After a strong episode last week involving a blood-worshipping group we had another gimmicky, though enjoyable episode about racing, and featured the biggest star in indy racing Danica Patrick. While the show has been victim of a little bit of stuntcasting as of late you can't go wrong with Danica being involved. I mean, this isn't Kim Kardashian we're talking about.

CSI: NY has been very good the past few weeks. They haven't overloaded us with forensics jargon and they haven't ried too hard to be funny. Just straight up cases, a few twists thrown in and a good explanation in the end. That's all you can ask for from a show like this.

Ok... It was a good one but again no continuity... there is no mention to Danny's badge nor his back, no mention of Shane Casey... but at least this week we had Adam and Lindsay back... No Sid, though..

The case was a little bit boring but maybe it's because I don't like cars that much... I liked a lot the bits with Adam, Lindsay and Danny putting back together the car. Hawkes did all the lab work and ME work too and Flack seems more fond of casual clothes now... and I'm not complaining! Some little DL moments with Danny calling Lindsay his girl, darling and sweetie... Adam was funny as always, specially when he ruined Danny's 'Boom' moment!

Good Stella and Mac moment at the end. Danica did a good job... but after all she was playing herself more or less...

Am I the only one that found Danny incredibly hot all dirty, fixing the car, showing a little of armporn?? I drooled a little bit!

All in all a good chapter but not my favorite, and definitely not enough to keep me happy for the next weeks break!
  • While running a two car exhibition race, legendary driver Davi Santos' car bursts into flames. Santos' racing gear protects him from the fire, but inhaling the flames causes serious damage to his lungs which ultimately kills him. Mac investigates.

This episode was not the best the season had to offer, but it is entertaining and worth your time despite its flaws. I think it was a good idea to keep Danica Patrick's screen time to a minimum because it's obvious that acting is not her specialty. Danica should definitely not quit her day job. The character of Davi Santos came across as too contrived for me. His dialogue right before he went up in flames seemed a bit silly. The biggest flaw had to be when Mac and Stella decide to race. Nobody can just drive a race car.
