns and tries to fake her death and it works until the CSI's prove otherwise and set a trap for the assassin which will catch her for good.In the end mac shoots her and she dies after bleeding out but Mac still has no idea who she is.
  • Dead for a day?

    is it "for a day"?

Maybe in the "final count down" of all seasons Mac notices the mistake, she was supposedly dead, but like in the begin of episode its a trick again, and finaly she logres exit in kill him.
  • Our favorite female assassin returns ... (spoiler ahead)

... with a really disappointing storyline, so I'm not going to bother writing a complete review of the episode here. Though the episode started out really interesting and promising it was a complete disaster at the end.

When I first watched "Suspect X" in Season 4 episode 5 (Down The Rabbit Hole) I enjoyed the idea of a highly skilled assassin, and when she didn't get caught at the end of that episode it made it one of my favorite episodes this season.

So after telling us how special and smart Suspect X is, she falls for absolutely every trap the NYPD sets up for her and then she gets shot by Mac? I'm not even complaining about the really bad acting at the shootout at the end of the episode, but the storyline itself could have been so much better. And since I'm disappointed I only gave it a 5.5 rating.moreless
  • Truly I am hoping that this is a left over that Bruckheimer was paying a high school student to write while the rest of the writers were on the picket line.moreless

I used to think that csi miami was the worst csi of all. Now I am beginning to think that the overly dramatic scripts are beginning to bleed into this series.

This episode begins off well enough off, a continuation of a previously unsolved case: After one very short detour of a false suspect the team is immediately back on the chase. Or what is more like a connect the dot puzzle that has already been crayoned in by a 9 year old.

Truly I am hoping that this is a left over that Bruckheimer was paying a high school student to write while the rest of the writers were on the picket line.

Excuse my bad grammar and writing because I am drunk; that is what it took to make it through this episode.moreless
  • One of my favorites!

I think this is a great conclusion to the episode "Down the Rabbit Hole" which is also one of my favorites. The plot is awesome and exiciting. SPOILERS ahead...

There are some twists and exciting like suspect x not being the dead woman; Jordan being the target of Suspect X; catching her at the park and gun fight scene between her and Mac. I like the scene where Adam said that Suspect X is "brilliant" then changed it to "evil" when Mac looked at him! I also love this episode because of Angell! I also like the confession of Suspect X. She's so evil to say a nice confession before she died.

I can't blame others who were disappointed with the episode - that suspect x was professional that she was only killed by a bullet; that she took the bait eventhough she knew that she was haunted by the police. I also realized these but then, maybe the writers thought that It would be great to hear some last words from her. All in all, this is an episode worth your time.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (9)

    • Goof: When Danny and Lindsay are looking at the overalls in the doctor's embalming room Danny says: "Kirkbalm had a close contact wound to the face..." However, if you watch closely you'll see he says: "Kirkbalm had a close contact wound to the head..." The audio was changed after filming.

    • Goof: When Danny and Sid are doing the deconstruction of the vic's face to see what she looked like her hair color changes. When she is on the table in autopsy her hair is blond but the image of her that Danny is working on shows her with dark brown hair.

    • Goof: When Sid initially x-ray's the vic's head, the knife is a single edged blade with a saw tooth edge along the lower part of the cutting edge only. However when the knife is removed it's a dual edge blade with saw tooth edge along one entire side.

    • Contrary to Flack, Danny is not a sci-fi fan since he just remembers Star Wars as some vague thing from his childhood.

    • Suspect X seems not to have any trouble running and leaping through the construction site in her high heels.

    • The scene were Angell is sitting in a plaza next to a wall fountain is the lower plaza at the Sherman Oaks Galleria. PF Chang is on one side, Macaroni Grill on another and Cheesecake Factory at the other end. Kinda funny.

    • The building where the first vic is found is next to Venetti's Meat Packing, which is the place owned by the tiger vic from 2x03 Zoo York.

    • Jordan Gates met Mac at Gracie Mansion after her ex-husband stalked her.

    • Goof: When Mac dives for cover behind the concrete bricks, you see bullets hitting them and leaving impact marks. But when Mac pops back up, the top stone is undamaged.

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Mac: (To Adam) Soldiers wounded in action sometimes keep the shrapnel that's pulled from their bodies. It's like a little reminder of how close they came to dying.

    • (Mac talks to Suspect X, an assassin he has wounded.)
      Mac: Who are you?
Suspect X: Anyone you want me to be, detective. Friend. Lover. Fantasy. Nightmare. Take your pick.
Mac: Based on the amount of blood leaving that hole I put in your chest, I'll go with dead.
Suspect X: That's not on the list.
Mac: This is all just a game, isn't it? Tell me, what goes through your mind, when you end a life.
      Suspect X: Besides playing God?
Mac: You don't have much time. Give me something.
Suspect X: A confession? Pulling the trigger is like taking a deep breath of fresh air. Seeing that last little speck of life in their eyes, then when it fades, I don't know (coughs) I believe they're going to a better place.

    • Lindsay: (Sees a cat run up the stairs) So much for sterile conditions.

    • Flack: Bring anything else?
Lindsay: All access pass. (Lindsay holds up the warrant)
      Angell: Nice.

    • Mac: Six and a half inch, black powder-coated blade, sawtooth back. This is a Navy Seal combat knife.
Sid: Now if only there was a game show that called for that kind of knowledge. You'd be able to retire early.
      Mac: I'd miss your wit.

    • (Angell is putting on her Kevlar vest and notices Flack looking at her)
      Angell: What?
Flack: You look good in a vest.
      Angell: (smiles at him)

    • Adam: (to Mac about the way Suspect X found her clients, laughing) It's brilliant! (gets funny look from Mac and stops smiling immediately) And it's... it's evil, really evil.

    • Danny: Hey Linds! (walking up to her)
Lindsay: Oh Danny! They're beautiful! Nothing says you're special like centrifuge tubes filled with DNA samples.
Danny: I'm not gonna live this down, am I?
Lindsay: Forgetting my birthday? Probably not. Where did you get these?
Danny: Adam found more blood samples on the knife. There was a piece of shrapnel hidden inside the handle. You run the blood he found on the hilt?
Lindsay: (turning her back on him and talking with a rather upset voice) Yup, came back non-human. Send it to serology for protein analysis.
Danny: Lindsay, come on. Guys, we are not wired for remembering dates, okay? We remember sports stats and then steak sides, that sort of thing, alright?
Lindsay: (sighs and turns back round, facing Danny) Steak sides? You are so busted!

    • Mac: This woman was a skilled and trained assassin. Whoever did this had to be better.
Stella: Who kills a professional killer?
