I am posting this everywhere, so that there can be NO confusion:

This post is for clarification purposes, since some of the newer members don't seem to realize what exactly constitutes a spoiler.

    EVERYONE PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

    Spoiler Information wrote:
    1) These aren't considered spoilers:

    a) CBS video promos from the website or Youtube.
    b) Episode synopses from tv.com, IMDb, or TV Guide.
    c) EDITED episode synopses from thefutoncritic.com.
    d) Cast list from IMDb.

    These are spoilers:

    a) Promotional stills and pictures from the episode
    b) Sides, scripts, plot giveaways
    c) Basically anything that's NOT in what is mentioned above.

For example - if CBS decides on a Monday that they want to post all sorts of pictures about Wednesday's episode, that's okay - it's CBS releasing it for the public, not someone getting their hands on something that CBS doesn't want the public to know.

    2) You can post links to things, so long as you mention that there are spoilers in the link. Promo stills should not be posted until the day of the episode. If you want to post the pic before then, post a link to it.

    3) Remember that if the word "spoilers" is not in the thread title, you need to give warning when you post them. This can be done by putting WARNING: SPOILERS and then several lines between the warning and the spoilers, then putting END SPOILERS. Please keep in mind that multiple spaces do not always format correctly, so try putting asterisks instead of blank lines. Preferably, the warning should be in ALL CAPS and also in RED TEXT so that it is more noticeable when skimming.

Or, you can white the spoilers out, so that you have to highlight to read it. That way, if you don't want to know, you don't have to read it. If your post has the 'blue' background, please use the quote function - [quote ] [ / quote ] without the spaces - and then white it out. If you don't know what color background your post will have, PREVIEW IT FIRST.

    Yeah. You can do that.

    This is a tv.com rule.

    4) Once an episode has aired in the ENTIRE US and Canada, it is no longer considered a spoiler. It is generally a good idea, if you are SF, to avoid the forums on Wednesday nights from 10 PM Eastern to 2 AM Eastern Thursday morning - or whenever NY has finished airing in your time zone.

This is what I do, on the weeks I cannot get it webcammed to me.

    5) There is a general spoiler thread, which can be found here. ANY and ALL spoilers go in that thread. Also, in the correct episode discussion threads, provided that they are posted properly, as stated in #3. Under no circumstances are spoilers to be posted in the other threads, unless they are posted properly.

NO SPOILERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE M&M THREADS AT ALL.

    6) A theory that you concocted is NOT a spoiler. The only way you could spoil someone with speculation was if you mention an actual spoiler in your theory. Speculating about what is going to happen is half the fun of watching a television show, and we aren't going to keep you from doing that.

    7) Something that was SUPPOSED to happen in an episode, but DIDN'T, is STILL considered a spoiler. Just because it didn't happen in that particular episode doesn't mean that it won't happen later. Episodes are rewritten multiple times before being filmed, and it's possible that the scene was pushed back. Also, spoilers are often unreliable information.

For example, when 312 aired, a lot of people assumed it was Lindsay's last episode, even though it had been previously stated that 314 was. After 312 aired, people complained that they had removed the card that Lindsay gives Danny. "What happened to the card?" "Lindsay was supposed to give Danny a card!" The card came in 314, and thanks to those people, we SF people were spoiled.

8 ) Letting people know if a spoiler is good or bad is STILL a spoiler! Saying that you're excited about an upcoming episode because the spoilers are good is basically ruining the episode for us SF people.

    9) Please do NOT quote spoilers. Also, please refrain from discussing said spoilers in any thread other than the spoiler thread, unless you follow the same guidelines you would for posting a spoiler.

Now that everyone knows what is and what is not considered a spoiler, and how to PROPERLY POST spoilers, and now that the spoiler thread has been pinned so no one can claim they didn't see it, should a spoiler be posted again, I will consider it an attack against me, and I will leave. It is hard enough to be spoiler-free without people being inconsiderate and just not thinking.

Would you want someone to tell you the ending of a movie you hadn't seen, but wanted to? Would you want someone to tell you how a book ends that you haven't read yet, but are dying to? NO, YOU WOULDN'T.

Mandy, Jas, Lost, and I ask the same courtesy of you. PLEASE DO NOT TELL US ANYTHING. We want to be surprised. It makes watching the show a more enjoyable experience for us because we don't know what's coming weeks beforehand, and if something doesn't happen that was supposed to, we don't get disappointed by it, because we didn't know it was supposed to be in there. When we SF people say we don't want to know, WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

    Thank you,
    Sugah

P.S. Could someone be so kind as to at least post the spoiler info in the spoiler thread?

Episode #401 "Can You Hear Me Now?"

-The episode starts with Mac coming back from London without Peyton. As he is flying into NYC, he gets a call and looks out the plane window to the Statue of Liberty whose face is covered in blood. He meets Stella there and Stella asks him how Peyton is and Mac says she's fine but Stella knows he's lying and says that she had called his hotel and found out he had already checked out.

-There is a new lab tech named Kelly Novak. She is sleeping with Adam. She is really pretty and funny, she likes to tease Adam.

-Everyone is working the same case. Two people are found dead, it ends up connecting back to an unsolved murder from a year ago. Apparently, the two victims were witnesses in the murder.

-There is no interaction between Danny and Lindsay.

    -Sid is back!

    DLC 1 wrote:
You know how some folks were wanting a scene with Danny tearing through an airport last season? Well, you get that scene this season. But it's Mac, trying to make his flight back to NYC.

It looks like they are going for D/L take 2 with the Adam/Kelly pairing. They tease each other and are competitive in the lab. She gets her work done faster and with more detail. He's enamored.

The woman who had been killed a year prior was a cla.ssically-trained pianist. There were three witnesses, all of whom have kept quiet. The present-day deaths were committed in retaliation for those people keeping quiet. The killer of the woman is framed for killing the witnesses.

The present-day killer tries to escape from Stella by taking a woman hostage. Stella saves the day.

There's very little Hawkes and Lindsay mentioned in this one. Not a lot of Flack, either.

The fourth season of CSI: New York starts with Mac returning to the city and jumping into a case that isn't quite what it seems.

According to CSI Files sources, the episode starts with Mac on his way back to New York from London. Unshaven and with a lipstick kiss on his cheek, Mac has to rush to catch his flight and barely makes it to the gate in time. When his plane arrives in Manhattan, Mac is directed to look out the window. Below, he sees the bloodstained face of the Statue of Liberty.

At the crime scene, Mac finds Stella and Flack with the body of Damion Bragg, who was discovered with a piano wire nearby. Back at the lab, Adam is given a piece of metal that Sid pulled out of the victim's throat. While he tries to figure out what the metal is, Kelly Novak, the new lab tech, is able to tell Stella the exact note the piano wire plays and the type of piano that it came from. The two lab techs enjoy some playful competitiveness that hints at their personal relationship outside of work.

When Adam figures out that the metal plate is part of a music box, Stella is able to trace the box back to a pianist named Nova Kent. Stella and Danny enter when the beautiful 24-year-old is doing the sound check for a concert and Danny voices the opinion that he hopes she isn't the killer. Nova says that she has never met Damion Bragg. Stella is annoyed when the young woman is distracted by a flower delivery: black tulips. Nova is shocked to see them.

A visit to Damion Bragg's apartment causes Stella to recall the murder of a young woman that occurred exactly a year before in the same building. When they enter the apartment, they find a second victim. This man, however, is not dead.

    Episode #402 "The Deep"

-Involves a dive instructor showing up dead in the East River

-Everyone seems to be working the same case.

-Hawkes and Danny are diving when something goes wrong and Hawkes ends up stuck. Mac, Stella and Lindsay are watching a video feed of the dive. Lindsay says she can't watch the video feed anymore just before Danny ends up saving him. That is the only indication that something is going on between them.

-The dead diver seems to somehow connect to an assassination attempt on an important Iraqi minister who is in NYC to speak at the UN - there is a bomb put in the minister's helicopter

-Mac and Danny interrogate a suspect - Mac ends up becoming EXTREMELY violent with the suspect (crushing his windpipe) and Danny tries to stop him.

    Lots of Flack.

Lots of Stella. Lots of guys hitting on Stella.

There ends up being two dead diving instructors. The second body is found later on in the episode.

The case also involves forged antique Greek coins and something about a mermaid masthead for a ship. This leads them to initially suspect that the murders are related to stolen/sunken treasure.

Hawkes is pretty banged up after the diving misadventure, but goes back to work. At one point, Danny tries to convince him to head home. I'm not certain if Danny and Hawkes going diving ties in to the search for treasure or a retrieval of the second diver's body.

In episode 402 "The Deep", a character by the name of Drew Becker shows up. He is a fraud consultant, described as being hip and charming...also, he's twenty five. (Go Stella!) He is consulting with Stella on the coin that was found on one of the diver's body. Later in the episode he is helping out on another fraud investigation at the lab and stops by to visit Stella in the lab and flirts with her.

Though I suppose this could be considered still speculation, I find it hard to believe that there will be two fraud experts having more than a professional interest in Stella this season so I believe that Drew Becker is who Ausiello is refering to.

Some fresh blood is turning up on CSI: NY.

Ex-Dawson's Creeker Kerr Smith and Shark's Bess Wohl are joining the cast as recurring players this season.

Smith, last seen in Fox's short-lived Justice, will play Drew Becker, an expert in forged documents and a love interest for Stella (Melina Kanakaredes). "Well, he pretends to be an expert in forged documents," clarifies executive producer Pam Veasey. "He has a mysterious background that we are slowly developing. He's a love interest who has an ulterior motive."

Meanwhile, Wohl, who, in addition to a two-episode stint on Shark has guest-starred on Cold Case and Ghost Whisperer, will play a new lab tech and a good friend of Adam's (A.J. Buckley).

    4-3 "You Only Die Once!"

I'll update in about an hour with details.

A couple things I did notice immediately:
--Danny and Lindsay are working together.
--There's a reference to "Chief Sinclair." Wasn't Mykelti Williamson's character last season named Brigham Sinclair? I think it might be the same guy.

    UPDATED!!!!

    Another single-case epi.

Flack and his girlfriend, a young socialite, are getting it on in the living room of her apartment. They hear a noise from her bedroom. He goes to investigate and sees a burglar. Dude repells out the window. Flack gives chase, even commandeering a taxi. Not long after, this same man is found murdered.

The upper-crust of NYC are being targeted by the "James Bond" gang, who drive exotic sportscars. Initially it's believed that the gang is after money and jewelry. The team eventually discovers the gang is also using state-of-the-art technology to scan laptops, Bluetooths, all that kind of stuff, to steal personal info. One of the gang members was the murderer. Flack and Stella go undercover at a high society party to catch a gang member. Flack's girlfriend is there and teases him a bit about being there, but quickly figures out what's up.

Chief Sinclair (Mykelti's character, presumably) is one of the targets of the gang. An email apparently revealing that he had had an inappropriate sexual relationship with an underling is leaked to the press. He accuses Mac of leaking the email, but Mac denies anyone in his lab is responsible. I'm guessing one of the gang members leaked it.

Sid makes an appearance. Couple of scenes with Hawkes, including a scene where he mistakenly comments that Flack's apartment had been targeted and Flack is VERY quick to correct him. Several scenes with Danny/Lindsay working together and they seem to be having their regular, professional but with bits of teasing banter. Stella's around a lot. Not a lot of Mac. There is a mention that his luggage was lost when he returned from London and he still hasn't gotten it back yet even though a month has passed.

LOTS of Flack. Looks like the episode might begin and end with him and his girlfriend, Devon.
    Kaitlyn wrote:
There were three different sides, the first was: Flack heard something in the bedroom and wanted Devon to call the police and he went looking.

Next was that Flack was on the phone the whole time and she was complaining; she said something like: There have been cops who got arrested for neglecting their girlfriends, or something like that and he promised to make it up to her.

Next was that she admired his tux and wanted to know where he got it. She added that he looked kind of hot...

    From BuddyTV Spoiler Chat

CSI: NEW YORK: In "Your Die Only Once," episode 4.03, we will meet Flack's 25-year-old girlfriend Devon Maddox. She is said to be top of the line and trendy chic. The episode also features James Smyth, a jewelry thief who is also said to be a secret agent and heir to his family's fortune. One crime scene seems to be at "Club Sportiva," a place described as "utopia of expensive cars."

    Kaitlyn wrote:
According to CSI Files sources, "You Only Die Once" starts with a couple getting ready to heat things up, tearing at each other's clothes in the darkness of a penthouse apartment. The man is revealed to be Flack, his date a beautiful young socialite named Devon Maddox. They are interrupted when they hear a noise coming from the next room. Flack asks Devon whether she has a roommate who would be responsible for the sound, and when she shakes her head, he reaches for his gun.

Flack goes down the hall and sees a light on in the bedroom. When he enters the room, gun drawn, he sees a thief balancing on the window ledge, fifty stories from the ground. Flack notices the scar on the man's cheek, but he doesn't get to the window before the other man makes his move. Flack is forced to watch as the thief rappels down the side of the building.

Flack runs out of the bedroom, grabbing his cell phone and telling Devon to call 9-1-1. She seems surprised by the fact that she's had a break-in, but Flack doesn't have time to contemplate her reaction. Instead, he hurries toward the elevator and calls in that he is in pursuit. On the street, Flack sees the thief and his lookout climbing into a black car. He yells for them to stop, but they speed off, forcing him to borrow a cab to stay in the chase.

When dawn comes, we find that the news is all over the story of the latest robberies committed by the James Bond Gang. Flack's chase proved unsuccessful and the thief is still at large. Lindsay and Stella process the bedroom of Devon's penthouse as Flack looks on. Flack describes the thief to Stella and tells her that the car he was driving looked like a Lamborghini.

In the background, Devon is talking enthusiastically on her cell phone about the robbery. Flack wonders aloud if she is in shock or if her reaction is strange. Stella informs him that being robbed by the James Bond Gang will get Devon invited to a lot of events. Proving this point, Devon hangs up her phone and walks over to lean on Flack, informing him that they're on the guest list for a fundraiser. Stella notices something strange about the bedroom: the lights are on. She doesn't understand why a thief would break in during the night and turn on the lights. It's one more question to add to their list of mysteries.

Flack gets a phone call and heads to a different crime scene. Moving past the onlookers and the crime scene tape, he approaches a body. Mac and Hawkes are already here to process, and when they turn the body over, Flack immediately recognizes the scar on the man's cheek. Their thief is now a murder victim.

    Episode 404 "Time's Up"

There are two cases in this episode.

    A Case

    Mac/Hawkes/Lindsay/Flack

Mac and Flack are arriving at the NYPD building when a naked, bleeding man comes up to them and says he travelled to the future and killed a man. Turns out the man he claims to have killed dies the next day at the time he said. He is some sort of genius who calculates the "future"...not quite sure how this works. Apparently the man was involved in some sort of gambling ring.

    B Case

    Danny/Stella/Angell

College co-ed dies in a deli. According to witnesses in the deli she orgasmed to death. She is a sorority pledge who was offered up as a "Virgin Sacrifice" to a fraternity and they gave her this hopped up version of Ecstacy, hence the apparent death by orgasm.

No interaction between DL. Both Adam and Sid appear as well.

Episode 4.04 is titled "Time's Up.

The episode will center around the death of Martin Browning, a math and physics genius who won a Nobel Prize. The episode will also feature Kevin Moody, a sexy and athletic physics grad student; Professor Carl Risenhoover, Martin's mentor; Leo Treiber, a 35-year-old ex-con gambling schemer; and various fratboys and sorority girls.
    Kaitlyn:

The fourth episode of CSI: New York finds Mac trying to solve the case of a man who confesses to murder and then dies, but things become complicated when they learn that his supposed victim is still alive.

According to CSI Files sources, "Time's Up" begins with a man running naked down the street. Panicked, he mutters nonsense under his breath as he darts through traffic and past shocked pedestrians. He is wearing a strange helmet and has electrical wires and gauges across his head, chest and arms. Stumbling around a corner, he catches sight of Mac and Flack about to enter the precinct. Seeing Mac's badge, the man hurries toward them, covered in blood and clearly on death's door. As he clings to Mac in his final moments, the man confesses to the murder of Kevin Moody, a college student at Chelsea University. With his last breath, he whispers something in Mac's ear.

Flack and several uniformed officers rush down the hall in the Chelsea University dorms. Flack forces his way through the door of a specific room and hurries inside. There is no body, no sign of a struggle. The sound of a shower running draws Flack's attention, and he bursts into the bathroom, much to the surprise of its occupant. Flack has found Kevin Moody, but despite their John Doe's murder confession, the young man is alive and well.

Mac and Hawkes process the John Doe, looking at the deep wound on his neck and the contraption he was wearing. Hawkes wonders aloud whether the man might have been insane. Mac sees Flack arrive with Kevin Moody and suggests that they ask him first. Looking at the body, Moody claims that he's never seen the man before. Mac tells him about the murder confession. Moody says that the man was obviously mistaken, but Mac corrects him. Technically, he explains, they wouldn't know for sure until the following day. Their John Doe told Mac that he had travelled through time, and that he had killed Kevin Moody in the future.

Meanwhile, Danny and Stella work with Detective Angell on the case of a college student who died in a deli. The waitress tells Angell that the young woman seemed to be having a spontaneous orgasm right before she died, drawing the attention of the other patrons. The busboy says that there was a young man sitting across from her in the booth--a young man who made a run for it when her ecstasy turned into agony and she began to take her final, panicked breaths.

"Time's Up" is expected to air October 17, 2007.

The crew of CSI: New York looks into the death of a woman who was leading a double life online.

According to CSI Files sources, "Down the Rabbit Hole" finds the New York CSIs investigating the murder of a woman named Cheryl. She has been shot to death and is found with a tick on her body and an action figure nearby. When they look into Cheryl's life in the hopes of finding clues about her death, the team discovers that she had been participating in Second Life as her online alter ego, Venus.

Second Life is an internet phenomenon that allows users to build a new identity for themselves. Represented by three-dimensional avatars, the users are then able to interact with one another, buy virtual land and create businesses. Second Life has its own economy which can be translated into real world profits for members. Business in Second Life may be lucrative for some users, but others use the service to develop deep personal relationships. In "Down the Rabbit Hole", this is the case for Cheryl and another member, Ricky O'dell.

The action figure that is found with Cheryl's body leads them to Ricky. When he first sees detectives at his office, Ricky runs. Once he is caught and brought in for questioning, Stella and Danny ask him about Cheryl. Ricky claims that he has never met her, but he has no trouble identifying a picture of Cheryl's Second Life avatar, Venus. He also identifies the action figure as one that he made so that Venus would recognize him. The pair had been planning to get married in Second Life and were going to meet in the real world, but Ricky chickened out at the last minute.

Stella and Danny aren't convinced. He was planning to meet a woman who ended up dead, he owns a gun and he ran from police when they tried to question him. It all seems very suspicious. Ricky finally admits that he decided not to meet Cheryl in real life because he has multiple sclerosis. In Second Life, he could live a full life and fall in love, but in the real world, he is dying and didn't want to start a relationship knowing how it would end. They ask him about the gun he bought, and he points out that he is young and has a bleak future. He bought the gun for himself, not to hurt anyone else.

Mac and Flack watch the interrogation from the other side of the glass, and Flack notices that Mac seems exhausted. When he asks about the last time Mac slept, the other man claims that he is fine. After a moment, he shares something with Flack: Peyton has decided to stay in London. Back in the interrogation room, Ricky begins to ask his own questions. He wants to know if Venus is in trouble for something. Stella has to tell him that the woman he loves has been murdered, but Ricky doesn't believe her. She can't be dead, he says, because he had been talking to her in Second Life when the detectives first arrived to question him. If he is telling the truth, Mac wants to know why someone is using the avatar of a dead woman.

Because just watching TV is so passé, CSI creator AZ is taking his franchise to a whole new level this fall.

In Second Life, an Internet-based, open-ended virtual world that its residents shape using different tools, fans will soon be able to explore the CSI: NY crime lab without supervision. In the fifth episode of the new season, a killer on the show will escape into Second Life and he will not return to television until spring. In the meantime, the audience can help investigate the crime online.

"What I'm creating is this multimedia, virtual crime lab that will actually take place and be live and active that same weekend for the next year. You'll now be able to actually solve one crime per month, like a real investigator," says Zuiker about his newest creation.

"The future of television in my opinion really is television, mobile, gaming and Internet. If I can incorporate all four of them with the television show as a center conduit, what will happen is that you'll have the younger generation teaching their parents how to do this. CSI: NY will be a wild child in doing that this season." - Reporting by Carita Rizzo"

Question: You said you had "some good news for Danny/Lindsay-shippers." Spill, please!- Rian

Ausiello: Wow, I can't get anything past you guys. According to CSI: NY exec producer Pam Veasey, they will start off the season very much an item. "They are together and their relationship is happy and interesting," she tells me. "And, at some point, which we haven't decided yet, there will be a bump in the road - like any relationship." Veasey adds that unlike a certain high-profile romance on another CSI show, Danny and Lindsay won't be going out of their way to keep their romance a secret from their coworkers. "We're not going to make a big deal about whether people know or don't know," she says. "They played that very well on CSI [with Sara and Grissom]. It's more about seeing that they have this mutual respect. They'll have moments that they share, things that the audience shares with them, but mostly they'll continue to do their jobs and enjoy working together. And then, ultimately, we'll find a little skip in there somewhere."

maybe they're playing it cool with the DL for the first few episodes coz they DID wow us with the DL in Snow Day .. CSI:NY is not only about the DL .. and they need to develop other characters too in case they lose their non-DL viewers .. make sense?

I agree, give them time. As much as I love Danny and Lindsay its not the DL show. I'm sure we'll see something eventually, they're not just going to completely forget them. After THAT finale who could?

It's ok Pixie, I think TPTB wont let us down. I think Season 4 would be challenging for them coz Season 3 really set some really high standards for them.

    Wow spoilers already, thanks!

Sounds like Dannys hand has recovered then and Peyton is no more - interesting. 402 sounds esp interesting I love when danny saves the day and diving scenes are always cool. I am a DL shipper (as you probably know) but I too think it is good they are not shoving it in our faces in the first few episodes, even if there are no big scenes that doesn't mean there won't be any cute little scenes.

Mac losing it with a suspect wonder what is going on there and Danny pulling him out of it - how things change huh!

Glad there is a new lab tech and that Adam is back - not sure about them being an item already though - wonder where they are going with that one.

    Thanks again!

well there doesn't seem anything for the first ep, but there could be for the second. And technically her freaking while watching feed for the dive is enough for me honestly. The finale surpassed my expectations and i wouldn't expect them to keep things like they were in that ep for everyone. And i wouldn't want it too LOL. I watch cause I like the show

And Jenn - I like the theory you gave me on MSN- he met Jane while in London and cheated on Peyton and that's why he came home w/o her. BTW- DID I SOOOO NOT CALL that on who belongs with mac thread?

From what I understand a video feed is like an underwater camera, so the rest of the team can see what Danny and Sheldon are doing. Can't say I agree with you on the Peyton thing, but we don't know for sure shes not coming back. She just doesn't return with Mac, right?
