Hmm that's a tough one because I like them all three. I have never really thought who I liked best...
I'd say it's probably a tie between Mac and Grissom (G. Sinise is one of my favorite actors), then Horatio not very far behind.

Grissom (by far, he's just so quirky)Mac
Horatio (I can't stand him.  He literally just stands around while all the others do the work, and I just want to grab those sunglasses and stomp on them!)

I think Grissom. With his scholarly beard, eccentric nature, almost neurotically-private personality and obscure references, he’s just about the quirkiest character since Mr Spock. And Petersen pulls it all off so perfectly.

Every time I see Gary Sinise, I want to holler “LIEUTENANT DAN!” But I like the way he’s developed this quiet, introspective, tightly wound, no-nonsense, by-the-books, ex-military man with an aching heart and subtle sense of humor.

But David Caruso as Horatio Caine… I just don’t know. I guess people either love him or hate him. He amuses my wife but he annoys me no end. Those awful dramatic pauses. It’s almost like he’s just drawing attention to himself which detracts from the stories. And those black suits in that sweltering hot and humid Miami. Yech!

No one can out think Grissom with him loosing his hearing and all. I just think the Vegas CSI is unbeatable

1.Grissom (by far and away the best)
2.Mac (pretty good in second place)
3.Horatio ( barely tolerated as a dim and dismal third bringing up a trailing last place)

Everything MerkinMuffley said except about Horatio. I love all three and it's just that they are all on different points of the spectrum that makes it impossible for me personally to say which one I prefer. Although I'm currently obsessing over Gary Sinise....Need to watch Of Mice And Men....

I really like all of them.  They are all good at doing their jobs their own way.
    1)Grissom~He's always been my favorite
    2)Mac~He laughs easier than Horatio
3)Horatio~He is hot but he's not my fave on CSI:MIAMI
It was hard to choose but that would be my order although all three of them are awesome and the shows would go nowhere without them.

    1 Grissom

    2 H

    3 Mac

It just seems that Mac has the least personality of the three.

Grissom - !!!!! He's so weird! Kinda like me...

H - It's so funny how he always does that sunglasses thing before the intro!

Mac - Mac is well Mac, do I need a reason?

To me they're kinda all tied! It varies on the episode...
