Goof: When Stella processes the canister, there's a piece of skin on it but its position changes when she looks through the magnifying glass.
Goof: It is said in the episode that the staff was told to wear gloves when they are handling the bottles, however at several points in the opening scene they show several of the waiters not wearing gloves while holding the ice bottles.
A first hint of a possible secret and somehow dark past of Lindsay is given. Its revelation can become an interesting plot line and will give the character some background. It's been a year since she joined the team and there's hardly anything known about her family or her private life.
It's not clear why Lindsay agreed to go on date with Danny only to stand him up without even a call. If she had second thoughts about it, she could have called and cancelled. It sounds out of character of Lindsay to be that rude.
The shirt Danny is wearing in the flashback when he says: it's been a while since I've been stood up is the same shirt he is wearing when he is with Lindsay and is examining the evidence - implying their date was for that night.
Danny: Lindsay Monroe! Can I talk to you for a second? Lindsay: Yeah. Danny: I have to know what's going on with you (Lindsay sighs) Ok I mean, you and I have this thing right? This chemistry, like we're into each other, but every time we were in the same room today it's like... (Lindsay stares at the floor) Don't tell me you don't feel it also. Lindsay: I can't do this Danny. Danny: Can't do what? Lindsay: I can't be in a relationship with you. Danny: I'm not I just- I just- I don't... I'm talking about spending some time together, dinner, a few drinks, some laughs. Lindsay: Look Danny... I like you... a lot, but right now I can't. It's not you okay? It's... I need to be by myself so I can... work some stuff out... that I thought I had... put behind me... I didn't mean for this to happen. Danny: It's okay. Lindsay: Maybe we should just do our jobs. (Lindsay starts walking away) Danny: If there's anything you need from me, just let me know, ok?
Stella: ...But as in all things illegal- Mac: There are people who just have to have one.
Danny: Colin Flynn? Colin: Yeah, that's me. Danny: NYPD, we got a couple of questions for you, alright? Colin: Do I have to answer? Flack: I'm a cop, not a lawyer... but yeah, you do.
Sid: An interesting case... Tonya Nettles was stone cold sober. Danny: Aren't most people when they're at work Sid? Sid: I'll ignore the implications of your question Detective.
Sid: ...Cause of death was not natural, he was in superb shape, lungs, heart, all the vital organs are near perfect. Mac: So you're saying... he's actually still alive?
Danny: It's been a long time since I've been stood up on a date. (camera flashbacks to Danny sitting at a restaurant waiting) Lindsay: Sorry Danny, something came up. Danny: Your phone's not working? Lindsay: I'm really sorry. Danny: Are we alright? Lindsay: Yeah, sure.
(Sid and Mac are talking how he was killed by carbon monoxide rather than cyanide) Sid: Just my opinion, but cyanide seems a much simpler way to kill someone. Mac: Murder's never simple, Doctor.
(Stella and Hawkes walk into Mac's office) Hawkes: Autopsy results? Mac: This is a good one. A runner who somehow has frostbite on his face in 90 degree heat, who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the middle of Central Park. (Mac smirks) Stella: (As Hawkes looks dumbfounded) That's just...(she thinks for a brief second) Not possible.
Mac: Looks like he was pushed, hit his head on the curb. Stella: With all the crap on the ground, he could have easily lost his footing. Mac: Lost more than his footing.
(Danny and Lindsay find a print off one of the ice bottles) Lindsay: The manager said that everybody who handled the ice bottles was told to wear gloves. Danny: Everybody but our killer.
(Looking up) Lindsay: She was stabbed with an icicle? Danny: That's cold. Mac: Not cold enough. Our evidence is about to turn into a big pool of water. (Icicle melting)
Stella: What makes someone want to run 26.2 miles anyway?
(Danny and Lindsay are walking) Lindsay: So what else do we got? Danny: Wanna get some lunch? Lindsay: Danny, Mac wants us to wrap this up. Danny: Sure, but he doesn't want us to starve to death. Lindsay: What else did Adam say? Danny: What do you mean? Lindsay: I mean, that's who you were talking to, right? Danny: Yeah, but what makes ya think he said anything else? (Lindsay stops and puts her hands on her hips, he stops and looks at her) Wh…What I just wanna go get something to eat! (he pauses) Alright…that gum you found, matched it to the dental impressions from the vic, nothing. Lindsay: DNA and teeth impressions were both negative? Danny: Negative. Lindsay: I'm gonna go back and look at the gum. Danny: No no no no no, Adam looked at the gum! I Just wanna grab a slice! I'm starvin' here!

Hawkes: (As Stella puts her hand into a dish of liquid) You're soaking in it. This is an allusion to the Palmolive dish washing detergent ads from the '70s with the character Madge the Manacurist who would put her customer's hands in a dish of Palmolive detergent, then tell them: "You're soaking in it".
