  • A young kid gets shot in front of his younger brother...

Ok, first of all, I loved it... It definitely wasn't the best chapter ever but it was good enough, although I have to confess that by the title of the chapter and the promos I was all the time knowing that the kid was lying and that annoyed me a little. But I ahve to agree that it did surprise me at the end that Sam didn't shoot his older brother. Btw, how was Troy getting run over by the bus!! When Flack pulls him out and Troy's right arm is turned in every direction...WOW...

I, of course, loved that there was sooo much Flack in this chapter and that he had so cute scenes with the kid. Kuddos to both of them, Eddie and the kid, because they did a good job... especially the kid that managed to cry in most of the scenes!

The little DL moment was cute. He just says Babe and she exactly knows what he means...

Adam was too funny with the pig, and maybe I'm wrong but is it the first time he fires a gun?? I don't remember him holding one before...

I loved that even the there was no body they made Sid appear.

Stella was doing some science as a difference from the latest chapters where she seemed to boss a lot and do nothing...

Hawkes was great as always. And now a special mention to Aubrey/Mac...I like the pair so I'm just gonna say that they were cute, I liked the last scene wit Mac's face looking when she suggest they go to her place... pizza place!

    All in all, better...
  • Everything is not as it seems......

In this episode of CSI New York, the following happens. When a 14 year old boy is shot on the way home from school, the CSI team are called in to investigate. The only witness to the crime is Nicky's brother. What seems to be a straight forward case, turns out not to be. When they find Nicky's missing backpack, they find money inside of it which has been stolen from a bank. When they go to the bank, they learn that it was Nicky who robbed the bank. He asked for $933 as it was the amount needed to pay the rent on the apartment, they shared with their mother since their father died. When confronted with the truth, the witness admits what really happened.

In this episode playing off the film The Usual Suspects, we saw a kid become the vital witness to a shooting, and how often kids can be both frightened and unreliable in this situation. The child was played by Aaron Refven who many know for his one year tenure as Morgan Corinthos on General Hospital.

The episode was unique in its approach, but a bit boring at times. CSI: NY's ratings are down (in fact the franchise is down across the board) and I think part of that is how many scenes they show lab people dealing with forensics. I get that the show is called CSI, but you have to admit the scenes with loud rock music playing (and Abby is nowhere to be found) and the people sweeping down bones is not exactly riveting television.
