THE BEGINNING:
This proves to be a very great episode from the beginning. We have TWO count them TWO Supermen. We have the one football player, and the second who actually thinks he is Superman. And we see the empty clothes in phone booth. And glasses. Greaaaaat. I love their expressions when they see it. I love how this series inserts humor into everything.
THE CASES:
There was the first superman, who saved the one guy's life. Actually, as it turns out, he has saved a lot of people's lives. Awww. He is such a sweetie. And it's touching to see how he had an affect on everyone's lives. I loved how as Mac pointed out, it seems he wasn't fit to take care of himself, hence being in the special needs home, but when he put his everything to it, he could take care of others. It was a very sweet comment (I love Mac!)
This case was increasingly interesting (both cases were actually). I loved the bit with the Kryptonite. My response immediately was "What? Noo waaaay. It can't be." I didn't like how Mac calls him a vigilante, I loved how Stella stood up for him. I also loved Stella's reaction the kryptonite, "that explains everything." The writers on this series are geniuses at times. I swear. I loved his name Clark Kranen. Really, so much like Clark Kent. Then we find out why he "is how he is" as Mac puts it. Clark fell out of a building when trying to be like Superman.
Sup's getting his money from his brother. The krypton was from the fluorescent lighting he broke. Then we meet Clark's older brother and we really feel for him. I loved how Mac talked to him and how he says he believes Clark saved the money because he knew his brother would need it some day. So sweet. At first I thought the brother was a jerk but then I fell for him. The poor guy was just down on his luck. The other mental ward patients looking at them and watching them was great. They have super hero names too. They were friends with Clark and said how Clark knew there was something up in the hospital and Justice would be served. Then we have the jerk of an orderly who actually killed him. Ugh that made me so angry. I hate it when people make fun of others after "playing nice."
Then there was the case with the football superman. I loved the bits with Danny and Lindsay, they did great on this case. There were also twists here. Lindsay was right, Victor did not bleed out: air was forced into the blood stream. The number on his chest was a bit creepy. I understood the chick did it cause she thought oooo sexy. No. That's creepy. Stalker creepy. Weirdo.
This one was great if only for the DL scenes. Hahah no. it was so sad to see the father in the very end. I loved how Danny didn't yell at him. He just said, I'm sorry for your daughter. Very sweet. It's sweet that while he knows yeah he killed a man, I mean well the football star did basically kill his girl and just left her there. And then he didn't even get punished, just some community service because they didn't want to ruin his chances. Too bad they didn't know about his knee. GOD. That upset me.
FAVORITE SCENES:
First definitely had to be the bit with Danny and Lindsay where Lindsay is reciting facts of the dead football hero and Danny is shocked she likes football. Then he tells her it's dangerous since he might ask her to marry him. So cute!!
Then there was the ending with the super men. Mac gets the call after talking to the brother, Flack is in an awesome chase scene (I love his expressions in those!), Lindsay is working with ballistics and shooting guns to get test shots, Hawkes is working with some cool X-RAY thing. MWAHAH he is awesome. Danny is giving footballs from the superman football player to kids, (AWW!) And then end with Stella and Mac on another case... and they are ducking under crime scene tape⦠(That sent shivers down my spine! I love them!!)
DL FAN CRAZINESS:
What is up with Danny constantly asking Lindsay for food? An obvious sign of affection. He constantly wants to go have lunch with her. AND WHY does she always say NO?!
OVERALL:
This was a great episode. Both cases were great additions to the series. Both cases displayed a vital fact of society. I loved both cases because they let you feel for the people. There was some great acting in this episode as well. Both by the brother and the father. And of course, our super men (and women).
