  • A naked man, bleeding profusely and wearing a strange looking electronic device, runs into the police precinct and tells Mac he killed a man 24 hours in the future and then dies. Elsewhere, an attractive college girl dies a strange death in a deli.moreless

While I liked this episode and thought the two cases panned out well, this is not one of the better episodes of this series. The investigation of the death of the physicist was a little too farfetched for me (especially when the reason for his genius was discovered). I would like to know why the producers of the CSI shows feel it's neccessary to have the lead characters unlucky at love. I was very disappointed when it was revealed Peyton dumped Mac. Claire Forlani was a good addition to the show. Her loss will definitely be felt in the future.moreless
  • Ha! I knew that guy had something to do with it all!

Time travel. There's an interesting episode. Once again, I wasn't thinking outside the box. I love how they just take something fictious and apply a scientific reason behind it. Ouch, a needle in the head, that would hurt so much. Lol, my favourite character this episode was definitely Sheldon. His eyes just lighting up when he figures out who their first victim is. I feel only a smidge of pity for Tyler when he didn't mean to kill Browning. Other than that, I hope he gets help for his gambling problem.

Sexual enhancement? No thank you. But what a way to go. Wow, those pickles are HUGE. That girls is so stupid. Never mess with a person's medication like that, even if your intentions are "innocent" at best.

Peyton, you b!tch! I can't believe she sent that Dear John letter. Looks like there's definite hope for the SMacked fans. No stalker this episode. Guess the writers want to spread his/her appearances out carefully. Note, this from a Spoiler-Virgin, so I know nothing about his intentions.moreless
  • two weird cases...

Before a man dies he says that he kills another man in 24 hours. Interesting...it turned out that he was experamenting in time travel and he had two helpers, one of which killed him and the other helper. I thought the case was really weird and unrealistic, but still was a bit interesting. The other case was about a woman that died after an orgasm . . . I thought it was funny watching all of the interviews about the drug. Overall, this episode's stories were interesting and weird. It was sad how Mac's girlfriend broke up with him; poor guy.moreless
  • Excelente

I practically wet myself from laughing when I heard that CSI NY were doing a time travel episode. I thought yeah right love to see how they do this and if I'm honest it was intriguing and nothing like I thought it would be. I actually enjoyed this episode and how freaky was that when the guy died at the time time the first dead guy predicted. I just think that even though CSI NY seems to have weird storylines that the show remains strong and gets stronger and stronger as the seasons go by. I hope that there will be more intriguing episodes to come.moreless
  • TPTB have been reading the pics thread again...

Death by orgasm? They stole our idea! Tut tut, TPTB. We should get some for of compensation. How about a night with Mr. Giovinazzo? That'd suit me just fine.

The first case left me puzzled. I wouldn't have been able to predict the outcome in 1,000,000 years. Kudos to them for their originality! The B case (finally!) was short but sweet. I see Jennifer is back! 'So did you give him your number?' Ah, Danny, you slay me. Also, LONG LIVE SMACKED! Yes, I am sad for Mac, but now Stella has a chance to worm her way in there! Just look out for the crazy stalker dude.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (9)

    • Goof: It is stated that Kevin Murray will be killed at 9:45. When Mac stands by the dead body, he looks at his watch. It is 9:45 and he says:

Mac: (Looking at his watch) I'll be damned, he's right on schedule.

It actually must have taken some time for the police to be called and arrive to the scene, so Kevin was murdered before 9:45.

    • When Kevin Murray is thrown out of a window, he lets out a Wilhelm scream just before he lands on the pavement.

    • Peyton Driscoll, Mac's girlfriend sends Mac a letter breaking up with him and saying that she's remaining in England and that she's taking a job there. Claire Forlani was unavailable to film any scenes so she recorded a voiceover.

    • This is the second episode where a Chelsea University student is featured. The first one was Risk, season 2 episode 13.

    • Flack grew up in Queens and he has a brother. This is inconsistent with the character's old bio on the CBS website where he was described as being from Yonkers.

    • Lindsay is a 3rd grade hopscotch champion.

    • Goof: When Danny and Stella are processing around the victim, her fingers are first rigid. Then, in the second shot of the vic, her hands are relaxed, and in the third shot, they're ridged again.

    • Mac sits in with Will Dailey in the closing while he performs Rise. Nice to see his bass work. The song Rise is from the album Back Flipping Forward.

    • If you listen closely, the sound the time machine makes while in operation is the famous sound made by Doctor Who's time travel vehicle the TARDIS while traveling through time and space.

  • QUOTES (26)

    • Flack: We all agree here, right? Time travel only happens in the movies, or under the influence of certain controlled substances?

    • Mac: Probability... there's usually choices to make. Maybe Kevin didn't have one.

    • Stella: Turns out it's an experimental sexual enhancement drug, only available in clinical trials.
Danny: Don't look at me, I don't need it.
Stella: You're too old anyway, it's currently being tested on students at Chelsea University's health center.
Danny: Argh, it's like throwing gas on a raging hormonal fire.

    • Danny: So far we're not hearing COD.
Sid: I see you're not much for foreplay, very well...

    • Mac: There's a fine line between genius and insanity.

    • Flack: (looking at the time machine) The thing looks like an electric chair with mood lighting.

    • Danny: (To kid) You know, for a smart kid, you're a real bonehead. Let's go.

    • (After their new victim is unmasked and is revealed as Kevin Murray)
Mac: (Looks at his watch) I'll be damned, he's right on schedule.

    • Hawkes: Why didn't you report this when it happened?
Dean: Because I finally decided to wash my hands off Martin. I could see already there'd be nothing but trouble in his future.
Hawkes: Hard to know that without traveling through time.

    • Flack: I dunno, if I could go anywhere back in time, I'd probably go back to my folks' place in Queens for my mom's corn beef Wednesdays. Yeah, I'd endure every one of my brothers' insults for one more taste of that paradise.

    • Hawkes: (holds up swab with blood on it) Someone came knocking a little too hard, I can tell you that much.

    • Sid: Well, I don't know how she was capable of drawing on her own buttocks.
Danny: I knew a kid in the Bronx who could blow out a candle with his own--
Stella: (hurriedly interrupts him) What about stomach content?

    • Mac: (Sees the glass on the floor with blood) Looks like this is where his time finally ran out.

    • Hawkes: A hand held GPS unit.
Adam: Only this time it was hand mounted (Sheldon smiles).

    • (After Stella explains the origins of her parachute gift.)
      Mac: Original and daring.
Stella: And a bit too aggressive for me.

    • Witness: It was a typical night time crowd. Dumb kids, blue hairs and blow hards.

    • Mac: Again, unless you have some information to share to shed some light on our victim, we'll see what else we can do for you.
Kevin: (Stands) How 'bout guaranteeing I'm still alive in 24 hours?
Mac: (Wry grin Ah, nobody knows what the future holds. C'mon, bye bye. Thank you. (Shows Kevin out the interrogation door).

    • Kevin: No, I've never seen this guy before.
      Flack: You sure 'bout that?
      Kevin: Yeah, I'm sure, why?
Flack: Because he just confessed to your murder.

    • Hawkes: (excitedly) In theory, if you built a machine that could travel the speed of light away from here, then slowed down, turned around and flew home just as fast, when you got back, a trip that might have lasted just seconds for you, could've been weeks for everybody else.
      Flack: Kinda like your explanation.

    • Flack: (to Hawkes, about the vicitm) Have any pictures of him in a straightjacket?

    • Mac: (to Stella, about romance) You and I are alike in a lot of ways, we both do everything we can to avoid this sort of thing. Sometimes, you just gotta take the plunge.

    • (While they are arresting Kelsey).
Kelsey: Well, at least she went with a smile on her face.
Stella: No, and I can promise you this: you won't either.

    • Danny: Fan-TAS-tic. We got horny college kids and horny mammoths.

    • Sid: In this case, the cause of death was an aortic aneurysm due to extrem sexual excitement...
      Stella: Death by orgasm?

    • (After Stella opens a box with a parachute in it).
Mac: There are safer ways to avoid the traffic.
Stella: Oh, traffic I can handle. Men are another story.

    • Witness: Can I have your number?
Angell: Why, are you in trouble?
Witness: No, but I'd like to be.

  • NOTES (4)

    • Rosalie Ward, who plays Kelsey Coulter, also appears in the C.S.I. episode The Lost Girls.

    • Eddie Cahill is a fan of Doctor Who so the writers added the reference to the show as a wink to the actor.

    • Both the victim's name, Martin Browning, and the clock tower where he lives are allusions to the movie Back to the Future and its sequels.

    • Stella: Mac, my last boyfriend, tried to kill me and I shot him.

This is an allusion to All Access (2x21) where Frankie followed Stella home and assaulted her and almost killed her.

    • Stella: Maybe this time Harry killed Sally.

Stella is referring to the 1989 movie When Harry Met Sally, starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. The movie is famous for the scene where Meg Ryan fakes an orgasm in a crowded diner, much like what happened to the victim in this case.

    • Flack: Paging Dr. Who.

Dr.Who is a BBC series which started in the 60s and ended in the 80s. It has been recently started up again (semi where it left off) in 2005. The series focuses on "the Doctor" who travels through time and often says he's a "doctor of everything".
