SourceRumours & Unconfirmed Sources:
-In the Sept. 23 season premiere, we will see that Danny's promotion means he had to leave the lab and return to patrol, where he supervises uniformed officers in his precinct. And as for the Messers' marriage, you will need to wait no longer than Episode 2 to witness how Danny's new gig is affecting things between him and Lindsay.
General Spoilers:
-Season 8 has been picked up for 18 episodes
Source-Have you heard anything about the new season of CSI: NY? - Diane
ADAM: Get ready to finally meet Mrs. Mac Taylor - through flashbacks, of course. I'm hearing the season premiere will find Mac thinking of his beloved Claire more than ever as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 - and her death - rolls around. While a pushy new forensics tech will ask Mac some prying personal questions about his late wife, viewers will get a glimpse at how Claire spent her final hours.

-Anything on CSI: New York's Danny and Lindsay?
We had a feeling you'd want some Danny-Lindsay scoop so we tracked down CSI: New York executive producer Pam Veasey and she told us that Danny's (Carmine Giovinazzo) new promotion makes things a challenge for the married detectives: "They are like ships passing in the night. They have to deal with that and wonder what [the promotion] is worth and then Danny will make a decision about it." Does that mean he'll be returning to the crime lab soon? She says: "It's awhile, it takes awhile. But they do have to talk about it."
-Are we going to see Lucy Messer this season on CSI: New York?
Survey says: Yes! Executive producer Pam Veasey tells us we'll see the littlest Messer again: "But she won't be 19 or anything. She'll be her true age. We won't advance her forward and be like. '[Speaks in adult voice] Hi, Mom.'"

-Is there anything coming up for CSI:NY's Det. Flack?
You might be pleased to hear that the prodigal sister of Detective Flack (Eddie Cahill) will be reappearing in his life. Only time will tell if she's still on the wagon or perhaps face down on the sidewalk. We think it's safe to say that she'll bring some drama to the CSI: New York detective's life because no long lost siblings ever show up just to check-in or grab a drink-er, coffee

Episode 8x01 'Indelible' Spoilers:
-For those in doubt, everyone is back. That includes Mac, Jo, Lindsay, Danny, Flack, Hawkes, Adam and Sid-
-Can't figure out the case details too much but it seems an attempted robbery at a bar turns fatal.
The episode features scenes that brings viewers to Mac's past. Mac meets up with a fire chief who also lost someone on 9/11. It appears Mac now works at a lab that tests DNA from 9/11. If you remember the ending of "Blink" this episode kind of goes there at the end.
-It appears there's a new recurring character named Hannah.
-The team is minus one during the investigation: Mac. It's unclear whether he joins back in this episode or not, but at the end of the investigation Jo, Danny, Lindsay (who shares a kiss with Danny), and Adam are the only ones working together.
-Cassidy Freeman is to guest-star in 8x01 where she will play a bartender whose male co-worker is killed in a robbery gone bad
Source-Danny is referred to as Sgt Messer, so he definitely took the promotion - not sure how that will work out with his team interaction, but he's working the case with them in the premiere, so I don't think we'll be seeing any less of him.
-It appears that several months have passed since the finale.
-The team plans to attend a ceremony for a project Mac has been working on for the past few months - the project relates to 9/11 victims.
-An open-and-shut robbery/homicide proves more complicated than anyone had anticipated.
-Claire is in the episode, shown in flashbacks.
-Hannah is a potentially recurring character. She's a forensics technician who is book brilliant but a bit lacking in social skills.
-The episode was written by Zachary Reiter and John Dove and will be directed by Frederick E.O. Toye.
-The episode starts off with a flashback to September 11th. It's 7:30 in the morning and Mac is in the bathroom shaving. He nicks his face and blood drops down. Claire teases him by pretending to call 911 and making fun of the fact that he's listening to N'Sync. It then comes back to the present with Mac standing in front of the mirror with his American flag pin and the TV talking about the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

-The season eight premiere of CSI: New York will honor the tenth anniversary of September 11th in a way that is very personal for leading man Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise). As New York viewers learned during the pilot episode, "Blink", Mac's wife Claire died in the World Trade Center on 9/11. It has been ten years since the tragedy, and the crime drama will give Mac some emotional material during the season premiere. According to TV Line and TV Guide, Claire will be featured in flashbacks that offer a glimpse of the hours leading up to the attack. A new forensic tech named Hannah will make things more difficult for Mac by asking questions about his late wife.

-It looks like several months have passed since the finale. Mac left the department, and he has been working on a memorial to honor the first responders who died on 9/11. Mac worked on the project with a retired Fire Chief named John Vincent, who lost two sons that day, and they have become close friends.
-There will be a ceremony to unveil the memorial, and the rest of the team plans to go to support Mac.
-Mac also spends time at a laboratory that tests the remains of 9/11 victims to extract DNA that will help with identification. It looks like he works there, along with a young woman named Hannah.
-Mac thinks about Claire several times throughout the episode.
-I'm guessing Jo is in charge now.
-As for the case itself: a man is shot outside of a bar after a robbery gone wrong.
-There will also be a flashback featuring Sid on 9/11. He was working at a makeshift morgue near Ground Zero.
Source.
-The season premiere will mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, which means it's going to be an emotional episode for Mac who, as you know, lost his wife in the attacks. It doesn't help matters that the new forensics tech Hannah - who's book-smart but socially inept - starts hounding him with questions about his missus' passing. BTW, word on the street is several pivotal scenes will be shot on location in New York.

-"Indelible" picks up four months after the season seven finale. It has been exactly ten years since September 11, 2001, and Mac cannot help but think back to that fateful day. He spent the morning with his wife, Claire; she teased him as he shaved to get ready for work, and Mac surprised her with tickets to the opera. They were going to go that night, and Claire was excited. They were very much a couple in love, going about their lives with no clue that tragedy would befall them just a few short hours later.
-In the present, Mac goes to work at Piper Laboratories, a private DNA lab. He left the New York Crime Lab four months ago, and his new job gives him the opportunity to help others who lost loved ones during the attack ten years ago. Piper Laboratories tests the remains of 9/11 victims, and they are trying to develop new DNA extraction techniques that will allow them to identify victims and give families some much-needed closure.
-Mac works alongside a brilliant young lab tech named Hannah McCray, who has a lot of book smarts but spends too much time behind a microscope. She asks him about Claire, and she wonders if he's working at Piper Laboratories because he's hoping his research will help identify his wife's remains. Mac explains that it isn't just about him; there are more than 1,000 unidentified victims from 9/11, and he understands their families' pain all-too-well. The lab has only identified one victim in the past year and a half, but Mac knows that giving even one more family closure makes all of the hard work worthwhile.
-Mac has also spent the past four months working on a project to honor heroes who lost their lives on 9/11. His former colleagues in the New York Crime Lab hope to close their latest case in time to attend the unveiling ceremony and show their support. The case finds the remaining CSIs working alongside Sergeant Danny Messer on a robbery gone tragically wrong. Two men wearing hooded sweatshirts and sunglasses barged into a bar late at night, robbing the patrons and killing Sean Pearson, the man stationed at the door.
-The team is able to track the suspects down by tracing the cellphones they stole from the people in the bar. Danny and Flack burst into the apartment with a pair of uniformed officers, catching them in possession of the stolen goods and several guns. When they bring the suspects in for questioning, the men seem surprised to learn that Sean is dead. They may have robbed the place, but they claim they didn't shoot anybody. It doesn't sound believable, but the evidence may prove that someone else pulled the trigger

-Claire Taylor will be played by Former General Hospital and Eastwick star Jaime Ray Newman. She will appear in flashbacks during the show's Season 8 premiere, which honors the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
-According to executive producer Pam Veasey:"We're taking all of our characters back to that day. You get to see them together. You see why Claire loved Mac, and why Mac loved her."
-Mac's moments of reflection may offer him some inspiration to look for love again. A few women in the past pursued Mac, this time he might be the pursuer
Source.
-Mac will be shown interacting with his wife in flashbacks and fans will get a glimpse of what some of the other characters were doing on that day as well. However, not everyone will get the flashback treatment. Lindsay was in Montana so her point of view was all through the television. Adam was in New York. But you don't see his flashback.
-One of the flashbacks will feature Danny and Flack and it will capture the moment these two met in front of the World Trade Center, and the events of 9/11 created a lifelong bond between them

-Thanks so much for coverage/spoilers of #CSINY! Anything else we can squeeze out of you? Danny/Lindsay, Flack or ...?
You are very welcome. And we have more! We asked Anna Belknap about her favorite moment in premiere, she told us: "The first episode had a nice scene between Lindsay and Adam, which I thought was really sweet. He has a really touching monologue about where he was on 9/11 and it's... painful."

Episode 8x02 'Keep It Real' Spoilers:
-A young man named Michael winds up dead on the floor of his apartment, and his girlfriend Miranda is distraught. She was there when he was shot, but she didn't see the killer, and Michael wasn't able to tell her who it was before he died.
-Michael and Miranda have only known each other for a few weeks. They met at the vintage music store where she works. Michael and his roommate Josh were arguing over music, and Miranda joined the conversation. She and Michael hit it off immediately. She admired a vintage guitar hanging nearby, which had a $1500 price tag. She couldn't afford it, but Michael pulled the money together to get it for her.
-Mac is back in the lab.
-Danny and Lindsay have at least one personal scene, and as this season will find him supervising uniformed officers instead of working in the lab with his wifewe we'll see how they're adjusting to Danny's promotion.
-Jo's son Tyler is back, he and his mom discuss his new roommate.
-Aly Michalka will appear in episode 8x02 and will play a rocker named Miranda. The character gets questioned by the CSIs after her boyfriend is murdered
Source.
-The second episode of CSI: New York's eighth season will find the CSIs searching for a killer after a young man is shot in his apartment, and his roommate is nowhere to be found.
-Keep It Real" opens in a club, where a beautiful young woman named Miranda (guest star Aly Michalka) is playing the guitar and singing on stage. She makes eye contact with Michael, one of the guys in the crowd. She singles him out as if they're the only ones there. Michael is clearly falling for this woman: everybody in the club wants her, but she's only interested in him. Michael's roommate and best friend Josh walks up and hands him a drink. Josh is clearly trying to be cool, but he's failing. He points out that Michael must be in love, and Michael wonders if it was all worth it.
-Unfortunately, the happiness can't last. Michael is shot to death in his apartment while Miranda is in the bedroom. She runs out of the bedroom and kneels beside Michael on the floor, getting blood all over herself, but she can't save him. He tries to say something before he dies, but the words won't come out.
-The team speaks to Miranda, and she admits that she's only known Michael for a few weeks. They met in the record store where she works. Michael and Josh were having a disagreement about music, and Miranda jumped into the conversation. She and Michael immediately hit it off, and Michael noticed her admiring an expensive guitar on the wall. He later bought it for her.
-The team can't locate Josh, so they don't know if he's a suspect or another potential victim. They find a jar of lotion used for people with new tattoos, and they know it belongs to Josh since Michael didn't have any ink. If they figure out what kind of tattoo he has, they can use it to put out a description to help track him down. Flack speaks to the owner of the tattoo parlor, Chad, who admits that he remembers Josh-it would be hard to forget a guy who paid $1000 to get a giant dolphin tattoo on his back. While he got the tattoo done, Josh complained to Chad about his roommate's new girlfriend and how she was ruining their friendship.
-Things get more complicated when the team discovers that counterfeit money may be involved. Meanwhile, Jo gets together with her son Tyler (Cody Longo, "Identity Crisis"), and the pair has a chat about his new roommate. Also, Danny and Lindsay are still adjusting to Danny's new job as Sergeant, which keeps him on the street and away from the lab.

Episode 8x03 'Cavallino Rampante' Spoilers:
-Danny briefs the uniformed officers under his command, explaining that they've been asked to help track down a ring of car thieves who specialize in Ferraris. They're looking for two 20-something young women who work together to steal the cars. Meanwhile, the women in question, Nicole and Michelle, are heading down the street looking for their latest target.
-After the briefing, Danny heads out with a young officer named Lauren Chambers. She drives, and Danny sits shotgun. She tries to ask about his job at the Crime Lab and whether it was boring compared to life on the beat, but he doesn't offer much information. Instead, he instructs her to head into a parking garage. Car thieves sometimes leave vehicles in a public place to make sure there isn't a tracking device to lead the police to them: if the car is still there after a few days, they're in the clear. Danny and Lauren see a Ferrari, which seems out of place. They approach the car slowly. They don't see a driver, but there's a body stuffed inside: it's Michelle.
-Danny isn't reacting very well to being in charge. He's not just trying to keep himself out of trouble now, he's also got 15 other people under his command to watch out for. Lauren makes a series of minor mistakes, and Danny loses his temper with her. Mac comes to see him and takes him out for coffee, telling him it isn't easy being the boss and that Danny can't be too hard on himself if it takes a while to become a good leader.
