Season 1 Episode 18

The Dove Commission

Aired Friday 9:00 PM Mar 23, 2005 on CBS

  • Trivia

    • Goof: Stella refers to TARU as the "Tactical Assistance Response Unit" and then the shot cuts to a sign that reads "Technical Assistance Response Unit."

    • Goof: Twice, Mac refers to an automated toll system called "Pass N' Go." In the New York metropolitan area, this technology does exist, but it is called an "E-ZPass."

    • Goof: On Gavin Arnold's business card, the zip code is listed as "10467" (which is in the Bronx), but the area code is "212," which is a Manhattan area code. This is inconsistent.

    • Goof: If a gun is on a small helicopter, because of recoil, it would take a reasonable length of time to get the balance back in order to make an effective second shot. There is no way that the second shot could have been as accurate as it was.

  • Quotes

    • (At the lab)
Chad: This is the sticky disc used to sample the precinct chief's hands, this is the shell casing that Stella found at the scene, next, I'm gonna run the SEM, for GSR, for Y-O-U.
Mac: Skip the poetry Chad, get to it.

    • Danny: How's it going with the gypsy cab driver? Did you bring him back to life so he can just tell us who killed him?
Hawkes: I haven't attended that seminar yet.

    • (Danny is questioning a Mr. Arnold who just admitted to being at a strip club.)
Danny: I'm sure you were just sharing stock tips with her, right? What's her name?
Mr. Arnold: Savannah. But you know? I don't think it was her real name.
      Danny: Nah. You think?

    • Morty: No. No. Forget it. No. No way pal. "Vultures", I think was the term? No. You got a better chance of going to the moon than getting that footage out of me.
Flack: Look, Morty? NYPD wants that reel.
      Morty: I know my rights.
Flack: You're going to make me subpoena you on footage that's already aired?
Morty: No you're wrong, see, cause I haven't aired everything. I got enough footage to cut together exclusives for three days, maybe four. I got it! Murder on the 65th floor! That's worth a 6-share. Monster demos in that 18-49.
Flack: Alright, I'll be back with a subpoena. And a muzzle.

    • Mac: Listen, Donna, I know it's customary for high ranking officials in the NYPD to get a prelim copy of the Dove Commision Report. Little Bird told me that Lou's got one is that true?
Donna: Yes it's true. But I can't let you take it. He'll kill me.
Mac: Well if he kills you, I'll be the one processing your crime scene so I'll know it's him, right?

    • Hawkes: Know what my favorite game was when I was a kid?
      Mac: Jacks?
      Hawkes: Operation.
      (Hawkes digs out the bullet)
Mac: His nose didn't buzz red. Well done.

    • Aiden: (walking into a strip club) Holy boob jobs, Batman.
