The painting that Danny looks at three minutes into the episode was actually painted by Carmine Giovinazzo, the actor who plays Danny on CSI: NY. The painting is titled Sister Tight.
Stella reads off an olive oil label in Greek- indicating (for the first time) she is, or at least knows Greek.
Goof: Homicide is misspelled "homocide" on the computer screen when the testing on the crime scene bullet is done.
Goof: The train shown at the beginning of the episode was letter J train. The next shot of the train shows a Number 9 Train. However, it is stated several times in the episode that the victim was found in a Brooklyn subway tunnel. 9 Trains do not travel to Brooklyn but J trains do.
Mac: Except when you're perspiring.
Will: You sweat when you have sex?
Mac: Slick was dead before he hit the subway tracks.
Stella: So we're looking at an electrocution to cover up an electrocution.
Ron Leatham: The written word is priceless. It's a work of art. You can't reproduce history.
Danny: No, but you can die trying.
John James: I didn't kill anyone. "Inhumanity" is authentic, 100 percent.
Danny: Well, it's 100 percent mine now. Sorry.
Aiden: It smells like chemicals of some kind, with a mixture of excrement.
Hawkes: Down here we call that a James Brown. It's funky.
Aiden: Anybody see anything?
Flack: When does anybody ever see anything?
Mac: No evidence of a struggle or anyone else being down here. Why would a kid cross the tracks?
Stella: To get to the other side?
Mac: One way or another.
Flack: So a crapsicle killed this guy?
Flack: Two crappers, no connection.
(Aiden and Flack are talking about the victim)
Aiden: It's all the chemicals found in deodorizers and disinfectants.
Flack: Deodorizers? That guy smelled like ass. What are you thinking?
Aiden: Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid, tetrasodium EDTA, benzosothyazolone...
Flack: Whoa, benzosothyzolone?!
Aiden: You know what that is?
Flack: ...No.
Carter Jenkins, who plays Will Galanis, also appears in the CSI: Miami episode Rio.
Jay Acovone, who plays Paul Gianetti, also appears in the C.S.I. episode It Was A Very Good Year.
German episode title: Unter Strom, meaning Live Wire.
Spanish episode title: Tres Homicidios, meaning Three Homicides.
Stella: That leaves only one option -- shock and awe.
"Operation Shock and Awe" was the name the United States military gave to their 2003 invasion of Iraq.
Name: James Brown.
James Brown is known as the godfather of soul and funk.
