      • Carey: I am in very big trouble.
Skye: Yeah, you murdered a girl.
        Carey: No. I got caught.

      • Skye: And we do have a plan.
Jeff: Yeah. a great plan. You connect up with a bunch of crazies, go off God knows where, while I try to follow.
        Skye: Try to follow?
        Jeff: Total clue. Believe me.

      • Marti: Doesn't it get to you? This show? You and I are the face of it, in every scene, on every billboard.
        Roger: Comes with the territory.
Marti: Yeah, but I mean this show. The kind of fans it attracts.
Roger: With this great fame comes great responsibility. I'm paraphrasing, of course.
Marti: You really do handle all of this very well.
Roger: I've learned when to let the fans in and when to scare the crap out of them so they'll back off.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Title:
Referencing L. Frank Baum's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) and subsequent movie adaptation in 1939. Dorothy travels to the city of Oz to obtain a way back to Kansas from the Wizard. Accompanying her are the Cowardly Lion (seeking courage), the Scarecrow (seeking brains) and the Tin Man (seeking a heart). The primary refrain from the movie is "We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz."

      • Roger: With this great fame comes great responsibility. I'm paraphrasing, of course.
Referencing the line commonly attributed to the comic book character Spider-Man, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The line, as first used in Amazing Fantasy #15, is actually "With great power there must also come great responsibility."
