Well, this is the second episode of CSI:NY that I've seen and it was really good. I think I missed some of the character things because I haven't seen other episodes. For starters, I have no idea who Claire is so I didn't know Reed's relationship to Mac. Anyways, the story was interesting. A cab man was killing people and it turned out that he thought he was some religious savior person. The whole idea of the blog and the source being the killer was interesting. I liked how each character reacted differently to the situation. Overall, another good episode and I can't wait to see another.
A cab screeches to a stop in front of the police precinct, almost running down Detective Flack in the process. A dead body falls out, and Mac must decide if the Cabbie Killer is really dead, or if this is just a ruse.
I really liked this episode of CSI:NY. It started out strong, even though we all knew that Cabbie Jimmy was NOT the Cabbie Killer; that would be way too easy and so very anticlimatic. Once the Cabbie Killer kidnapped Reed, the episode became extremly suspenseful. Mac's frustration and aggrevation was convincing enough to instill the same emotions in the viewer. What was most suspenseful was the fact that Reed is (not to me) an expendable character. It is easy to imagine a new story line with Mac's anger over Reed's death, and the viewer could never be sure if he would live. It would have been very different if, say, Mac himself had been kidnapped. Every viewer would know that there was no way that Mac Taylor would be killed off, so the suspense level wouldnt be there.
This episode was one of the best in a while. I found it to be really exciting! Trying to find out whether reed surviving and I love how reed gave clue to Mac that was really great of him!!! I wish I remember when he first came, my family did but I don't.
Love the chemist with Mac and Reed, hope to see more of reed in future season, that be great!
Great to see Quinn Shelby (Kristen Dalton) acting, she was in dead zone.
Love this episode, have seen better season from csi ny maybe that is also because I like Danny and Lindsay together as a couple, their chemist is still good, but it isn't the same when they are not together, and I can't believe… only one more episode till this season is over…
Finally the "Tax Cab Killer" is caught. Using state of the art high tech equipment and good CSI/Detective work Mac & company race against the clock to save Reid from the "Taxi Cab Killer", but he gets away. Reid gives Mac an idea of where he was when he was bound and locked up in the killers trunk with his latest victim. Mac uses the information to find the "Taxi Cab Killer" in an abandoned fire station in New Jersey. The "Taxi Cab Killer" thought he was doing God's work by killing people and helping them to pass across the river of Styx.
This was a great episode and conclusion to this story line. The way Mac analyzes things and is able to pick out clues makes him in my opinion the best CSI Detective from all of the CSI Shows.
I was happy to see the taxi killer finally get caught. The guy is nuts, as I thought. I was shocked when Reed was free. I was expecting him to be a victim after he'd gotten into the cab in a previous episode. Still, it didn't take long before he was, indeed a victim.
Reed is extremely annoying. He's not even Mac's stepson and he's always nagging, as if he's entitled to something from Mac. His character gradually became worse and worse so that I was hoping he'd get killed off the show. After he was captured, however, I felt bad for the dumb kid. I think he's learned his lesson.
I think it was cool how Reed since the team clues on his blog. That saved his life. I thought the episode was very good. I'm happy to see this story line get rapped up. I feel that it should have been rapped up sooner. There were one too many episodes that mentioned the taxi killer. I loved how Mac was read at the hospital and also when Reed was discharged from the hospital but it's strange that Reed's own parents weren't there. I loved how the team supported Mac, knowing how involved with and attached he is to Claire's son.
This episode starts off with the effects of the cabbie killer and everyone having to change the way that they travel. As Flack is taking in a suspect he nearly gets hit by a cab, and as the cab speeds past a body falls out. Flack chases him but loses him. Is this another victim of the cab killer? We discover that the victim was actually a cop from Jersey. Quinn from Jersey CSI assists the team with the murder. They track down where the cab might have been from due to the oil used (G-oil). It is discovered that the cop wasn't killed by the cab killer. And he was moonlighting as a cabdriver. The team believe that he may have been cabbie killer. On an internet blog the carvings on the back of the necks of victims, is being reported and the blog turns out to be Reid's. It is discovered that Jim (the dead cop) was killed by three people from the cab company which he worked for. Due to a blog, they believed that he was the cabbie killer. Mac goes to meet Reid, but it's too late. He's gone. His bag is on the floor and his keys are in the door. But we see him in the boot of the cabbie's car. The cabbie picks up a passenger and traps her inside. Reid is still in the boot. The cabbie killer then puts her lifeless body in the boot with Reid. We then see Reid in an abandoned warehouse with the killer, and Reid writes on his blog about the killer and being with him. Reid is tied up and the killer is talking to him, whist carving into his latest victim. Reid doesn't know the name of the victim but he calls her Claire perhaps a message to Mac. The Dictaphone is Reid's back pack is a taping of Reid talking to the cabbie killer, only he doesn't know it. The way Reid is writing his blog, has clues in it for Mac, which he puts together all the clues and goes to find him at a location, which turns out to be a brewery. They find the killer with a victim wrapped up, in his arms. He drops her and runs, we chase after him. The cabbie killer goes to the roof and jumps. Stella finds Reid; he's not in good shape. They track down the killer to another one of his warehouses's and arrest him. It is discovered that the cravings on the necks were for a quote from the bible.
I liked the twists and surprises that were revealed. After last week we thought Reed would be a goner and he almost was just not in the way we thought. The twist that the cabbie killer was Reed's source was an interesting development. I liked the idea of the copy cat case. Mac being involved as much as he was trying to capture the serial killer was great. Especially when Reed almost became a victim. I think I expected a little more with all the hype and build up, of what I'm not really sure. But overall a good episode.
It wasn't my favourite chapter....the truth is that I loved the beginning: Angell saving Flack from being hit by a cab. It started promising but ended quitre disappointing. I have to confess that I was quite surprised when I saw Reed going out of the coffee shop, I thought he had been kidnapped by the end of last chapter!! Mac knows a lot about everything and he is never wrong and that pisses me off a little. There was too many Mac and Stella in that chapter and I'm sure that the finale is going to be the same...There were some team moments that I loved but they were too short and I didn't like the conclusion to the cabbie killer, but it's CSI:NY and I always like the chapters but this one is one of the less I enjoyed this season...
And the Mac/Reed latest moments were totally not necessary!! As someone already said, REED has parents!! Why is Mac at the hospital and why is Mac the one that accompanies him home??
I hope the finale is a TEAM chapter although my expectatives are not very high...
So it's been a couple weeks since the introduction of the newest big bad: the taxi cab killer and after working nonstop, our CSIS finally have a final clash with the killer. This episode had me glued to my tv from start to finish. For a while I actually believed that the cop was the killer. That was a great sidetrack. The Flack/ Angel scene was awesome and i really enjoyed seeing Quinn again. They need to make her a recurring character. Even in the midst of a big case she still brings that feisty comical vibe. I also loved how they mixed mytholgy in with the killer. They have done it in CSI and Cold Case and it never gets old. Despite the good, I do have some complaints. The beginning scene with Reed really messed me up. I remember thinking did I miss something? The kidnapping plot was suspensful and I seriously thought Reed was dead for a second there. Also, where were his parents? you'd think they would make an appearence ehen there son was kidnapped by a serial killer but thats just my opinion. All in all, a good episode worth watching. Can't wait for the season finale!
Mac is sure having trouble with his son interfering with the case. Good episode and waiting patiently for the next one. CSI Miami is my favorite and this show is a close second.
This was a good episode. It kept me on the edge of my chair. Mac is sure having problems with his son. What a little snot. No respect actually and little know it all kid. And now he has gotten himself into on fine mess. I am not a fan of the media as it is and his son is one of the reasons I don't like the press. Well, his son has a story to tell now if he makes it. And he won't care how many lives he puts into jeopardy to get his story the little brat. It appears Mac is getting tired of his sons tactics also.
