Oh Boy, something to strive for.....now so BM thinks I accomplished something while she was gone.
Danny with the cell phone to his ear, Lindsay comes out of the bedroom, still wet from her shower,
Lindsay: Danny, What is it? (Without saying a word, Danny simply points to the news that he's been watching) Oh My God.....
Sheldon chuckled at Amber's reaction, his eyes sparkling with amusement instead of unshed tears. "Hey, I like Greek food too, it's good. The Tiffany's thing, well, I did promise Stella a shopping trip there to get whatever she wanted, part of a deal I made her. I'll tell her that she gets her trip after she helps me get some new furniture for my apartment." He chatted with her a bit more, then made his good-byes. "I need to go Amber. I haven't started processing Mr. Freeze's evidence, but I'm tempted to leave it until the morning, when he's thawed enough to get the autopsy results from Sid." He finally hung up from her and looked back to Maggie, replacing the phone and putting his free hand on top of hers. "Thanks for checking up on me, Maggie. Hey, do you want to go get some dinner? I, uh...I could use something to eat, and maybe a stiff drink or two."
As Marcus asked about bedtime, Elly yanwed hugely. Robin chuckled, and looked at the clock. "Right about now, actually." Elly glared at Robin but she had to admit she was tired. As if on cue, she climbed off the couch, gave Marcus and Robin a hug, and trotted off to her bedroom. She wanted to do some thinking. She got into her pajamas and climbed into bed. She laid back and snuggled with Boomer and started to think. This lasted about 5 minutes, after which she was sound asleep and dreaming.
"It was no problem, Shel," she said. "Certainly! Right now, though?" She looked down at their joined hands, feeling suddenly bad for having to break their brief tender moment up. "'anahan wants me to get a statement from you, regarding the mob on the bridge," she said quietly. "The was partially the reason for coming to see you, but the biggest reason was to make sure you were alright." She looked up at him.
Robin giggled softly. Poor Marcus, he was really terrible at trying to subtly change the subject and throw the attention off himself. She gave her sister a good night hug and smiled when she gave Marcus one too before leaving. "I'm so relieved that she likes you."
"Me too," Marcus agreed. "She's a great kid." They sat in comfortable silence, which didn't last long when they heard keys in the door. Marcus stood and stretched. "Well, that'll be your parents so I better get ready to go. Do you want to borrow my book?"
Before Robin could reply, the door opened. She was about to greet her parents when the two teens saw it was a man dressed in black with a ski mask, not the Taylors. He looked startled seeing them and instantly brandished a wicked looking knife at them.
This was brought forth on the fact I had to edit this because lisa posted Elly before I could.
Sheldon had been busying himself with the evidence from Mr. Freeze, and had lost all track of time. After he logged in the evidence (which didn't take that long, since there wasn't all that much), he headed down to autopsy to see if the body had by any chance thawed out enough to get a time of death or a cause of death. Sid just looked at him. "You're kidding, right? You're looking at the very least early AM before I can even think about measuring those things". Hawkes sighed. "That's as I figured. Thanks, Sid. But I had to try." Sid smiled. 'How you doing? I heard about the riot." "I'm doing okay, Sid, thanks for asking. I'm a little tired, but I think I'll live." Sid patted his shoulder. "Go home. Get some rest. Mr. Nadoo isn't gonig anywhere."
Sheldon left and swung into the lab to drop some blood off for the techs to run. That odd tech, Daryl, was there, and Hawkes narrowed his eyes suspiciously. There was something about that man he didn't like. After leaving the samples of blood and hair to be run, he retreated back to his office to take a few minute break before he started in on the jellied sample that Amber had fallen on. Spying Margurite's email, he sighed and typed off a quick reply:
I have a few samples running, but Mr. Freeze won't be thawed until tomorrow. I'm about to run the jelly that Amber slipped on to see what it was. Did you ever find out anything on what helicopters might have been flying over the bridge? I'll be here when you get done.
Moggs, sweetie, Elly just took herself off to bed.
Adam watched as Sam walked out of the lab with Daryl into the DNA lab. He could have sworn he noticed a smirk on Daryl's face as he led her out. "Two months and he still hasn't changed!" Adam scowled. Adam was tempted to play the jealous boyfriend in front of Daryl, but decided against it as he trusts Sam. He knows that she will not stray from their relationship and there is no way that she could ever fall for the charms of Daryl the creep.
Adam felt relieved that their Management have employed more techs for the new lab which meant that he and Sam will finally be working together again. The setback is that Daryl will also be on the same shift most of the time, despite being transferred to DNA. No matter how hard he tried to shake off Daryl, he always seem to appear out of nowhere, everytime Sam's with him. He made a mental note to be wary of Daryl's whereabouts and his intentions. He caught Daryl snooping around in the building once before the whole Irish mob episode with the lab, but when questioned, Daryl merely explained that he was lost looking for the ballistics lab. "Lost my @ss!" Adam figured. He suspect that Daryl was up to something, but he needed more time to prove it. Adam took out his cell and texted Sam. You ok with him? I hope you haven't told him about us yet coz I don't want him to know. He is the last person I'd tell. Two minutes later, he received a text message from Sam, why darling? you're jealous? Don't worry, I have no intentions of letting him know about us too. I love you ok, so don't worry that precious head of yours about me. I miss you already
Adam smiled after reading Sam's text message and sighed with relief. "That's my girl!" Adam thought and grinned.
Daryl was excited about having Sam working with him again. He missed working with a beautiful woman by his side. She did seem reluctant to leave Adam though and Daryl thought, "Hmm, did I miss something with the two of them?" He tried to read Sam's expression as she focused on her work, but she suddenly looked up and their eyes met.
"What? is there something on my face?" Sam asked him.
"No, nothing .. ," Daryl replied, still trying to read her expression, " I was just curious about something that's all"
"And that something is written on my face?" Sam laughed.
"Nah, maybe it's just my mind playing tricks, that's all. So tell me,what have you been up to for the last 2 months? I tried calling you but you didn't pick up your phone. Are you trying to avoid me?" Daryl interrogated Sam and grinned.
Sheldon was analyzing all his reports at his desk, including the jelly. KY jelly. Niiiiiice. Real creative on that one. He looked up at his computer beeped at him, announcing that he had a new email. He read Margurite's message and smiled, sending his answer back:
Yes, go ahead and bring the information by. I can make a few phone calls. We may need to get some measurements on their blades and see if we can figure out which chopper it was. See you in a bit. I'm getting very hungry.
Elly had just drifted off to sleep when she heard the shout from the living room. She sat straight up in bed, her eyes wide. Creeping to her doorway, she peeked out and didn't see anything in the hallway. She pauses there, frozen, as she tried to listen to what was going on.
I want to hold off posting for the Robin crew until BM comes back.
Magurité shut her laptop down and put it in its bag before escaping the madness around her. At least it was starting to ease a little, though she didn't want to go anywhere near the holding cells.
Soon she was in the elevator going to the lab's floor. She walked to Sheldon's office. "Hey, I'm back," she said. "I have the reports on my laptop," she patted her bag, "Do you want to go out or order in?"
Sheldon had just finished taking his own medications when Margurite knocked on his door. He smiled and leaned back in his chair, looking tired but less stressed. "Uh...in, I guess. We could look over those logs while we eat. I can't have my drink that way, but since I'm technically stil on the clock, that wouldn't be a good idea anyway." He gestured to the chair she had sat in before. "Come on in, sit down. I'll show you what I have so far on the case." He stifled a yawn and started to pull out the findings as he waited for her to sit down..
A few techs walked by and shot him nasty looks, the ones that didn't like him anyway. A few choice words were hollered at him through his door, causing him to stiffen, but he just ignored them. He grinned sheepsihly at Maggie. "Sorry about that. There are those who are convinced I did it, but most of those never believed the hero stuff anyway. I'm used to it by now. Just like I got used to being called a lunatic. So....what restaurant did you have in mind?"
